  1. Typical Chinese metal thread, looking at your picture I doubt it would re cut sufficiently and the die you need is 14mm negative x 1 which are fairly expensive, cheaper and easier to pick up another outer barrel
  2. That is a lovely and very well done load out Russell, applause should be given, however I wasn't aware that the Lone Ranger was an Australian soldier.......
  3. Depends if it's the recoil version, with one of the adapters they can take normal stanag mags but the bolt catch system no longer works
  4. Take a long weekend break and bring one back yourself
  5. Your first post on here and this is what you do? Touchy subject is about right
  6. The other thing to note is quite how seriously milsims are taken and the amount of equipment required, if you are just starting airsoft then you will really to take the advice of playing 'normal' games for a while, milsim is a serious business, serious money and serious kit involved
  7. More pedantic, snipers use a rifle, a gun fires large projectiles generally and artillery piece
  8. Blowback is quite gimmicky in honesty, the G&G blowback isn't a great system and just makes a horrible rattling noise, no real kick, it's not adding anything and have seen many horror stories about them destroying the, selves, the standard G&G stuff for the money really can't be beaten, the ump is truly unreal, range, ROF are magnificent, far better than anything else for the money or the size
  9. G&G ump (umg) under budget and is an epic rifle
  10. Leave the standard gears in there, just add a decent high torque motor, SHS are ok but can be a bit screechy, lonex A2 are excellent and I'm waiting on an AIP40000 to arrive and will give an honest review once it's fitted
  11. I got hold of one of the SHS green nozzles for the last build and it was actually the wrong length by around 2mm causing the rifle not to feed
  12. Your list is fine but you don't need the gears, cyma gears are more than strong enough to run M140 and above, you will want a steel cut off lever as the standard ones are made of cheese and a guarder air nozzle and a bearing spring guide I've built a couple of these recently including one for myself which is working lovely now
  13. It hurts my eyes! Sacrilege, sacrilege I say!!!! Nyet M4 bits on an AK
  14. That's very odd for a real sword, ensure the hop is off and not fully on which may stop it feeding, I take it you have a hi cap supplied with it, make sure the rounds are free to feed as they are often full of oil which can stop it too
  15. Fucking disgusting, I'm lucky enough to have one, currently mounting it in a box frame, these people should be hunted down and publicly flogged
  16. Point of fact, one I've just finished and performing exactly as tac says, I'll just leave this here for you
  17. The bad news is you just referred to 'the licence' prepare for the onslaught
  18. I concur with all of the above, nothing wrong with something like the punisher, and as above, as long as it's not you trying to 'Walt' it up then what's the harm, those of us that have served can become a little annoyed at those who wear what they haven't earned at more so those who try to make out they are something they are not and have never been
  19. It's worth checking with your local site as to what they class as a DMR, 2 of the 4 sites I play at will only accept a DMR if it is a 'real' DMR, ie M14 etc, it stops people taking a short M4/MP5 locking it to semi, hiking the fps to 425, fitting a mosfet and an 11.1 and spamming the shite out of it
  20. The seigetek gears are not the greatest, the prommy gears are far better and you will lose fps down to that wide bore barrel, so any real gain you've made in dos you'll lose on that, wide bores generally only work on gbb rifles I've built a couple of recoils for people and seen those gears break up whereas the prommy ones are mental hard
  21. Well they've processed it now, payment all done, had numerous emails saying what's going on at each stage, let's see what happens in the next few days
  22. It is my first order with them so I'll give it a couple of days before I ping them an email, I suppose they are probably checking out my defence etc before taking the payment
  23. Has anyone else had any issues trying to order from gunfire.pl using paypal? I've just tried to order from them, had all the usual sign up email jizz, made the order, got an order confirmation email with an order number but no money seems to have left my paypal?? And the order screen says payment will be booked automatically?? Never had this before on any other site, is this usual with them, have I done something wrong etc?
  24. I sit back and watch threads unfold and am amazed at how many people comment and give advice with absolutely no knowledge of what they are talking about

I'm not aiming it at anyone in specific just an observation of people in general I've seen join since I did a year or so ago.

Esoterick - I know what you're saying. Thing is though that there is a lot of value even in the posts of some of the less experienced. Someone that's only been playing for a year may well have taken apart more guns in 12 months than someone that's only ever used a gun as standard for 10 years. Some tenuous length of service doesn't make what they have to say any less valid. That said there is some rubbish spouted sometimes ;)

I think really people should be mindful of what they are saying if it could potentially lead to someone breaking their kit. Nothing wrong with people wanting to help each other, sometimes just think people should highlight they aren't quite sure what they are saying. Also agree time isn't everything but you don't go from knowing nothing to everything in a month or two.

  25. the first one you've listed mate, made by action, i actually ordered mine through ebay and it was only £30 odd delivered
