  1. Seems you're not the first to have this problem http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/topic/197546-magazine-release-button-in-cyma-cm030/
  2. It's a screw. Hold the selector and turn the knurled part of the screw with some pliers.
  3. In that case, without knowing the size of the spring you need I'd say the same as SD, try an old biro spring or something.
  4. At that price for a new one I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it. But that's just me.
  5. Let's start with some basics. If something electrical is getting warm it's passing a lot of current. Possibly more than it should. Your gearbox sounds pretty far from standard, personally I think it's most likely the crappy thin wiring but even if you rewire with 16awg it's still going to get warm. If anything it'll get worse because the fatter wiring will pass more current. The wires might not get as warm but the motor still will. Ultimately you're running a high torque motor with high speed gears in an enclosure with little to no ventilation. It's going to get warm it's just basic physics.
  6. I've very much found that people either love the Mall or just can't stand it. If you take the time to learn your way around it's a great place. They've recently changed the layout and opened up some more routes out of the basement so the spawn camping/funnel of doom should be less pronounced but it's ALWAYS an issue in an enclosed environment like that. Personally I love the place but I can see how it doesn't suit everyone!
  7. I'm there tonight. I have an AFUK patch front and centre on my chest rig so come say hi if you spot me (black/typhon kit with a tan chest rig - I'll have either an M14 EBR, a Tan SCAR or an MP5K on the go tonight).
  8. This^ Oh the irony.....
  9. Oh no, I really am that clumsy! The Mall just makes it worse Newer boots have helped though.
  10. The WAS fairy just took a dump on my desk. 2 quick mags with pistol mag pouch and 2 90 round mag pouches. Small utility pouch is coming end of the week too.
  11. Scraped half the skin off one shin falling up the escalators at The Mall, same day the opposite knee ended up with what has now become a permanent lump just below the joint falling up some stairs. I clumsy.
  12. Good man! Can't make the 21st otherwise I'd love to say hi in person. Maybe another time.
  13. SCAR. Buy a SCAR they're ace and the people that own them are automatically 50% more attractive to the opposite sex. Most 1911s are a bit pants though. The problem is the size of the gas reservoir in the magazine being a bit small so on anything other than the Tokyo Marui models (which have a plastic slide) the gas efficiency is poor and well....it's just disappointing. The Tokyo Marui ones are better but still not totally great. I was gutted to sell mine though (Tokyo Marui 1911 MEU), they just look right to me. The ONLY rule about how many guns you can own is that the ideal number of guns is the number of guns you own plus one. Welcome to the madhouse/money pit!
  14. Yes! Come on down. Hello by the way
  15. I have a pair of M-Pact gloves. Pretty much ANY of the Mechanix tactical range will maintain your dexterity but none of them are designed to protect your hands from much more than grazed knuckles from banging against walls etc. If you're after protection from hits then armoured paintball gloves are probably your best bet. I've also used Helikon gloves which were OK but the fit isn't as good as the Mechanix ones (I have big hands but short fingers). I've tried Oakley SI gloves but just can't get on with the fit. One thing to bear in mind is that the standard SI gloves are just the old Factory Pilot "extreme sports" gloves in tactical colours so don't expect too much from them and you won't be disappointed. PIG Alpha gloves are meant to be the dogs danglies in terms of dexterity but are a very lightweight glove. Personally I'm holding out for the new Mechanix Breacher gloves which are due later this year.
  16. Socom Gear M107 shell ejector? Socom Gear Cheytac? Pretty much anything Socom Gear do that costs £1200+?
  17. Great to hear you got on well! I would echo Col Kurtz though. Don't bother throwing good money after bad trying to upgrade the AK12. Save up and buy a better gun. Keep the AK12 as a spare and do it up when you have the time. That way if it all goes horribly wrong you've still got a gun that works!
  18. Can I just ask - why have you put a rifle length barrel into a sub machine gun in the first place? Surely the whole point of the UMP is that it's a nice, compact weapon for moving around in restricted environments, putting a dirty great long barrel in kinda defeats the whole point of it, surely?
  19. I see what you did there. Very clever. Now stop it, it's silly
  20. Because some of us are happy to wind? Seriously though the sound activated ones tend to be "double" mags to fit the motor in which is fine if you like the whole "two mags taped together" look but it's not for everyone. Plus airsofters are a funny bunch - they'll happily pay a gazillion quid for a Haley Strategic velcro patch but god forbid they be asked to pay more than a tenner for a hi-cap magazine!
