1. Thanks, didn't think anyone would tbh haha
2. Is that a video file? Because it looks like an MP4.
3. If you don't wear a t-shirt under the under-body-armour-combat-shirt you'll get a lot less hot. Dunno if you tried it already but a lot of people seem to do it for no reason.
4. Not my work but I've had a few of these made in different camos over the past couple of years. Have been talking with a couple of different companies, hopefully within a few months they'll actually be available and in just about every camo that you can get gear made in.
5. There's flag patches and flag patches, which are very different to unit/service patches, but there's an awful lot of grey with room for personal interpretations. I do think there is a small difference between the little union jacks sewn on to issued kit vs a £3.50 black velcro version you slap on airsoft kit, but certainly nobody cares about all the players running around in surplus PCS shirts and rightly so. I think it might be slightly more likely to appear you're portraying yourself to have served in a foreign military unit if you wear their issued flag on their issue uniform, mounted in the location mandated by their regulations and the rest of the gear is all pretty accurate; whereas cutting about in an issue MTP UBACS with a condor belt rig etc etc ('tyical' player) is a different look overall. Not telling anyone they shouldn't, just some thoughts. Either way it needs to stop before any unit patches as far as skirmishes go. They make zero functional difference and adding 1% more immurshun to your weekend bb wars in no way takes precedence over the experience of guys who may well have been through some real shit while wearing that stuff.
6. Never thought a PDR lower, LVOA rail, G36 carry handle and AR upper could make a gun but that would definitely go down a storm at the prop house for a sci-fi production.
7. Sorry google photos doesn't like sharing apparently but the quality when uploaded to the board isn't great (at least on my screen), hopefully fixed now.
8. Basically on the notch ideally, though realistically just below so as not to rub. Plates are just there for the heart and the major blood vessels around it, some of the spine and some of the lungs really, since you've got a reasonable chance of surviving a shot to most other areas (except the brain which has the helmet) if treated quickly - comparatively speaking of course. Some Crye JPC 2.0s I had hands on today (just one's mine):
9. High? Nah that's where plates are actually meant to sit - at least that'd be my guess based on where his clavicle joints are under the jacket. Obviously it does not matter with bbs, but 99% of players wear their rigs super low. (not saying you don't know, just speaking generally)
10. Seen this one discussed a few times over the years, actually did it one time about 12 years ago when I first started because I thought 'wow what a genius move nobody's ever done this'. Felt kinda like cheating, looked a bit like cheating, has no place in the average game with no LARP elements. I've always fancied a US deadrag system myself for this reason, saves a tired arm if you're outdoors with a long walk to spawn. Comes down to a simple thing though - just put one in to anyone who doesn't have a hand up. If they whinge it's their own fault. I mean watch them for a second or two just in case they're switching hands obviously, but after that it is 100% their problem and if they get shirty they're an idiot.
11. Little maglite widget that happens to fit in SureFire scout lights to add polycarb protection came in yesterday. New Evo came in today, old one'll be for sale just a heads-up haha.
12. The annoying thing is that probably cost the same-ish as my chrome King Arms Thompson and I'm sure it shoots better and it definitely looks better.
13. So yeah, interesting place. Safe zone's decent of course, as you'd expect, though you have to go through the game zone to get to the toilets which I found a tad awkward not knowing the layout. It's bigger than I expected though, I'd say there was enough room for the number of players involved. Was myself and 4 others attending, just me and 1 other with own gear. Couldn't tell what brand the rental guns were, they were brand new and seemed to work just fine, but my biggest complaints would probably be the ancillaries supplied with them. My mate's batteries died on them a couple of times each within the space of a few hours which obviously impinged on their play somewhat. I know for 100% fact this wasn't due to the number of shots fired as the regular rental package includes (and this blows my mind) a single hi-cap fill of bbs. There were a lot of dudes running around in there will hosed-up hi-capas and god knows how many rounds on them, I'd say a good 1/3 of players were full on speedsoft and some were blatting away at super rapid rates of fire - I took a 5-6 shot string that raked up the entire side of my torso in under half a second at one point. A couple of hundred shots to last many hours of play in there is a joke and I'm really bloody glad the 2 of us who were walk-ons had way more ammo than we'd need so we could help out our friends. Otherwise it's like birthday paintball where they know damn well you'll burn those '100 free' in no time and defo have to buy more. Not a setup I've encountered in airsoft before. Couple of other key points if you're going to attend. Not knocking the site for either, just advice. -Some areas are literal blind man's world, make very sure you have a light of some kind. -Regular goggles/glasses cannot withstand the orders of magnitude increase in fogging from the covid mask you're required to wear at all times, mesh would be extremely strongly advised. Or try out different lower face coverings and bring something that most definitely directs breath from your nose in a downwards direction. Initial brief was extremely long, which I'd have been fine with if between-games ones weren't dragged out unnecessarily which imho they were on at least one occasion. Chrono was also super slow, which I get being a brand new place and the added time with the covid restrictions, but I hope they can do something about it in future. Still a good physical location overall and car parking in the kennet was a piece of cake - site entrance is literally next to the road you drive in to the car park. I'd go again given the location and physical game area, but most likely not until the rona has simmered down and they've smoothed out the whole running of the place a bit further.
