  1. Trimming it runs the risk of ruining any air seal it has and for the sake of saving £6, not really worth it. Once the new parts turn up it’s bound to fix the issue. Seems to just be a nozzle issue now.
  2. The longest I have is 25mm, the closest I got to a 20.7mm was 21.03mm
  3. So as I removed the case, the tappet plate had somehow bent itself up, right around where the damage to the piston is. Air seal is all good, replaced the piston and tappet and still all good. FPS is also consistent, just low. I’m aiming for at least 0.91J on .25g
  4. Isn't Virtus still technically a restricted item? I'm also not sure how much of a seal just the visor provides, which some sites may not allow to be used as suitable eye pro. However, to answer your question the visor sits quite a way out from your face so should fit 99% of glasses frames.
  5. To be fair, it's a nasty old brass one so I'll be ordering a nice new shiny one along with the nozzle etc. I also realized when I was talking about nozzles needing different lengths for inner barrels I was actually thinking of the cylinder which I'd read on AK2M4's site. Luckily I did open it, as my piston was chewed to pieces and didn't look like it would survive much more. Lovely specna quality. Great, until it's not great. 😂
  6. After changing the cylinder the fps has stayed the same, so that leaves the dodgy hop unit and the nozzle. That’ll be the next changes to see if it helps. 0.54j on a .25g bb isn’t ideal though, that’s for sure!
  7. Update-ish: The nozzle was out of stock, using the standard specna hop still. I’ve put tape to remedy the hop wobble as seen in this video: I also didn’t realise but the cylinder has a hole in it at the back, so I’m going to replace it with a brass sealed one and see if it improves the performance. 8. Do I sell my built from the ground up WE M16A1 for a VFC M16A1, of dump the cost of a VFC into 20 round magazines and getting the WE engraved 😬

I’m drawn to how pretty the VFC looks but magazines seem to be a nightmare and WE’s just seem to work really well 👀

If the WE performs well (Both my L119's are WE based) and you are happy with it , then personaly I'd get the mags and the trades done.  I love both mine, they shoot realy well and parts if needed are easy to get. Mags too for that matter.

Yeah the VFC is hard to find mags for a good price, and even from overseas they're still nearly double the cost of the WE. I haven't fielded the GBBR yet as I've only got the 1 mag but I loved my old one so, think it's the right choice!

  9. At least it’s easier than the Perun (imho)!

    E&C G28

I’ve been longing for an Umarex g28 but the price point put me off. Hoping this will be a more reasonable price over here. Also interested if E&C will have the markings like a lot of their other replicas

Saw TaiwanGuns video on it a while ago and forgot about it, seems to be releasing this month but there’s really no info about it that I can find. Wonder if anybody else knows some more info? Apparently it’ll also be available in the 500 different shades of FDE which will be nice. https://www.taiwangun.com/sniper-rifle-aeg/ec-204-semi-automatic-sniper-rifle-black-e-c
  12. Hop rubber and nub. Cheap as chips, and worth while. Especially with specna’s as their hop units seem to always be full of grease/oil. Personally I’d go for a maple leaf 50/60 degree and an omega nub.
  13. If you want an A5, I personally really like the VFC AEG one. It shoots lovely with nothing needing to be done (To mine, at least) Alternatively if you’re not bothered by trademarks the Specna Arms A5 might be a good choice. Not had any experience with their A5 but I had their 416D with the Edge 2.0 gearbox and it was my main pew for almost a year, until sadly I lent it to a friend and it came back with a broken lower receiver 😔

  15. The same line appears at the back of the upper so yes, it’s intentional 🤣
  16. 🤦‍♂️ well I feel like a twat 🤣
  17. Yeah, that’s the spot. Sorry. Too early 😂
  18. It’s on the upper receiver, the piece where the barrel lock button is. Here’s the zoomed out image
  19. Less than two weeks and what seems like a major crack has developed on my A2, hasn’t even been fielded yet. It’s been hanging on my wall since receiving it too, it’s under the handguard which I removed yesterday, so I can only assume it’s been like it since the start?

    G&G SOC16

Aww, see, I would... But I don't like wotsits, sorry mate!
  21. I had no idea these existed... Thanks, now I want one too 😂
  22. That’ll be something to keep in mind! I’ve ordered a modify M16A1 nozzle to test, as well as a ZCI hop unit/rubber combo because it was cheap and I know they work well. Hopefully one of them should solve the issue 😂
