  1. It got to customs 2 days ago at essentially the very busiest time of the entire year? Yeah buckle in for a good old wait yet, doubt they're in work for the bank holidays either (at the very least).
  2. Bits from Fire-Support. Parts from weapons762/ebairsoft aka the artist formerly known as ebaybanned. Stuff from 18airsoft. Things from WGC. Honestly, didn't expect the TTI Glock mag to be gas tight on arrival, but surprisingly it is. Was a lot cheaper than my Guarder lightweight/aluminium extended mags and might even be a tad lighter. Not a realistic mag replica but comes in various colours and functions in my VFC and TM Glocks; pretty good deal. If it holds up long term I'll really be impressed. The carbon fiber bits are the most stupidly extravagant purchases I have ever made for my RIFs, not a smart move but I'm just out here min-maxxing certain things what can I say. If anyone can guess my current build project they win.. absolutely nothing because it should be an easy guess 😂
  3. If the way you mostly enjoy the game is going for the objectives and trying to win, then a gun with comparatively tiny mag capacity and a more significant logistical train won't help. But if you just enjoy being out and pew pewing at folks and everything else be damned, then the more realistic gun will add a lot to that (though maybe not so much in the winter..) Looking at your specific personal situation, I don't think 1 AEG and 1 GBBR is necessarily the best move. To me, that's a lot of extra shizzle to cart along to every game with mags and power sources not being compatible between your 2 guns. Some people will find that totally worth it of course. The pendulum has massively swung on the whole GBB rifle thing of course and right now it's all the way on the gas side, but I think 2 decent AEGs makes the most sense for playing this game, a base line as it were. Especially if said 2 RIFs can share mags, batteries and BBs.
  4. Love 4x or more for spotting peoples arm bands through the brush myself, but I don't wear my glasses in games; and you certainly don't require it anyway. End of the day, if you're at a site and ask anyone with a scope to take a quick gander through it for a sec to see how you like it they're going to say yes.
  5. You'd have to take the whole gearbox apart to change the trigger, can be done for sure but depends how confident you are taking the gun right down to components. It also comes with a copy of an early type Geissele Mk16 rail and it has a Geissele style charging handle already, so not sure why you'd change them? You can put on whichever airsoft or real stock you like but obviously it has to have room for your battery. Pistol grip is an easy swap with some screw drivers for any AR AEG grip and there's chinese copies of Magpul pistol grips out there under various names, but of course be sure to refit the motor properly and adjust accordingly.
  6. jk jk I think I last saw one of those a solid decade ago, had forgotten they even existed actually, cool find. Granted, I'd rather seen it on a Gen3 can't deny that lol, but with the vertical moulding it does blend with the lines on the 5 for sure; weirdly well in fact.
  7. The PTS is the base line for actually attaching NV to imho, but you'd still want to make sure to give the mount a good wiggle before setting off with any setup. I had their Flux for a bit and compared to it to my real MTEK carbon, and taking price difference in to account it's definitely a solid option. Obviously any carbon or bump from Ops-Core will be good, probably TW too but I've never tried any of those myself to be able to comment. There's also the various soft mount 'skull crushers' if you want something purely to mount NV with minimal bulk and weight and cheaper than the real helmets. I've only tried the Tracer Tactical one which is great, but any of them from a quality gear brand is an option.
  8. Unless you want to spend a fair bit on something new production, sounds like time to dig around local surplus/ebay for an old issued Minimi or GPMG sling. They're super wide and well padded and built to outlast all of us.
  9. You don't even have to open the locking lever, just get an adjust'y on the nut on top of the pivot for said lever (hell, pliers if you don't have spanners). Little nip will do it, unless it's some weird af airsoft-special outlier that's super weirdly designed or your rail is monstrously out of spec. In which case go for the shimming mentioned previously.

    AEG M4A1 Front Set

    This advert is COMPLETED!

Recently had an M4 scratch built, but I changed the external parts of the front end right away upon collecting it (already had stuff I wanted to use in my own possession). Didn't take any of this to a game, but obviously there are some very minor marks from assembly and disassembly. Unfortunately I've absolutely no idea on brand, came from Negative Airsoft's GIGANTIC collection of spare parts. Probably something like CYMA, Specna or DE. -2 part outer barrel, standard base (not G&P taper), 14mm neg thread. Can be converted from a 14.5" to 10.5" for the CQB-R look in a few seconds by unscrewing the front section (obviously you'll need a silencer if you fit the full 363mm inner barrel). -Standard A2 bird cage FH with grub screw. -Standard AEG spec barrel nut, RS style delta ring and spring. -Gas block/FSP attached with pins and grub screw, no markings, older USGI style integrated front sling swivel. -Faux gas tube fitted but is short so doesn't go all the way in to the upper receiver. -Upper handguard is a good, tight fit between delta ring and retainer cap. Doesn't have the rear clamp of a real KAC RAS, but has 2 grub screws fitted by NA that tighten against the faux gas tube. Lower handguard isn't mega tight but not too bad. No markings anywhere. -Comes with depicted covers and foregrip. Covers are a bit loose, but that could be remedied with tape in a few seconds if you're not intending to frequently take them on and off to change accessories. VFG is solid. Again no trades/markings anywhere. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

