its a M4/27 g&p just something sturdy not likely to fall apart i dont know what the tactical advantages are for 1/2/3 point slings

Most M4 users tend to go with a single point sling attached just behind the buffer tube/receiver joint. I would suggest either the 8 Fields single point bungee sling or the MS2 type http://www.taiwangun.com/en/sling-ms2-type-olive-a-c-m?from=listing&campaign-id=19 which can be converted between a 1 or 2 point quite easily.
