It's been a few years since I've been on the forum so thought I'd do an updated loadout photo.
Kit: SRC G-36KV with Ares front end, TM G22, old pair of Grafter boots, DPM combat 95s, Viper Lazer Special Ops Plate Carrier, Kombatuk dropleg holster, Bolle goggles and ASG face shield.
I am contemplating replacing my DPM with a dark grey set of combats and also a new holster and helmet setup.

next 3 pieces of kit on my wish list are a G26AV, a black chest rig or plate carrier and a black helmet

now i feel like getting my warhammer 40000 collection out and adding some stuff to it then put it on here

So the DD rail will fit my Star L85 without any modifications?
yes if it's the real steal one
-
Nice job... what did you paint it with, Adam?
painted it with halfords black spray paint and it's held up to 10~ hours of handling over the last couple of weeks, it's how I test the adhesion
now just to get that G26 advanced I always wanted and a UGL

In Hants & IoW Battalion we only have a few crappy ones in stores, all our kit except uniform is still DPM. Most prepared cadets buy their own MTP crap hat and some commit to buying MTP webbing once they're fairly senior.
Cambs was always very well equipped we got given stuff by the TA's royal logistics core
-
Or just stay kind of realistic- the only unit even remotely connected with the military who wear a beret out into the field (well, the only one I know about other than perhaps basic training) are Army Cadets who are too thick to buy a field hat/boonie. Even then the mongs among us (geddit?) who end up with the berets on have to take out the cap badge to eliminate any reflectiveness.
I had a bonnie issued to me in the army cadets

Don't worry mate , It's going to be sprayed soon anyway.
looks very similar to my project granted I'm going to have a full g36 RIS with side mounted bipod legs
-
A box mag! #facepalm
The halfords camo paint is great. Use it a lot.
only for when i want to go with my sci fi look and be silly
maybe a cmag instead
-
Excellent, thanks. I may be buying myself some of that now.
good luck
-
That G36 is looking good! Where did you get that paint from? Also, is it any good?
Halfords camo black paint, it's really good after ruffing up the surface it comes out like new
-
after a liberal application of sandpaper and black paint
next on my list is a RIS, 250mm suppressor, foregrip and a box mag

I'm not saying that bang rules are ok I think they are BS it's MEDs I hate and I'm not even a sniper, we play for the realism or we would be playing paintball
-
What?! no, don't be retarded. No one is saying that shooting someone at point blank with a 500fps gun is a good idea, the MED is there for a reason but to suggest that snipers can 'bang' kill people inside their 30m MED is outrageous. If that were a rule I'd buy a sniper rifle tomorrow and never fire a shot because I wouldn't ever have to aim again; I could just run about shouting bang and people would be dead.
If you have a sniper rifle that has a mandatory MED then its USELESS even as a prop inside of that MED, get another gun or go for the contact-kill.
As for someone putting the muzzle of a loaded 500fps gun anywhere near my face (e.g. on my shoulder)... I dare you, I double dare you to try that. It'll end up with that 500fps gun in 2 bits over my knee and some tiny tears from the pleb who thought it was a good idea.
my point is that if they are within 5m then I'd say bang rule is acceptable as a sniper in the army isn't going to not shoot someone if they are under 30m in the 5m to 30m med area then it's fine as it would be hard to hit but at even 5 meters a human sized target is unmissable unless you have difficulty seeing
