You could send it back to the shop for refund/repair

Out of curiosity, what is the range of the MP7.
It's not like I am going to buy one, but just in case I decided I needed just one more RIF.

All Green Gas has lubricant in it, thats what makes it Green Gas, otherwise its just Propane. Its also pretty vital to keep the seals on your mags good or they will leak. Even running pure Propane you need to add your own lubricant
On top of that, pure propane stinks whilst green gas has no decernable odour

Nice one. Never thought of using one of these. Used to have something similar for an old fishing rods I had.
As for the barre kit, its the same old story. Other people had better ideas in what I should be spending my money on. Still, I might pick one up at some point.

McSpoons, I noticed on some of your pics, you have some sort of easy adjustment arm on your visioning. What you using and where did you get it from?
I'm after one for mine as its a pian to adjust the zoom on the fly with taking my eye off scope as its really tight.

You should only own an Aeg as a back up to your gbb.
Gbbs are the best fun, so much more emersive than an aeg. Sure they cost (alot) more to get going but it's worth it. Once you have spurged out on the gun, you will then need gas and decent heavy bbs which will add to your running costs. But again, it's worth it.
You get proper feed back when you fire your weapon and stoppages that you might need to clear like to might with a real rifle. It's so much more fun than hearing a little motor cranking a piston back.
Again, you will have to strip them and clean them just like a real rifle and this is all part of the fantastic experience of owning one.
Yeh you will be out gunned by someone with a 1500 bb box mag on full auto, but those guys are just sad losers, your 30 bbs are worth a million of his spam fired plastic.
As for guns, I have the we G39c, kwa mp9 and the vfc 416a5. They are all good guns. Reasonably accurate and decent ranges
The G39 is a cheap reliable weapon but mine shoots ridiculously hot in the summer (over 400fps) so you need an npas and different power gasses to run it all year. The mags are also really chunky so I had to buy over sized G36 mag pouches.
The mp9 is great for cqb but can again run hot with the standard bolt that comes with it. I swapped mine for the separate cqb bolt you can buy to keep it under 350fps
The 416a5 is a work of art. Built in npas and a stupidly easy hop adjuster.
If you are unsure, if you see someone using a gbb next time you play, ask very nicely for a go. I like to let people have shoot of mine and everyone who does are surprised at the difference and mumbles something about selling a kidney.

thankyou for all the replies
currently a stock G&G MP5 SD5 top tech EBB. chronoed at constant 340.
been using .25g
thanks
Have you tried 0.28s in it?
I have the A4 version of the G&G that you have and it holds it's own in a woodland game using the slightly heavier bb.

I ordered the pin and a spare hop rubber from KIC They replied they're very busy at the moment so they might delay a little. Still, I'm very grateful to find a site that can supply the VFC pin rather than trusting another will fit!
Let me know about the hop rubber, im pefectly happy with how my gun is shooting sp will keep it stock for now

I finally got round to fixing my leaking mag with the gaskets I bought and voila, no more leaking mag.
I got a night game coming up next week so an extra mag means less mucking around in the dark.

It cost me $15 USD, the postage was $6.89 but it was litterally two bits of very light rubber.

I cant remember off the top of my head, but it did look nice.
That was in a random hobbby shop in Osaka, they had a very long wall full of guns and racks and racks of upgrade parts.
The exchange rate is very good at the moment and you could pick a bargin, especially if you get it tax free. I got a load of good quality fishing gear and saved myself a few quid.

Good luck!
Where did you get them from?
I go them from https://kicbbgun.com.tw/en/index.php
They have loads of VFC parts so if you need something, they might have it.

Apropos of nothing, but my child-like excitability... I watched Guy Ritchie's "The Covenant" on Amazon last night. Pretty decent film - a slightly low-budget-y "Lone Survivor" meets "The Killing Fields" kinda thang.
The thing that got me hitting the pause button a couple of times was the fact that most of the Yank troops were noticeably rocking HK416 A5's through most of the film. Given the recent chat of Mr Ritchgie's disavowal of using real-steel on his sets from now on, the faked gun flashes, and absence of slow-mo brass flying around (maybe they CGI'd the brass, I can't say I noticed any), it got me thinking "he actually really is using my gun" as I don't think there's an obvious A5 GBBR other than the VFC...?Simple pleasures for simple minds...
My missus watches SWAT (it's awful). I think they use VFC airsoft guns as they all look very realistic. Although they are pretty good at disguising the weapons as reals ones, you can tell they are not shooting blank firers during the actions scenes.

