  1. now for something less visually offensive! (maybe, depending upon your views on AR based rifles) TM HK416D Replica Eotech EXPS 3.0 Invisiblesight PEQ15 (IR/VIS) Magpul RVG
  2. I have a LOT of time for this, it's completely practical with no bullshit. If only I were able to get my brain to do that... the shinies, they call to me!
  3. If you're looking for a home for one of those flash hiders chris, give me a shout, my 416 would look the dogs b******s with one of those on the end!
  4. A-two MAP style pack in AOR2, wanted an OPS one but they're out of stock :-( (Really wanted an eagle one, but who has that much money?!)
  5. haha, yeah, the recoil mags there cost more than most people's guns!
  6. TM glock is an awesome little gun, I was dubious myself til I bought one but it shoots straight for a fair old distance and has never once vented a mag on me. Even got 2 full mags worth of BBs from one gas fill last weekend when it was 3C outside, although admittedly it didn't lock back the slide the second time it was empty.
  7. question is though... 2 identical AEGs, clearly they're not going to stay identical for long so what's going on them?
  8. I think the point being made is that most places would like a DMR specced airsoft gun to look like a real world DMR. E.g. a M14, HK417, SR25, Dragunov, G3, etc. There's no real world situation where an infantry unit's designated marksmen have been issued the MP5, because it's very much a close range gun. Going by your logic it would be perfectly acceptable for me to get a pistol shooting at 400FPS and claim it's a DMR because it's semi auto only.
  9. the police use semi automatic MP5s because they're not allowed fully automatic weapons, the real MP5 also has a much lower muzzle velocity than for example a minigun... does that mean a minigun is more DMR than an MP5? your argument is invalid.
  10. 3m safety glasses will absolutely stand up to an airsoft gun, no doubt about it. I expect they'll be designed with stopping high speed, sharp bits of metal from exploding drills/lathes etc so 6mm plastic balls at slow speed will be nothing.
  11. he can play house with Maddie McCann then!
  12. yep, that'd be the one, I was the fella with the green death tracer spitting MP7. Small world!
  13. A little off topic perhaps, but did you happen to play in the courthouse in bristol this evening? A fella there had pretty much the exact same mod!
  14. For the price those are a pretty good deal based on the reviews, I can't stress enough that china clones don't actually provide any tangible protection!
  15. as hearing protection I can't recommend the z-tactical sordins, dunno about their comtac replicas but the sordin model is just a moulded PVC earpiece shape with a (really quite uncomfortble) pad round the edge and a couple of circuit boards inside. They do certainly dull your hearing when you wear them but since there's no actual insulation I'd say they're a no go for anything other than looks. That and the sound reproduction from the in built microphones isn't very good. Saying that though, for real shooting I don't wear real sordins either (who needs comms on a range?), I tend to wear yellow foam ear plugs and a set of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peltor-H64FB-Shotgunner-Ear-Defenders-BNIB-Army-Issue-/350928524757?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item51b4f855d5 If you're looking to really protect your hearing that is absolutely the way forward. Unfortunately it does make you quite deaf which will effect your situational awareness while playing.
  16. Agreed, there's a definite undercurrent of elitism on here and on every airsoft forum really about so called CoD softers. They're just kids who get a bit excited about getting to hold guns and shoot at people. Only time it should ever be a problem is when they cheat, e.g. "I'm on last stand" etc. Really though, get over yourselves guys, you run about in the woods dressed like a soldier and shoot people with a BB gun. So do CoD softers, they just get excited about it for a different reason.
  17. and my contribution, needed (want to keep my teeth) some decent full face for CQB so following a guide on Arnies I built this: It's a set of ESS Profile turbofan goggles with the bottom half of a Sansei style mask cable tied on the bottom. No idea how it will perform in practice but it'll definitely protect my teeth and face!
  18. best bet is to put a band of high visibility tape in the recess on the grenade, it'll glow like a fucker when you shine a torch on it that way. Failing that, you could use a keyring to attach a small glow stick? Glow in the dark paint is actually pretty shit at glowing.
  19. I think in future when people ask 'what am best starter gun', I will refer them to the G&G AK.
  20. indeed, on a REAL M4 canted ironsights are a great idea as a backup if you have a magnified sight on top since rifling doesn't care about alignment of the gun... on an airsoft gun though hop-up with f**k you in the ass.
  21. Oh beards you say ? This was last year's deployment beard at about the halfway point, for your safety no photos exist after this point.
  22. So what's your beef, that their parents can afford to buy them £2,000 PTWs? If so, dry your eyes and move on, there's always someone with more money/better car/fitter wife. Be happy with what you've got and plan for what you want to get, ignore those who have greater means, theirs or those they're borrowing from others.