No idea on brand I'm afraid, I wasn't the original buyer. Hasn't been used in game, very close to retail condition. Decent quality plastic for a replica. Is the Mil-spec tube diameter. Obviously airsoft buffer tubes vary a ton so I can't make any guarantees on tight fitment, but it was a good, close fit without any rattling on the gun I took it from. Lacks the QD socket of newer RS SOPMOD stocks, replicating the design from the 2000s which was usually manufactured by LMT in those early days for US SOF. Also has the removable plug under the butt plate for routing the wires on batteries which side in the side storage tubes. Not quite as much room as the PTS stock, but still loads of capacity while looking like a real rifle stock. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

Think this is G&P.. had it forever lol. Originally came attached to a Comp M2 style Aimpoint replica (30mm diameter). Only been to a couple of games, minimal scuffs, all good and working. Clamps solidly on to every rail I've tried it on across many guns with the thumb screw on the base. The intent behind these designs originally was to still have the red dot optic mounted to the upper receiver on an AR so it would reliably hold zero, while also moving it forwards and hanging over the handguard if necessary. If you want to run a FTS magnifier (and maybe rear backup iron, depending on you gun and amount of rail space) this style mount is pretty good. Or just to replicate ARs from the 00s. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

  13. Most likely a lot longer than the Secutor overall.
  14. Any idea what's actually wrong with it exactly? Mine has died on me a couple of times over the years, first the wiring/electrics, then the piston totally sheared in half. Been fully resurrected both times, still ticking along. Currently in with Negative to get another check up and potentially improvements. We chatted about about them for a bit and I'd have to say I think it'd have to be pretty nuclear-bad for it to be totally unsalvageable. Feel free to DM me at any point if you like to discuss it.
  15. You get *half* a gun, since the TMH is away with the standard issue style body getting worked on. The base idea was to do a really modernised L85 Carbine (i.e. not the L22) without going down the more unusual routes like fitting a CASV. Haven't finalised the muzzle or optic/s yet, but there will be a silencer in the mix as an option.

Came with a donor gun but I don't run Hi-Caps myself so never been used. Bog standard 'comes with the gun' style seen with most AR AEG purchases, 300rnd capacity. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

Modern AliEx copy. Came attached to an Aimpoint Comp M2 style red dot I'd bought, but I've moved that dot to a different mount. Mounts to most rails nice and tight thanks to the thumb screw/clamp on the base. Design was commonly seen on Mk18 CQB-Rs to mount Aimpoint red dots in the earlier days with SEALs (generally at least 10+ years ago). Seen one game I think, but no damage. Pretty close to new condition. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

Modern AliEx copy. Came attached to an LPVO style scope I bought, but I swapped it out for a different style mount before I ever used this. Supposedly the scope I had fitted was 30mm, but there was a mm or so gap between the base and upper clamps, so either the mount is a hair too tight or the scope was a hair too wide: airsoft tolerances. Still tons of thread engagement so the scope was never going anywhere and the gaps were not noticeable from a couple of feet away. Mounts up very securely on a rail that's anywhere close to picatinny spec using the 2 thumb screws. Anodisation seems pretty tough for what it is. Nice smooth surface and geometry of the base metal. Price includes fees, and postage within the UK.

  19. Any military officer or civilian of high enough rank who's involved with that sort of program can decide at any time they don't like the feeling of x, y or z and write it in to the contract. I'm not saying that has happened here, but it's the sort of thing that does and can happen. As always, the only proof of the pudding will be eating it i.e. wait and see. That's all anyone can do.
  20. Took me hours of work to get from the top to the bottom.
  21. I'd imagine they're currently in the process of being absolutely wrecked in the market by the TM AKM and VFC AK-74; this sounds good on paper but of course as we know the issue is they just can't actually manufacture things properly.

Looking for barrel mounted, stamped/engraved Colt markings, newer the better. Price is a very rough guide, room to negotiate for sure.

  23. Doesn't matter what shape the mag is there's always a 6mm coming out, so if it works then crack on. As a speccy-four-eyes I say stick a massive 20x scope on an MP5k if you like.
