I guess more people have seen the TM one for sale as an AUG than realised there even is an F88 lol

  2. That is another debate entirely My view though is that eyes can only take in the equivalent of 28 FPS so as long as its more then that I dont care lol. Besides there is no hard in future proofing your pc
  3. You will notice it ingame. When I swapped I found it soo much better playing games, especially FPS titles.
  4. Wireless should no make a difference to download speed unless your router and adaptor card is rubbish (which I doubt it). To stream in HD you need a minimum of 1Mbps upload- if your playing multilayer then that obviously needs to be more. Most IP packages that offer that kind of upload are generally the upper end of the market. Using a wireless router will increase your latency substantially though which is why its generally considered to be best to use a Cat 5/6 cable to the router instead.
  5. Fecking better then mine. Its about average. Government wants everyone to have 8Mbps down so your fine good as far as there concerned
  6. Heh the coincidence, just picked Garry's Mod up in a sale for the grand total of £1.49.
  7. As long as part of your order includes an SSD yes
  8. If you leave it on the HDD then there is no point in having an SSD! There is a very good reason I am strongly encouraging you to get one. At least leave it till you have all the money together tomorrow and think about it.
  9. Updated version of my case. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-089-XG&groupid=2362&catid=1572 Corsair Carbide 230T would be worth a look as well, there is a red and black version... You do realise it is a mega pain in the ass moving the OS over onto a different drive?
  10. Well that was a coincidence as I was looking at the H230 when you mentioned the H440. I bring you H440s sexy friend: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-127-NX&groupid=2362&catid=2277
  11. dont buy it just let - i will try and find a good case which is £20 cheaper
  12. Or dont get the CPU cooler and use the stock one - £25 saved there.
  13. Facepalm* get an ssd! A 120GB will do fine if you cant get the 256GB.
  14. Samsung Evo's have a very good Rep.
  15. They are an awful lot quicker. You dont suffer from fragmentation either so they stay consistently fast till the day they go 'nope'. Have a look on youtube of the comparison videos of people comparing loading times of SSDs versus hybrid and HDDs.
  16. Lets say your OS is 20GB time you have included back ups e.t.c. CS-GO is 8GB TF2 is 15Gb Another 5GB in random programs. Thats 48GB If you managed to use the other 70 GBs doing school work before you got some money for a HDD I would buy the HDD for you...
  17. What kind of school work? I did 3 IT courses along with my other subjects and 4 years of school work still only worked out at about 2GBs.
  18. Just do what I did, get a 120gb SSD; you can still fit a fair few games on there provided you avoid the 50GB AAA games for the time being, then pick up a regular 1TB 7200rpm drive when you have a bit more money. SSD will shorten loading times but it wont give you any extra FPS or anything like that so running it off a HDD is no disadvantage. You will definitely want to pick the SSD up first and put windows onto it either way.
  19. Lol, I used to go to cadets with the guy who has had his head cropped out.
  20. After looking at some pictures of the F88 Austeyer I realised that with the exclusion of the flash hider, TM moddled the AUG A1's off the F88s externals and not a regular A1. Just ordered up a flash hider to convert it :)

  21. Awsome! You might as well get an A3. Neither one actually represents a RL gun particularly well but at least with an A3 you can mount acc's no problem. The nipple is not part of the gearbox btw, it sits in your magwell plate. If you change it you just need to take the gearbox out and then push out the existing one and swap it over. Best bit I have found with my TM so far is that it is a doddle to take out the gearbox. You just take the battery tray out of the stock, take the barrel off which like the real steel is quick release, then bang the stock against the table until it falls out. As for internals, I have never fiddled with my AUGs innards and dont intended to, its not that much younger then me but however prior owners have set it up it seems bomb proof.
  22. Its not someone did manage to do a conversion to make it functional though. The bolt release is functional though so I guess that is something.
  23. Id love to find an A2 receiver and create an F88 impression. However everyone only stocks A1 uppers which is annoying. Technical I could still turn the A1 into an original F88 (still used by NZ) but as well as changing the Flash Hider I would also need to make up a bracket to fit a peq box onto it. They have some weird mount that fits around the scope. There are a few other subtler differences but there is no way they could be replicate.
  24. Any AUG specific magazine. If you want mid caps you are in for a hard time finding them at a good price unless a new batch of the King Arms have been made. I use the Kings Arms and until I changed the feeding nipple they were slightly dodgy to get to feed. Never tried them but this is the last place I have seen AUG mid caps for sale at non Tokyo Marui price: http://www.airsoftsupplydrop.co.uk/store/mag-aug-170rds-mid-cap-magazine-box-set.html There made by MAG which generally have a good reputation. There is also the TM ones but they are very expensive. In regards to Hi Caps, the ASG and JG mags have a bad reputation, I've not tried them personally though. I have 2 TM Hi-Caps which have been absolutely fine so far, despite probably being 10 years old, would definitely recommend. You might also see the odd Classic Army one floating around which also have a good rep. One thing I suggest doing though if you get it is buying one of these: http://www.airsoftworld.net/replacement-aug-feed-nipple.html The plastic one that will come with the gun will wear out, the one on the Tokyo Marui I have was certainly getting there. These wont wear and are a bit longer so magazines will feed much more reliably. Its made a massive difference with mine.
