  1. Brand new you say? Did you buy it from a UK retailer? Did you buy it recently? If yes to both, stick back in it's box and send it back under warranty. Don't dick around trying to fix it yourself.
  2. @Jedi_Master Just a random brainfart, but would it not be worth adding another Moderator or two to the forums? After the influx of dodgy accounts and spamming of the Classifieds, perhaps some extra resource might be handy? No - I'm not volunteering - but there are very well established, high post count members that visit daily that would probably be very good in the role.
  3. I would say £95-100 if you apply the 2/3rds rule of thumb. At £120 - you are only £40 away from a brand new one - unmolested and with a warranty. And that waranty is very handy for these particular guns.
  4. Yeh, I had a Lonex BO Dynamics LT595. Pretty decent. Unlike the LT595, the sportline models have a weird barrel setup - no receiver threads or 'proper' outer barrel - there's a moulded receiver extension that holds on the outer barrel via a grub screw and the rail clamps onto it. Means you are pretty much stuck with the proprietary barrel and rail system. They are also sold as Tippmann Commandos. Decent guns otherwise - I would have one.
  5. Having seen several of King Arms 'Ultra grade' model in the 'real' at the Zero One showroom - I think would buy a Specna Flex series instead. The general fit and finish was a bit disappointing for such a well established brand.
  6. Just noticed that it's HK416-sized in rail height by the looks of it. That will somewhat restrict options to swap out the rail system.
  7. I like it. I'm hoping the prices remain reasonable - that's the main selling point of the DE guns.
  8. 5x ICS M4 owner here. Older CS4-based ICS guns have M90/95 springs and downgraded motors (to prevent over-spin) for the UK market. They were also produced in an era when many sites operated a 328fps limit so sub-300fps was the 'standard' out of the box for them. A few of mine needed spring replacements (I use XT M100 or M105 from @ak2m4 depending on barrel length) and replacement of the compression seals. A doddle with the split gearbox - there's a reason I have 5. I would also suggest replacing the Piston and Piston head at the same time - full metal rack is the way to go with these guns due to AoE - which is a 'thing' with ICS and the stock plastic pistons - AoE correction is trickier compared to a 'normal' GB due to the split design. I just throw in a full-metal rack 14 tooth piston and call it done. It would also be a good idea to pickup a few tappet plates from @HuttArmouries as they can be a bit weak on the older guns - although i haven't killed one yet. Going stock-less of a lot of fun, my CXP-15 was run like that for over a year. You can get a QD receiver end cap from Fire-Support that replaces the stock extension on the receiver (ICS-MA-86).
  9. [Controversial Take] I've come to the conclusion over the last few years that red dots are a waste of time and just add weight in CQB. Point'n'shoot down the flat top of the receiver/rail system is much quicker - for me at least. And the speedybois. [/Controversial Take] Those Holy Warriors do look lovely though.
  10. I'm more triggered that you got sucked into those weekly magazine kits. Did you complete the full set?
  11. That's pretty much covers it. And at the time (a couple years ago) it was around £25. Think they are around £30 now. The TS-100 that the unit is cloned from was around £60. It won't suit everyone, but for simple soldering (like XT60s or Deans), anything Airsoft related (e.g. rewiring a gun), building a small RC Plane/FPV drone, or small general electronics projects, it's a good little unit and about a million times better than the Weller 'dumb' soldering iron I was using before (slight exaggeration but you get the idea). It heats to whatever working temperature you set in just a few seconds and has an accelerometer built in to detect if you are using it, so powers itself down after a set time of non-use (you can specify in the options) until you pick it back up again. It needs a seperate power source (a big LiPo can be used, but I use a ToolkitRC power supply) so that's something to consider. At the end of the day it won't replace a decent soldering station as it's still only a 65W Iron.
  12. Umm - yeh. It has an integrated LCD screen and STM32 based processor. The 'Ralim' firmware changes the UI a bit (for the better) and raises the max temp to ~450C.
  13. EC3 and EC5 are just bullet connectors in a plastic housing, much like XT30/60. But unlike XT30/60, the EC connectors are seperate to the housing. Batteries should always be female (the tube ferrules). Gun side should be male (the bullets). I used to hate deans, but I've learned to live with them for Airsoft and can solder to them to a pretty decent standard. Biggest thing for me was switching to a good soldering iron - I use a Sequre SQ-001 with custom firmware and TBS 63:37 solder (both from HobbyRC) and soldering deans has been a doddle ever since.
  14. Just fuck right off...

