  1. Nothing fancy, just new desert dpm trousers and multicam black top for cqb. It looks like getting unissued DDPM is starting to get harder, but it has been out of service for about 15 years now so I shouldn't be too surprised
  2. Imperial War Museum is always worth a visit, free entry too (some special exhibits may have a fee). Also there's the RAF Museum at Hendon
  3. "only been shot a few times" The state of the mag says otherwise
  4. They certainly are a bit on the warm side. I've got one of the carbines and I've had it chrono at over 2.4j using green gas in the middle of winter
  5. Never heard of them but a quick Google search shows quite a lot of negative reviews, not just for the time taken but for the quality of their work and customer service too. All in all I'd go elsewhere
  6. Posted in the ad they want what they paid for it, which was still a rip off. Although I think this one is more down to naivety than deliberately trying to take the piss
  7. Second hand this is probably worth more like £30
  8. I think that boneyard items are sold with the expectation the buyer knows they're potentially broken/faulty already and accepts this risk
  9. While I agree with the logic behind this, I don't get to play as often as I'd like due to other things taking priority so I'd rather spend my limited time and money going to games I know I'll enjoy rather than paying to spend a weekend wet, miserable and bored Filmsim sounds like a good balance between the two
  10. I should probably add that I've never used one for a milsim, just camping, but the first time it did use it I probably had the best night sleep I'd had when camping ever. The trick is to lay on it diagonally so you get a horizontal sleeping position
  11. Imo the best way to insulate yourself from the ground is to get up off it. If you're putting up a basha between trees then hang a hammock underneath it. They're relatively cheap, lightweight and more compact than a kip mat
  12. All not helped by the council pedestrianising so much of the city centre making any journey 4 times longer as you're stuck in traffic driving round in circles
  13. The overall size isn't too much of a concern to me as I've been to some very well run sites that are small, for example Invicta's Black Site. Also it means a shorter walk to respawn. I agree that the mezzanine bit could cause some problems though. I grew up just outside Cambridge and I know what you mean, especially as it's only gotten worse. People who say London isn't car friendly obviously have never tried to drive through Cambridge
  14. What makes it worse is that it looks like the sort of thing I would've had aged 8
  15. Like we should expect anything else
  16. The cast of X Men showing why you should choose your words carefully when talking about airsoft
  17. I found it was always worth having a look at warzones as you'll often find something different to all the people going on holiday. Early on in the Ukraine war I would often see Reaper drones or Poseidon surveillance aircraft flying over the Black Sea. There was also this last year which unfortunately I missed https://theaviationist.com/2023/11/22/usaf-ac-130j-iraq/
  18. The nearest airsoft shop to me is only 5 miles away but I won't shop there as the owner is a complete bellend
  19. Midweek games interest me because my shift pattern means I don't get that many weekends off and when I do half the time I've just finished a night shift
  20. As I've posted before it never ceases to amaze me how so many airsofters are happy to be bent over and shafted by shops with terrible customer service
  21. Good to hear. I get the feeling they were trying to fob you off with a load of bullshit in the hope you don't know consumer law. It makes me wonder how many other people have fallen for their lies and just paid up
  22. Only when cleaning handguns as I strip them down for cleaning anyway. Everything else except the M4 stays in one piece as it's the only AEG I've got where I don't have to spend ages taking it apart and putting it back together. Even more so than ethyl alcohol found in booze* *Please don't drink isopropyl alcohol, there's a high chance it'll make you take a forever nap
  23. My local asda has been reducing it's range of beer and cider so I've been getting some really good deals as they clear excess stock (eg bottles of Trooper for 68p) so I'm hoping they're going to do the same with spirits. Not sure my liver will be too pleased though
  24. Agreed. The few times I visited their sites I never had any issues. A quick look on Google maps shows it's in the middle of an industrial estate so no neighbours to complain too. The other part which piqued my interest was that they're going to be allowed to open till 10pm so I wonder (more like hope) if they'll be running mid week games in the evenings
