Well I’m stupid… 😂 I didn’t even think to check normal washers 🤦‍♂️

Picked up a TWI lower handguard for my AK105 and it came with 5 of these screw holders (?), I ordered an upper handguard to match and now need another 3 - 5 of these screw holder thingamajigs, but I a) don’t know what to search and b) where to look 😅 Went through the zenitco site to see if I could find the name of said part but they don’t even have it on there.

If it’s under warranty, send it back.

Well, my AK was firing straight up into the air and way over to the left - From brand new. Hence why I decided to change the rubber for an upgraded one, and the nub too - Neither of which seems to work with the E&L hop unit lol

Have you had one fitted in an E&L at all? Curious if you had to change the nozzle out if so

Different platform. The hardest part would be the fixed carry handle upper. Real fake guns is making an A1 on a PTW, which has had extensive modification to an upper. Might be worth checking out his build for ideas?

I’m going to leave it as is for now, take it with me next month and see how it fairs. I have an omega nub ordered too just in case it’s still not great. The original set up was shooting up and to the far left, so it can’t be much worse 😂 Put a standard black nub and bucking into my fathers E&L too and all of his issues stopped, no huge variations and no “no feeds” and double/triple etc feeds. Seems E&L’s just don’t like MR buckings or XT nubs. I plan on getting one of the Begadi rotary hops eventually so I’m assuming it’ll be a case of trial and error with that one too

Yeah, using a macaron. The one I got has dots and a wave around it, the other ones I’ve had in the past have been smooth with 3 ridges. Maybe I’ve ordered the wrong rubber 🤔 I thought I had a spare omega nub but sadly I didn’t, so will get one ordered The pink/blue is what I have (But it’s yellow), and the yellow is what I’m used to getting. I assume they changed design or something?

Stuck a stock black rubber in with the xt nub, fps variations from 270 - 298 Stock black rubber and nub (From an old m4 I upgraded), 291 - 293 fps Again all on .25g BB’s

Looking closer at the nub today, it seems uneven?

Make sure your sites consider m4’s with drum mags to be “lmgs”, as my locals don’t consider them to be fit for LMG roles.

What part did you trim? Never had to do that before

I’ll get an omega nub and try it too, it’s interesting it’s having the same issue with two E&L’s though 😅

That would explain it, I reckon. I think I’ll leave it until my next game and dial it in. It can’t be any worse than it was Sunday just gone. Ideal for shooting at birds and planes though 😂

It was the “Maple Leaf Macaron Hop Rubber Bucking 60”

The compression is fine, the stock rubber was doing 0.4 variation with 25 rounds put through it to check. Putting the stock rubber in and it’s firing fine as should be, just awful range hence why we opted to get upgraded rubbers

So with a standard black nub, 146 fps average with hop in middle, 309 average with hop off, 96 average with hop fully on. So not the nub. I’m assuming the best thing to do is leave it until I get out to a game and test it at proper range? I don’t really have anywhere to test long range at all.

That’s a good idea. I’ll try the rubber with a standard nub!

Hey guys, got my maple leaf 60 degree today from ak2m4 to replace the awful one that came out of the E&L. I paired it with the XT Red omega nub as it was cheaper than the ML one. I installed it with a 6.00mm XT inner barrel. It seems to be firing fine but on the middle of the hop I’m getting 230 fps (Roughly), and 311 (Roughly) with the hop all the way on (Longest part of the ak hop adjuster as far as it’ll go forwards) on .25g BB’s. My father put the same combo in excluding barrel (He’s using the standard barrel) and he’s getting the same FPS readings with the hop fully on, however hop set anywhere middle and under and he’ll misfeed, shoot 4+ bb’s at once, or none at all. Do these rubbers need “breaking in” or is that a myth?
