Yeah went to a few of those and also used to do the car boot bit! Was always good. Shame they haven't done one this year, so I am treking up to the F&O Military Mart to try and shift my surplus gear instead. The airsoft boot fair down in Bexley is good too - I did the first one as it coincided with a visit to the inlaws in Essex. I got to avoid the mother in law with the excuse that I was making money

How about something different, and go for a Chalker sling? I use one for CQB with a stubby M4, very comfy although probably not too plate carrier friendly. Good with belt kit!

Looks like your anti-reverse latch is in the wrong place. I'm assuming you move it back under the bevel gear when you reassemble? Or is it a special one to release spring tension? Screetching is usually motor height too low.

What brand tight bore? Madbull barrels are skinnier than other brands, so a non-madbull barrel in a Madbull hop can be a very tight fit depending on the rubber. If it's a Madbull hop and barrel, then it's the hop rubber - try a Madbull rubber which should be a better fit for the barrel/hop combo!

Yeah - I wear those for CQB. I have the airsoft spec ones, but the only real difference is they don't have the foam over the airvents. No real need for dust and sand protection playing UK airsoft You might find removing the foam on yours will help reduce fogging if it occurs. Don't have any issues with mine, nice and comfy and fit well with a helmet

It was designed to fly low and fast under Russian radar to get those nukes in there before they got us ;-) Spectacular aircraft - it is a semi regular visitor over Sywell airfield near Northampton for various charity events. I managed to bunk off work one afternoon when it was flying formations with The Blades air display team and a Spitfire. Can't beat the Vulcan howl!

I used to use 450 round high caps. It was very rare that I needed to swap mags in a particulr game - I'm not really a spray and play type So 2 of those were fine for most game days, just refilling them between games. But I got annoyed by the loud rattle and the winding. Then I got some MAG metal 190 round mid caps - so 4 of those is roughly equivalent to my old 2 hicaps. All I do is top them up between games and 4 mags is still very easy to carry. For CQB days, 2 in the leg rig, plus one in the gun is all I need On longer days, I carry all 4 plus a back up hicap just in case! Never tried the pull cord ones, but I did have a 2500 round battery powered, sound activated (automatic) drum mag for a while Lots of fun, but very heavy and I didn't use it much

As already said - don't worry about it too much at the moment. The main thing is to get the face protection sorted. Then find the most comfortable way to carry the gear you need is probably the next thing. If I'm playing woodland (long) games, I'll wear camo (usually MARPAT) and a plate carrier with a hydration bladder and plenty of mags and ammo to last a whole morning. Probably some snacks too ;-) When I play CQB with shorter games I wear dark clothing - random cargo pants and a dark craghoppers type top. The shorter games mean I don't need to carry water or tons of ammo so I just wear a Chris Costa style leg rig with 2 spare mags and my pistol mags.

Stick a small screw driver into the back of the spring guide and use it to keep the spring in place while you open or close it. You might also find it useful to buy a couple of neodinium magnets off eBay - the ones that are about the size of a 2p piece. Use those behind the gearbox to help hold the gears in place while you close it

You can buy new motor connectors on eBay for pennies - they're called spade connectors. They actually just crimp on to the wire (although it's best to solder them) so no soldering required.

Is it a TM? You can remove the plastic battery tray to give yourself a bit more space. I modded an ICS ris to fit my 552 and it did give a little extra space than the plastic handguards.

A lot of sites will require a responsible adult to be with you on game day if you are under 16. You may have to persuade a parent, older brother/sister or friend of the family to play or hang around the site all day.

If you keep firing it on full auto, it'll wear out faster. Moving parts cycling and all that. I'm not sure it makes too much difference, but also firing full auto when empty means there's no bb in the chamber and less resistance for the piston. It'll thwack the front of the gearbox harder as a result. All gearboxes will crack eventually, so putting undue stress on them will only hasten it's departure!
