I have a Ford Transit for work and a Mitsubishi Shogun as my runaround motor. Either are handy for my leisure activities
-
Same. I'm absolutely useless at woodland and always end up getting mullered. Truth be told I'm not the best at urban/cqb either but I have fun 🤪
-
That's not been my experience but certainly likely.

Late October, and yeah, it's that Gaol... only time I've been. 3 and a half hour drive and totally worth it. I have a gilet for when it's cold lol
-
So this is my current loadout. Not going for any particular look, just what I've learned over the years is what I'm most comfortable playing in. I have a chest rig with m4 mag pouches, a battle belt with pistol mag pouches and some more m4 pouches. A dump pouch and a safariland for my TM Glock18. Main pew is an MWS, though I've accessorised it a bit more since this photo

It's just a question of making it worth their while. If it's a car full, maybe offer to hold your sale at the end of the day so as to not disrupt the play. I've found that "making it worth their while" can amount to nothing more than h̶a̶n̶d̶j̶o̶b̶s̶ giving owners and marshals first dibs on the best gear.
-
I'm a big believer in the idea of voting with your feet. If you don't like how a site is run, and the kind of shenanigans the marshals let slide, then don't go. If it's really that bad, then attendance might become low enough that either the site bucks up its ideas or becomes financially non viable. A third outcome is that it will become a site totally frequented by arseholse and every gameday becomes a circle jerk of fuckwittery.
-
What I've done in the past when I've had a surfeit of kit is take it along to a site during a game day and put it up for sale at the desk/counter/stack of pallets etc. Work out with the site owners what percentage of sales they get as their fee and everyone is happy. Done this a few times at different sites over the years. Just be sure you OK it beforehand.

This pretty much sums up what I was going to say. And I've been on both sides of the fence. About 10 years ago I ran a rif with a crazy ROF, can't remember what but way more than 35. Now I have a GBBR and whatever ROF I can achieve in semi. thing is, unless an action is explicitly prohibited at a site, like running ROF beasts, then people will do it, for a large variety of reasons. I'm never in favour of clamping down on stuff like this, it's just a hobby. If that's what some people like to do, so be it. Adapt and overcome.

That's a top tier missus you have. I had the same RIF as my primary for about 2 years. Stonking fun

Has anyone noticed Covid spikes after gatherings
MAX DICKER replied to AirSniper's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
To clarify, I meant we've been lucky compared to other countries that have suffered worse government stamp downs on freedoms. Now don't get me wrong, I agree that mortality rate from covid can be brought down with extreme measures. For example; a full shut down of the country with martial law enforced lockdown. Mandatory vaccinations for everyone etc.... Is this a world you'd like to live in? Or maybe you're comfortable with the Mandatory vaccinations but not the martial law? For me, personally, I believe everyone should be able to choose their own response. If you want a vaccine, go for it. If you want to go out in public wearing ppe, that's fine. If you want to lock yourself in your home for the rest of your life for fear of catching the sniffles, knock yourself out. Freedom isn't free. And the only things that will survive the heat death of the universe are "temporary government powers". -

MAX DICKER replied to AirSniper's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Personally, I don't believe the dangers of covid have ever been enough to justify all the draconian measures and curbs on liberty that we have seen, and we have been comparatively lucky in Britain. Frankly, what's more frightening to me is how quickly our freedoms can be taken away by our elected public servants. I think people who are more afraid of covid than the government are deluded. -
I love the idea of having something really nice for my wrist but couldn't really justify it. Especially as I work in construction, rock climb and airsoft. I'm not prepared to drop searios pew money on something to wear around the house ☹️ As it stands, I have this G-Shock. It takes a battering and has a step counter.

Original PTS Masada. 100% stock. Perfect working order, very consistent FPS (.20g). Reluctant sale due to needing the space and having frankly spent way too much on my MWS. Bundling it with my turingy Accucell 6. Masada has deans connector and comes with a 7.4v 1300mah LiPo. Aesthetically the Masada is in great condition with appropriate level of natural age related wear. Asking price includes post and packing. *EDIT* Just noticed the screw to fix the MBUS to the rail is missing, knocking £10 off the price to reflect this.£240

This, I believe. No idea what the cost of registering with hmrc is but surely its not more than the potential loss in sales? And even though the £135 figure is set by HMRC and not the retailer, I still think its arbitrary. Clearly I don't know the full machinations of international goods and services, but I don't have to; if a retailer doesn't want the expense/bother of being able to sell below a certain price point, they lose out. People will spend their money elsewhere.

I have 5 leak free magazines for sale. All in great condition. I have only had my MWS for 12 months. And due to lockdowns. Have only been able to skirmish 6 times with it. As such, these mags have had relatively little use. Perfect working order, minor cosmetic wear visible. I'm selling these for £40 each Inc. P&P by royal mail 1st class signed. If you're feeling spicy, I'll do all 5 for £185, this includes postage and packaging via Royal Mail special delivery. Offers won't be considered.£185

"Due to the Brexit we have chosen to temporarily implement a minimum order amount of £ 135 excluding VAT in our webshop." Yeah, no. Sure they're legit but there are other retailers who don't have arbitrary minimum spends.

Wow, so I thought I'd wade in. I used to collect, paint and play 40k back in the early 90's... then, like has already been mentioned.... girls!!! But recently I've started listening to the various black library audio books which has spurred me to getting back into painting. Yeah they're expensive, but honestly... I don't think the hobby is any more or less affordable than in 1994. I can't speak for what people have said regarding GW not allowing old models in tourneys so as to sell newer stuff. Sounds kinda dickish. I do love the 40k universe and models and really enjoy painting. Doubt I'll ever play though.

First up, last time I used this was probably 3 or 4 years ago and it worked. Now for the nitty gritty. This started life as a stock Breacher. I put a full stock on it which gives it much more gas capacity whilst still being great for CQB. I've sanded down the receiver and trigger. I've lost the shell ejector cover. I've cut down and installed a Magpul M-Lok grip. Stock butt has been lost. All 3 gas cartridges leak, though could probably be revived. Be aware that I've taken this apart a few times and as such, the magical marui pixies have flown out. No idea what this is worth. Its been a fantastic gun and I think it looks great. I'm sure it works, though as the tanks leak I'm unable to test. So have to sell on the basis that its not currently working. Looking for realistic offers. No trades considered as I need less stuff, not more.£160

Used them for the first time this month as UBR's are like rocking horse poop. Fast service. I have bookmarked the site for future use. Just be prepared for the shakedown when the crooks at customs hold your stuff for ransom.
