    No. Although now you're reminded me that the Ashbury is also licensed by ASG and is based on a rifle of .338 calibre, I'm unsure whether it's actually even for the AW or the Ashbury...

    That ASG kit looks like a nice find, might see if my regular site can get one in for me. Shame it only comes with an M130 though, how useless is that? The rifle's almost at 425 fps from the box.

      Good vid, nice quality, didn't have any problem with your nose but the peaking to the left of the standing tubes you just get the plastic. I like the idea of the angle but what about the middle of the front of your helmet, ie between the eyes?

      The shape/size of the camera would mean I had to have it right on the top of my head which I think would be too far out of the way to see anything that well.

       

      Plus, it puts the camera at more risk of being shot, which I try to avoid.

       

      Looking around left hand corners is always going to be an issue, but it's better now than it was.

      Fair enough, didn't know what camera. Its a pretty unique angle, I do think its good for the majority of that vid.

    It was a screw up on my terminology about the trigger sear, I got it mixed up with the piston sear. I edited my last post to display the correct info.

    Beat my kill streak record yesterday, 13 hits before someone finally got me. Got 20+ kills in the game overall, was hit twice, accused of cheating once and even got a few of the kills with my pistol and BFG. The video will be up either late tonight or at some point tomorrow!

    L85's piston has died :( Replacement is £8 plus the piston 'slice' or final tooth, which is a tenner <_< Or should I just buy another loada gearbox upgrades...?

      Since your GB is apart, it won't hurt for a little TLC would it :) Replace anything that's worn, no need to go "f*ck it, i'll replace it for the sake of it with the most expensive parts evar"

    I was thinking of entering that AI thing, the post about it on their website that they linked on Facebook was posted in 2011, so I don't think there's a deadline. Which is good news, because there are still a few minor things I'd like to add to my loadout. I can't think of anything worse than being captured in a magazine showing off my loadout when it's not done. No one else would know, but it'd eat away at me lol.

    You could get the Raven cylinder and get a new spring and piston for it, but the Raven cylinder is about £100 and the only part of the set I'd want would be the cylinder and the cylinder head, the spring, piston and guide it come with would be dead to me, so spending so much for 2 out of a 5 part set just seems stupid. I thought I'd made that relatively clear in my last comment. I have a twist barrel cut for an L96 which fit fine and worked as it should. So any other L96 cut barrel ought to also fit. Unless the person you were talking to on the sniper forums owns the gun and has tried fitting the barrel they're on about, I think it stands to reason that they're not a good source of info. The notches on the barrel are for the hop rubber, they don't lock into the barrel in anyway. The Hop grabs the barrel and then the hop unit grabs the rubber. They're the only retention pieces acting on the inner barrel. Things I know are VSR compatible have been listed above in past comments; Piston Spring Spring guide Piston sear Hop rubber Hop arm Everything else (trigger unit, trigger sear, spring guide stopper, the actual hop unit itself) with the exception of the PDI cylinder set, either has no alternatives available, or in the case of the barrel, is TM L96 compatible.

    Once Ares specific parts are made. Sorry, ought to have specified. Coming from a sniper forum I'd have thought you'd know more than me though tbh! This is my first spring rifle as well. The trigger unit especially is beyond help at the moment. I've shelved mine because if the trigger packs in it's game over.

    The barrel is an standard L96 cut, so there's no need to get the PDI 6.05 Ares specific one. I was going to get the 6.01 version but it was out of stock. I've no idea what the stock barrel diameter is, I have a VSR compatible piston and spring guide fitted from ASPUK and the accuracy did go up as a result. No other changes though. The Raven cylinder set is intended for 350fps set ups, which is a useless fps to have a sniper set to, so I'd give that a miss. Though bar the spring and related internal parts, the cylinder and cylinder head are probably better quality than the stock ones. I just don't think it's worth the price just for those components. I'm planning on replacing everything, barrel, hop, cylinder head, cylinder, spring, piston, spring guide, trigger components/whole trigger. All to the highest spec possible. At the minute it's looking like getting the actual Ares parts might be the best way forward though. I just can't find anywhere in the universe that sells them.

      It's in the description, it's the VTG, which has (supposedly) a 3.5 second fuse/timer/delay.

       

      It was £95 + blanks + smiley face trolly token.

    Really enjoying it so far, aside from the real steel scaling issues stopping it from fitting with holsters and rail accessories... Performs really nice, it's got ridiculous range on it, even with .30s, and it's fairly accurate to boot. I'll be skirmishing it for the first time on Sunday, might do a couple of pistol only rounds and see how I get on. I'm hoping to get some decent footage whilst using it, so keep an eye out for status updates as I'll be posting any videos I upload to YouTube in there.

    WE Glock 17 /w some cheapo tac light that's actually surprisingly good. It'd be the most perfect pistol ever if it was actually the right size, fitting that light on it was a right bastard. Don't even get me started on fitting it into a Serpa...

    Glock tac light arrived, 3 days ahead of when it was meant to, which is excellent news. For 200 lumens it doesn't half scorch your retinas...

      Ebay it was only about £8. Though it came to about £20 with shipping from Singapore.

       

      Actually having a bit of an issue with it, it's supposed to be quick detach, but because WE make everything slightly bigger than the real steel, I've had to grind a bit of the rail away for it to actually fit. So it looks a bit mucky now =[
