  1. I do. Bit like how I feel about P226 and G17… You must’ve got one of the decent ones then - from what I’ve been able to dig up, the WE model is 50/50 hit and miss.
  2. Absolutely, read it, but it is ultimately 8 years old and things can change. Also, there isn’t a whole lot of real detail by way of comparison - somebody who doesn’t own any of the different versions has just posted details from Google.
  3. I’ve always been a 226 fan, having used all three pistols the army’s issued over the last 20 years - the Browning HP was nice but a bit small, the Glock’s good but I always found it a bit boxy, the 226 was a nice chunky feeling pistol that just worked for me. So I’m looking at reliving my Herrick days and getting a new sidearm. Obviously, everybody raves about the TM and it’s 1-1, but it’s plastic and not full weight. What other decent options are there out there that fit the 1-1, metal, realistic weight criteria…?

  6. A well established and organised logistic chain to support, from organic in-house CQMS at tactical level all the way through the effort to deliver strategically - Mulberry Harbour anyone?
  7. https://www.britishtactical.com/hl-eud-panel/ British designed and made, genuine innovation. OK, maybe a little more expensive than AliExpress, but if you don’t mind spending a bit more, definitely worth it, I use one on my work rig.
  8. Remember that test well… 😂
  9. I know. Unfortunately irony/sarcasm doesn’t come over too well in print/black and white… 😂
  10. They’ve even sent you the wrong cocking lever to boot - says it’s for an A2 on the packaging…
  11. You think it’s heavy now, wait til it gets wet… 😂
  12. Tried that, not really bonded with the ShadowFoam… 😐 I’ve got carpet tape to try and then No More Nails, but that’s the nuclear option.
  13. @Jez_Armstrong how have you secured the ShadowFoam into the case so the entire layer doesn’t just fall out of under the weight of the kit? Nearly finished all my cutting and shaping and thinking about how to fix it in - double sided carpet tape, spray glue, something else…?
  14. ShadowFoam sell their stuff on Amazon pre-cut to fit cases as well, eg: https://amzn.eu/d/dEnt3cy
  15. Still a work in progress…
  16. I’ll post some photos of my case tomorrow - similar layout to @Jez_Armstrong’s - I cut a couple of slots through the base of the foam and then thread the strap through so it wraps around the underside of the foam then meets back up top and buckles/velcroes over whatever item it’s securing.
  17. From Amazon - roll of Velcro-style tape and buckles. Cut the tape to your own desired sizes. https://amzn.eu/d/asfvnpt
  18. @Jez_Armstrong sweet, cheers pal. What’s the strap set you’ve got for securing the kit?
  19. As per title really - what’s everybody using? As much as I’d like a genuine Peli, even second hand 1720 and 1750 cases are still a bit much, budget circa £100 plus or minus a few quid. Looking to line with Shadowfoam, fit 2x CQB length AR platforms with EoTechs, 6-8 mags, 1x Glock 17, 2x pistol mags and maybe room for a BFG or 2.
  20. Probably more of a want than a need (although, isn’t everything in airsoft a “need”, at least when justifying to OH…?), these nifty aluminium kit hangers from Luminae - plate carrier and Cobra buckle equipped belt nicely stored on hanging rail in the garage:
  21. O’Tom tick twister great for removing ticks - there’s always a risk of squeezing too hard with tweezers and leaving the tick’s head under the skin, leading to infection. Smidge, another top recommendation - made from natural ingredients, kind to skin and plastic toy gnus and smells nice. The benefits of 30+ years living, working and playing in the outdoors… 🙂
  22. TBF, if you look through enough reference pics, you’ll see people only wearing one, on the knee they take when shooting, but you’ll also see plenty wearing two.
  23. Nah, no significance to it being on the ankle other than convenience - straps at the right tightness to hold it in place on the knee then, when needed, easy to pull up onto the joint.
