tan is ok... just not with vomit green. as for lipos. some people swear by them and do not see any problems using them. I prefer the easy life of nimh. doesnt die if you use them all up and less likely to catch fire. btw. nimh does not have to be fully discharged. nicd does.

I'd rather get a gun that is sprayed two tone, so you can sand it once you get your UKARA. but yea... tan + two tone does look pants.

you wont get a feel for airsoft with a cheap springer. save up for a proper AEG (G&G combat machine for example) or like already suggested, rent!

^This. If this is the general idea of the daytona gun, it is not what I mean, nor is having an AEG gearbox that uses escaped air (unless I misunderstood?) to power the blowback:

nearly happened to me aswell. some people put a tail on them... or just dont throw em into the bushes (easier said than done)! I've gotten most of my epic grenade kills by reaching thru a window or doorway and just dropping it on the floor Timed. can roll them, do long low bouncy throws, will always go off.

No, you can still possess them once your UKARA runs out, not buy new ones however. as for being stopped by the police, proof that you're a regular skimisher (UKARA) isn't a legal requirement there either.. HOWEVER, having a UKARA number very likely will make things a lot easier for you in that situation. You might also want to carry a little note with the name, address and phone number to the site that you're travelling to or from, so they can call and confirm..

I was just thinking and I came up with an idea. an AEG/GBB hybrid. could it be possible for a manufacturer to make one? I would work exactly like a GBB, only there's a gearbox providing pressured air. would be real fun, and eliminate the need for gas, some of the extra maintenance & unreliability of gas guns and be a bit more fun than just a plain AEG. If you have problem understanding what I'm saying: Imagine you stopped the nozzle in a gearbox from moving. then you take a GBB pistol, cut away the back of the handle and the part of the magazine where the gas is stored/connects with the gun. where the gas connects with the gun you stick the nozzle. probably in rifle form thou to make it all fit. (oh and if any manufacturer read this, feel free to try it. but do send me a copy of the finished product )