I can't help feel some responsibility for mentioning CAS numbers...

  15. Well, I'm actually interested - I was looking for a G36 but an UMP tickles my fancy too. Post up pics.
  16. It's a tough one. Most experienced Airsofters knows that ARES OEM's these, and recent Negative Airsoft videos have not been complimentary at all towards Rapax. A good rule of thumb to start with would be around 60% of current retail - so that's what... around £360ish for the Gun + Mags?
  17. Tried XT60s - but found them too chonky for some applications. XT30s work well, but the reality is that Airsoft has settled on Deans as the upgrade path from mini Tamiyas, with loads of RIFs, LiPos and ETUs/Mosfets fitted with them from the factory, so I finally admitted defeat and switched exclusively to Deans for airsoft a few years ago. Still use XT60/30s on my RC stuff though.
  18. No way this is ICS - they only make the 'G33' which is their weird take on the G36 to avoid the ire of the Umarex lawyers. If you take the handguard off and take a picture of the barrel underneath (where the battery goes) - it might be possible to work out the manufacturer. Also - if there is a microswitch 'click' when you pull the trigger (no battery in the gun) - that would help differentiate too. Oh - and this looks more like a G36E to me..
  19. WTF is going on with that rail/receiver join? It looks like the receiver was built for a very specific rail system to lock onto it, and the OEM decided to throw on another altogether, leaving a gap. They don't even match in height on the upper rail. Having looked through the rest of Delta Armouries product line, it looks very much like the same fodder that comes from Huntsman, Specna, Lancer, Evolution et al. I would be interested to see the internals of the gun before passing judgement.

A cool looking, but otherwise very average chinese red dot. Why Zero One charge £90 for these new is beyond me - I guess the MD has to pay for his new Merc somehow, and they got enough unsuspecting punters through the showroom door to actually sell them. Anyway, got this in a kit bundle - but it's not my cup of tea at all. It functions, and the dot moves as it should when turning the dials. Just don't expect HolyWarrior or third-shift Sig Romeo 5 performance/brightness - it's just a cheap red dot with an insane mark-up, hence my price. Couple of small marks commensurate with use. Price includes Postage and Paypal fees

Viper VX Charger backpack in VCam (or whatever they call their multicam knockoff) - this came attached to a VX chest rig in a kit bundle I bought- I'm keeping the rig, but this is no use to me so selling on. In near-new condition - I don't think it was ever used. The only exception is one zip pull cord missing on the front 'expander' zip. Price includes Postage and Paypal fees

*Update* - After having a few people ask, I have been able to source a brand new 'standard' ICS MP5 Handguard locally (see pictures). Buyer gets to choose which handguard they want - and if they want both it's an extra £10. Never skirmished - it was bought to tick it off my 'to buy' list (having never owned an MP5 before). I now want a G36 to play with, so I'm moving this gun on. Plastic body, fitted with an ICS standard MP5 Handguard OR ICS B&T railed handguard and an ACM optics rail. Comes with two 230rd Hi-Cap mags. Stucturally sound (no stripped screws or cracked plastics) and in excellent condition - there are some small marks from storage but it's never left my house after purchase. Gun has been re-wired to deans, and had the mediocre stock ICS piston/piston head replaced with a brand new XT Lightweight Piston and XT alloy piston head from AK2M4. The gun otherwise is completely stock. Currently shoots 300fps at around 14.5RPS on a 7.4v LiPo. Usual selling restrictions apply - Over 18, UKARA or similar defence required etc. No offers - don't ask. I'm in no rush to sell and I am only selling exactly what is in the pictures, nothing more. No Dibs, I will not hold it until your next payday. Price includes Postage and Paypal fees. Collection from Christchurch, Dorset can be arranged for £5 off the asking price.

    £90

  23. Yeh - this. The VCRA is about the Import, manufacture and selling of RIFs, not ownership. The defense is to satisfy the seller that you are a legit airsofter. The seller fucked up - not your problem - you don't need to paint your gun. Enjoy it - responsibly!, and enjoy the additional resale value when it comes to selling it in future, as two-tone always command lower 2nd hand prices.
  24. Nearly bought an NY03 Lite because they looked cool and were a decent price on Patrolbase. Then I remembered those microwave oven door microswitch triggers and the inability to equip a decent ETU without modifications then thought better of it. I was in the market for a DMR - I would be looking at the Cyma M14 as per @Tackle's recommendation. I've seen a few in the 'real' on game days and they seem to be really solid performers.
