  1. that looks bloody brilliant, what brand of textured paint was it?
  2. yes, that would definitely work, if you wanted to you could wire the pressure pad and a switch in parallel and you'd be able to pick between the two.
  3. d'oh, thinking about it, I've still not finished the BF4 single player so that's probably why they've blended into one!
  4. Battlefield 4 "An idea is like a virus. Resilient. Highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you."
  5. Creation Enhanced loading nozzle for my MP7, after a year of solid abuse the old nozzle is now too worn to cycle smoothly and so it's time for a replacement.
  6. picked up one of these for cheap in the flash sale, got it for just over £120! http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-sights-scopes/we-phantom-4-x-32-spectre-doctor-sight.htm#.UvTn4_l_uCF
  7. like you said, mil radios are a pain in the hoop, too much specialised kit to program and charge them. I'm 99% sure you could buy a bunch of chinese puxing or baofeng radios and program them to work on non-PMR446 frequencies. Obviously you'd need a license for that, but it'd mean you'd be able to get a source of cheap (ish) reliable lightweight radios that'll work on a discreet frequency without much fuss, as a bonus they'll also work with standard PTTs so anyone with a headset that ends in a TP120 plug should be able to use them without too big a faff.
  8. The standard PMR446 walky talkies that most people have are quite limited for a bigger event, they've only got 8 available channels so if you've got more than 60 odd people attending then sections are gonna have to start sharing channels! Often one of those channels will be reserved for emergencies too, so that reduces things further. However, every mil-sim organiser in the UK insists that players provide their own intra-section radios and some will provide a radio per section for chatting to Zero/other sections etc. I personally wouldn't want to lug a clansman around (not even a diddy 349) as those things are f*cking heavy lumps!
  9. my only input here is; "airsoft on an airfield, SOMEONE CALL THE FOD POLICE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!".
  10. well I'm sold, will be hitting him an email this afternoon!
  11. heroshark has just come out with another innovation, this time with blanks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSNeR_DcMSo&feature=youtu.be
  12. TM M4A1 SOCOM, Madbull 12.5" Daniel Defence RIS 2 in DE, element M3X long flashlight in tan, vanaras PEQ15 in tan, G&P tango down style fore grip in tan, Magpul ladder rail covers in DE. Next on the list of things to buy, teeny tiny thin LiPo batteries to go in the RIS, a Magpul CTR stock (real ones are cheaper than PTS, lolz) and potentially an Elcan SpecterDR 1-4x (but probably just a knockoff EOTech EXPS3)
  13. any plastic tube with an internal diameter of 6.5-7mm will do the job really! depending on how good you are with poly cement and a file you could use a cheap ballpoint pen.
  14. It's tangible if someone rings the guy that owns your site and asks if you're a regular player. That's what counts. The lad telling you that 'junior UKARA' rolls over is talking shit, probably shit he's been told himself. UKARA as we all know is a database of site membership numbers, you can't be put on that database until you're 18, them's the rules. UKARA as an organisation have NO policy for under 18s, junior UKARA has been invented by a site owner or retailer to fill a gap in people's understanding of the law.
  15. yeah they'll probably do the trick.
  16. depends how well your site owner has read the fine print. Most haven't read it at all and are of the "3 games, 2 months, hulk smash" mindset. UKARA is just putting your site membership number on the database, so playing one game is sufficient if your site owner thinks that he's willing to take you on as a member after that. My local have separate games for under 18s and they record attendance, a couple of those lads have turned 18 and got their membership immediately because the site owner KNOWS they've played enough to qualify and they'll continue to do so.
  17. Junior UKARA is a feed of shit, the LAW states that only a person over 18 can buy any type of imitation firearm, realistic or otherwise. The only thing I can see this being is a juniors site membership scheme to allow someone's parents to buy a RIF for them, but I can't see all that many retailers going for it.
  18. yeah pretty much, I don't do standard AEGs now, marui and their recoilly goodness have ruined me so I'm looking for a way to make a M4A1 SOPMOD Block 2 without using a PEQ box (I have a working PEQ15 I'd like to put on it) or having batteries in a crane stock. Have spoken to a couple of recoil gurus and they reckon small thin split pack lipos go either side of the barrel inside the RIS2... just.
  19. Awesome kit dude, where did you get the jacket?
  20. Cipher, where are you putting the batteries? Are the squeezed into the RIS?
  21. Firefly bucking and prometheus flat nub. Eagle industries FSBE bum bag, or fanny pack as the americans call it.
  22. If you get a chance to do a review of this I'd be really interested in reading it, even if it's just brief. The speed of reloading those looks like something that would really appeal to me!
  23. failing that, plasticine is heavy and can be squeezed into the magazine to guarantee no rattling!
