I liked that food is included in the walk on price and I liked the games. The only things I didn't like were the lack of any proper time set aside for reloading, they would just give the brief in a big open zone away from people's gear, meaning you had to either miss the brief, or rearm during game time, which was shit; and the fact there's no proper place to sort your kit out, you just have to work in, around or out of your car. Which with a group of 5 people and 3 cars, was quit...

That character limit appears to be the bane of your life? I went earlier in the year to what was my first time, and I thought it was excellent. Interesting to see how someone who has been to several other sites viewed it. I completely agree on the vanishing act, I think we were touching 100 players the day I went and it felt like a ghost town at times...Until you got shot...from literally nowhere!

  2. Anyone at Anzio this Saturday?

  3. I tried the top down mod already and it readjust itself just as easily as the regular hop. It's one piece of plastic away from being top down nodded anyway. I twisted the rubber to one side too, and I actually cut a small trough into the rubber where it used to be, so it's definitely not the inside f the hop bucking. I don't think the patch is wide enough for me tone able to sand that much of the inside edge away. I don't have the rightsand paper either, or any way of holding it that'd let me sand it accurately enough to do it right anyway. Main priority is getting the feeding mech to behave, 'cos that's the one I have to sort if it's ever going to be remotely skirmishable.
  4. I sanded it down on the top side, but I didn't want to sand the inside edge down because I assumed it was important to keep it as it came, since that's the part that effects the BB. The Rhop patches I have are hard as fuck, so they protrude into the barrel flat and evenly anyway. Though I have sanded the biro tube flat on one side anyway, so it's a pretty even surface.
  5. I removed the bump from the bucking yeah. I think the issue with it was that none of the patches properly matched the barrel, so I couldn't stop it from sitting flush. BBs wouldn't just roll through I'd have to force them to get them past the patch. If I try it again I'll get a different set of patches and a new barrel.
  6. It's adjusted with a top grub down screw that pushes directly onto the hop arm. I used a biro nub and a red bucking I had lying around, not sure of the make.
  7. It's soft. The hop unit also has a tendency to adjust itself without me touching it, so I actually didn't end up skirmishing it I've not tried R Hop again yet, but I may do at some point.
  8. I know, if it'd been a more serious game I would've accepted a 50/50 rule and died as well, but since it was just a doss about game at the end of the day and I have it on film that I shot first, I thought I could wing it and get away with it. The game was labelled as a "Zombie game" where the attackers were zombies and the defenders were survivors, so as the attackers took out the defenders, the defenders would swap sides. So given that I only had one life and he had infinite, I thought he'd give me the benefit of the doubt. When I talk to him at the end he seemed to accept it, and call it fair enough. He didn't have a paddy fit or anything and everyone on site who plays there regularly does know me, so I think I managed to get through it alright without upsetting anyone too much.
  9. Last video from the weekend. My next videos will probably be up in around a fortnight after my trip to Anzio.
  10. The ones linked are quite clearly AK74 magazines, and it's AK74 mags which are usually plastic - that's my point. But it says they're in a metal housing.
  11. It says they're metal, but I don't think I've ever come across an AK 74 mag of that kind, that wasn't made of plastic. Also, I'm not so sure Galils can take AK magazines.
  12. Haha, actually genuinely enjoyed reading that, your writing style and thought processes remind me of my own
  13. Next video's up. Glocking it up in the fort:
  14. 2nd video from yesterday - Glock against the clock:

  16. Right, finally got back out there and made some more videos. Here's the first one from yesterday, back at Skirmish Airsoft, the highlight of the game using my L129: Next video ought to be up fairly soon, but I'll share it here once it's live as well.
  17. Is the M4 two tone? 'Cos if it is, it actually looks rather Canadian-ish.
  18. First airsoft video in 4 weeks! Got another on the way soon too, so keep an eye out! I'll be updating my thread in the "Media" portion of the "Off topic" forums, so come and have a gander. It's L129 time:

  22. Why do so many people feel the need to mount those Aimpoint raised, angle mounts, backwards? =/ So annoying.

Should have the angle facing forward, kind of like an SPR mount.

It's like they feel turning the mount around will allow them to get their eye closer to it... Which is just unnecessary.

It looks bloody stupid as well.

Because people dont realise that having an aimpoint further forward is more beneficial than having it close most likely.

  23. Anyone going to be at Anzio on the 3rd August? I shall be making my first ever trip over. I have incredibly high hopes, so I hope none of my gear randomly explodes whilst I'm playing at my regular site tomorrow...

it's a good site mate but if i am honest not worth the money F&O make you for it.

£35 for a day doesn't seem too bad tbh, The Stan was the same for non-members and that was nothing close to the size of Anzio and I still thought for the action you got it was good value for money. The Asylum in Kidderminster was the same price too I think, really enjoyed that trip.

Though I guess when you consider it's £15 more than my usual day's woodland skirmishing, it is quite an extreme price hike... It's definitely not something I'd be able to...

    4. Qlimax

      Qlimax

well it used to be £30 to play their but they put the price up as from what i have heard they are loosing it soon so rinsing every penny they can get out of the place
