  1. This. To me a good measure of how well a site is run is how they act when things go wrong. The fact that the staff did fuck all to address any of the problems they were told about, and a lack of any real response to the review by the owners make me think once they've gotten your money they stop giving a shit
  2. ⁸Umm. Freshly signed up and their only post is to claim a negative review posted by a known and respected forum member is bullshit. I think I'll take what they post with a massive pinch of salt. I think this should be enough While vandalism of a site is never good it's no excuse for a poorly run site, hell my go to site has suffered from vandalism repeatedly (even worse is that it appears to be done by another nearby site) and they're still able to run a decent gameday.
  3. Thanks. Mine is this one with the valve in the end of the grip. If it's just a case of drilling a larger hole that won't be a problem @The_Lord_Poncho not yet, I've had to put it on hold till next month as I've had some stuff come up but I will update here when it gets done
  4. I've had some pistols with barrel extensions and I never used them as they ruined accuracy. I don't know if them being GBB rather than AEGs makes any difference but I guess not
  5. Then they can fuck right off
  6. I looked into it for my well mp7. From what I read it's alot of work for little if any gains so not really worth it
  7. Gas rifles are expensive to get set up, with mags costing from around £40 to £50 a pop and only holding up to 50 bbs you'd need a few. Also with GBB guns you need to be far more proactive with maintenance. However they more than make up for this by being more fun. This lower capacity mags means you've got to pick your shots rather than dump rounds into every bush that moves so hits are far more satisfying. As @pyromancer6posted GBB pistols are a great way of getting into gas guns. They're also extremely useful in cqb or thick bushes at woodland sites where their small size is an advantage when moving through tight spaces.
  8. I've owned a few cyma guns over the years and the internals have all been great. Unfortunately the plastic bodies of the cheaper models can be a bit crap though but the platinum range are good.
  9. Welcome to the money pit that is airsoft? Nice to see someone going with something different to an M4. There's a reason they're called the airsoft clitoris (I'll let you work that one out) AK mags are easily available and some are metal if you're worried about plastic mags breaking. Are you wanting a rif with a metal or plastic body? Bear in mind that some of the better plastic bodies can be just as strong as the cheaper pot metal ones. Cyma make some good value AKs. If you want to spend a bit more I've heard good things about LCT guns (never owned one though). E&L guns are also not bad
  10. I'm getting fed up with only getting a couple of shells worth of shots from the tiny gas tank before needing a refill. Being pump action I don't think I'll be getting wanker gun rof, maybe if I was 14 again?
  11. I'd say that goes for all sites
  12. So I've decided to dip my toes into HPA by converting my sawn off. From looking on google I need an adapter for the valve like this https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/products/jag-arms-scatter-gun-secutor?variant=48820107542852 Obviously I also need a tank, line and regulator so I'm thinking this package from high pressure airsoft. https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/collections/package-deals/products/26ci-tank-line-and-regulator-package-bundle Is there anything I'm missing, or am I good with these? Thanks, all help is appreciated
  13. While at the gym yesterday I found a hole in my trainer big enough to put my finger in. To cut a long story short, she complained and now I'm banned for life
  14. I find both of them a refreshing change to many of the other firearms channels where they're like a kid with ADHD who's swapped their ritalin for a redbull
  15. Johnathan Ferguson at the Royal Armouries does good content too
  16. Nice. Have you been watching Gun Jesus on Forgotten Weapons?
  17. Over killing and prefiring are exactly the sort of thing I mean. I takes bugger all skill to just finger bang a hair trigger and spray shots everywhere than it does to take aimed shots and is guaranteed to piss people off. True, but in my experience it's more likely that the guy with the day glow hi cappa adapted to take M4 mags that'll be the problem Unfortunately the kind of person who's going to break site rules on spamming the trigger etc is also less likely to call a hit it it means a long walk to or wait at their respawn
  18. You're right that the number of speedsofters will vary from site to site, it must be that the ones I attend don't have very many. Would I be right thinking these tournaments are closer to paintball tournaments where things like pre firing are allowed? If so problems are going to arise when these tactics are used on a regular skirmish. For a normal skirmish I actually agree with you there, ban the arsehole not the kit as they're the problem.
  19. Are they though? In my experience speedsofters are a minority, I'd even say that their numbers are greater at woodland sites. Also many sites have banned speedsoft as a playing style and are still going strong. I do agree that not all speedsofters are arseholes, it just seems that arseholes are attracted to the speedsoft playing style.
  20. One thing I've noticed more cqb sites doing is restricting the number of pyros people can carry. As much as I like tossing bangs around I like this rule as it stops games turning into a game of who can afford the most pyros

    Pyro

Unless you're buying in bulk I find the extra postage costs don't make it any cheaper than buying on site
  22. I'm not sure I'd class him as a shop in the traditional sense, more like he's buying guns on the cheap to sell for a exorbitant price. As for them being new, I'll take that with a big pinch of salt.
  23. Multiple access routes. Games turning a stalemate because nobody can move forward and there's no way of flanking or taking alternative routes get boring fast, especially if that choke point means one person can keep an entire team pinned in one spot
  24. Oops, my mistake
