The 'What have you just bought' Thread

That would explain why there doesn't seem to much kit for sale, I'm prob more surprised with the lack of modularity... not a huge amount of info on it, whereas there's a ton of info about other nations kit. -
You seem to be correct...ish. adds are in the classifieds.

It's a battle belt from fleabay with molle pouches I already had for my osprey Mk4 & a generic 6 point harness/yoke in mtp https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172009321397?hash=item280c8df3b5:g:DhIAAOSwYXFjhfZ5&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAABIBe4epjEQj8uKxIa7tHOB2RWzWH%2FEwIeMcykl2VqoXZ6JD2STT9JdHfcu5GMiibmPIg5jLSe%2BtKVz76zBS37%2BJoSLWJzMX6dGOw3tdTjY6tlfLyPo0iLoC2dgU6EX9xRtsRKNOaG5iuYRmNBCwSFAd54p70GBKQPrKeGV8n67pIuP9dWu%2F1fDS7PJ3HwEfpIKXE1bOA7InCyJ8NCwCr65cI%2FjfOMrXnL1h1RwJHch631Yyku8MVBI2yR7hCHKgyemnjoCmaD223SWIqUCnDmscmyPSkiH9YRwKyP13IuCkodARU5rYR1BqdR0xSJCLT5nbmfcg154IeXCA%2Fp%2FbAEgagc4QDvqA7QtEITotdEefvVISsqjQ2rV2WSomWEcL9KGQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8iArLXaYg I often have difficulty finding kit big enough for my 55yr old 6 pack but this is a great fit & comfy. I have several sets of webbing (mainly as part of a collection), most of which need modification but this was ideal straight out of the box/packaging.

Baldy on patrol, usually wear a boonie to hide the shine & protect my bonce but misting up eyepro was annoying me.

Well I had a blast at Players of War near Falkirk, it's my local site & I'm finally getting used to the layout, not a huge turnout but more than enough to be a good day, My L85 Carbine performed well. (last time the motor screw unscrewed mid game(locktite FTW)) but I deffo felt the extra weight. My Polymer Scar-L was as reliable as ever. Took my P90 too as I've finally got enough mags to field it properly but it stayed in my gun bag all day (truth be known it's only been re-racked in the past hour or so). Tried a rotation of mid caps in one game, then hi caps in the next & pretty sure I prefer the hi caps, not so much spray & pray as in earlier game days but certainly used plenty of BB's. I'm a big unfit chap so usually prefer to creap forward until I'm in range of actually hitting some 'enemy' but noticed a lot more forward progress in my last attacking game... (must try harder in future). I have noticed I seem to lose my motivation in the 4th game in the past few game days so I'm going to focus on staying hydrated & getting shot less as the walk to & from the spawn point is doing my head in. -
Was looking at the pic for ages thinking it was wrong then read the comment on the bottom. I've seen a couple of YT video's on how to test springs & had a home made device offered via messenger, in the end I gave the hot potatoes to our local tech to sort for me.

TBH I've just bought cheap & chearful... only need to carry from my house to the car without scaring the neighbours on a Sunday morning, got sick of wrapping some pews in towels so have another couple of cheapies from fleabay on their way. I tend to take 2 or 3 pews on a game day but was taking another 4 to the local tech yesterday... leaving me with another 4 towels on the wash pile (yes pile, I think my son only brings them out of his room when he can't see the floor any more). They generally sit in the boot of my car at the local site as it's right beside the safe zone.

It did. A Sterling would be so nice. I'm sure I've seen one too.

LOL, I got one for my M16A1 but the bugger doesn't fit properly. -
Exactly why I wanted one... got an E&L AKM Essential recently, actually got 2 by mistake so taking one to POW tomorrow to see if someone wants it cheap, getting the right battery wasn't straightforward due to the sizing tho.
-
I'd have happily trebled the price.

I stand by my comment, I couldn't draw a straight line with a ruler & a sharp HB2

Got skills there.

Nice.

How broad is you H&K collection? I snapped up an XM8 for mine... it'll prob never be used in anger.

For me it's the historic 'feel', I have 1 with a solid handle because I wanted it to be an historically correct M16A1 VN with a 3 prong flash hider, 2 others have carry handles on picatinny rails, the rest are just picatinny with a combination of optics & iron sights. It's all down to personal preference tho isn't it? My prop L1A1 is obviously molded from one with wooden furniture but the carry handle was polymer (this bugs the hell out of me).

Yeah, but then you'd need... a fecking A-Team van (pic wouldn't upload) ecf4801f-c030-4fe4-a151-73f64ea25e25-resize-950x633.webp

Sorry for the Lucifer quote... Looking for inspiration, I have a small list of Rif's I would like to buy as they appear in the classifieds or at a decent price new, but most of them are variations of pews I already have. What rif, pistol, shotgun would you buy as and when the opportunity presents itself? The more unusual the better. n.b. not upgrades. my list includes, MP9 SPAS12 M60 VN Walther P38 MP5K L119A2 etc...

Does there need to be a declaration? I got a gearbox & grip from SIXmm a few weeks ago & the only problem was customs opened the package to inspect it (understandably) and managed to replace the grip with a scented candle. I'm sure there was a VAT document with the packaging but no extra fees were paid by myself.