14. What has the expense of my gear got to do with anything at all? Best not to make weird passive-aggressive little statements then say 'each to their own' it's rather contradictory. The fact you didn't read the post I made inbetween my previous 2 and made an incorrect assumption on my knowledge as a result is entirely your own fault, no need to get miffed at me about it.
15. Can't speak for all models, but with my TM SCAR with same style stock adapter the battery just sits in the buffer tube same as on most M4 AEGs. Wires run right though, works great.
16. I feel I may have come across purely sarcastic. In the realm of airsoft Al's question is redundant. It's almost as redundant as asking why people put any stocks or handguards on their airsoft guns or paint them or use any given pistol grip over another with similar ergonomics. Anyone who's spent a time amount of time thinking about the subject can figure that out very easily. If you prefer the look you do it, same reason people copy guns from films and TV etc. A lot of guns people see on YouTube now have braces and they want to mimic that aesthetic and I count myself among them just haven't ordered the braces I want yet. Objectively, any given organisation can't know where a thing is if they don't know where it is. If you tell them where it is, they'll know where it is. Anyone is welcome to think that civilians shouldn't be allowed guns you can crack on, but the aforementioned is demonstrable facts irrespective of political affiliation.
17. Saves filling out all the paperwork and paying $200 to have a sub-16" barrel on your AEG or GBB. Worth it imo. Got at least one or two in my future purchases lined up.
18. Booked in myself and 4 work mates for the evening of the 22nd, see you there if anyone's attending. Been waiting for something like this to open that's close-ish and runs on week nights ever since the mall shut. Anyone got some feedback now on the best parking spots? Least distance/cost and most likely to have spaces?
19. You just skipping the 3D printing SCAR accessories part and just 3D printing the whole thing?
20. Bit of a throwback but only to like 3-4 years ago.
21. This advert is COMPLETED!

First thing's first - I ALWAYS avidly check VCRA defences, don't try me. Dunno how long I've had this thing, but it pretty much barely functioned upon arrival, never been skirmished. I was going to chop it up and bin it but that seemed a waste when someone could use it for spares at least. Though I have no idea if the internals (or indeed externals) are compatible with the current VFC licensed glocks as this was released years before those. Missing both iron sights and the hop bucking, but the trigger mech all works and with a new bucking it will actually function: cycle and feed bbs. However the performance is so pathetic you absolutely should not buy this to actually attempt to use it in game, it's really really bad. Don't say I didn't warn you. Trades are at least nice and realistic. Price doesn't include P&P.

22. Must admit I think a MOE K2 (if you want to keep that angle) would also be a huge improvement over the TM pistol grip since you've got the brace on there, but good looker regardless. Nice rail and neat + compact Scout setup.
23. General tip for any spiritus and associated clone rigs; put whatever you're gonna carry in to the insert beforehand as mentioned, whether it's 556 mags, SMG, whatever, then kinda bend it in to a curve and push it in. Only the convex side of the velcro will try and stick on the way down and you can just slide a piece of paper/your hand/your Trojan Magnums in there to stop it adhering before the insert is fully home. After 1 or 2 goes you can swap loadouts in seconds.
24. I'd take one over two aaaany day personally, but beauty is in the eye. T-1 maybe, but I think the 30mm tube classic aimpoints overall have much too much volume/surface area for tiny SMGs I have to say.