They look alright

I am off to Japan in a few weeks and will have a few days in Osaka.
I am planning on buying a load of swanky fishing gear when I am over there, as they love fishing over there. However, my hotel in Osaka looks to be a 10 min walk from Gurkha and a few other shops so I will take a look when there. I doubt I will be buying any rifs, but I might try and pick up something Japanesey to show off when I get back home.

I have a CM040 and can confirm that it is a solid gun that you can use straight out of the box.
I run mine on 7.4v lipos and it is reasonably snappy.
I use mid cap mags which you can find dirt cheap at various airsoft dealers.

Yeh, the G36 runs crazy hot and is a difficult beast to tame. I use an ra-tech NPAS and nuprol 1.0 gas (in a white can) to get mine under 350fps.
Even then, when its very warm, it can still shoot over 350fps.
However, when you can get it running it's a great gun to play with.

I have a made a bit of a boo-boo. Given this is some minor league tech'ing, it's amazing how easily I've managed to bugger it up - I now need some help, please!
I was intent on trying to tighten my stock nut, but I thought I'd also straighten the little spring under the sling plate at the same time. So I loosened off the nut, and fixed the spring. Great stuff.
The problem is I've loosened off the buffer tube and it won't screw in. It also won't unscrew completely off.I can't fully cock the gun, because the tube is almost off.
And I can't pull the trigger to release the bolt from it's partial cocking.
Most worryingly of all I now can't open the upper receiver because of the bolt / recoil buffer position, so my options to 'get to things' is now enormously limited.
I basically seem to have tied the thing into a Gordian knot of interlocking bits that are in the wrong position. How do I sort it?Edit: Well thankfully the buffer tube has unscrewed, it was very 'sticky' at certain points in the rotation, but a bit of extra force got it all the way undone. So the recoil buffer and spring are now out, but the bolt carrier(?) won't go all the way in to let me open the upper receiver. I think I can figure that bit out now, hopefully!
Edit2: Now I've managed to get the buffer screwed back into place, but I've stupidly pushed the sprung pin from the receiver down, so the tube could screw in. But should that still be up, to retain the buffer and spring? The tube is now screwed in too far to close the receiver, and it won't budge either way beyond a few degrees of rotation. I think the tip of the pin broke against the thread, and it's now wedging it
(pic below was taken from a disassembly video I should've watched first - it shows the pin in its normal location)
I guess that particular part isn't crucial and I don't think I have much choice but to brute force the tube to unwind a couple of turns, so the whole thing will re-assemble. Is there a better approach?
Edit3: :Phew: All back together and working again. The pin that retains the recoil buffer wasn't broken. I pushed the pin holder (which I could still get to) down a bit more and that allowed me to unscrew the tube. I had a concern that the receiver still wouldn't close, but backing the tube out one more turn from its apparent natural / best location (where the pin fitted directly into a relief notch) did the trick.
I have learned how the springs, pins and tubes all work together, but I think I'll leave well alone for the moment. And I'll leave this post as a testimony to how even a stock tube has enough components to trip up an idiot ;DHere's a link to the video that I got the pic from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BautCSmpOmk
You need to stop touching stuff.

Played on Sunday just gone. I had six mags on me, all leak free. That is until I topped one mag up, then I could hear it starting to leak!
Still I had a great day and was just about able to compete with the AEG guys with my five working mags.
I decided for the final game to give my CYMA AK47 AEG a run out as we usually finish off with a very quick capture the village style game. My AK is a good gun but it really felt like a toy compared to the 416 as the lack of recoil really stood out after a day on the GBB.

The only thing mine came with was a metal kill flash and the flip up scope covers. The mount was a £20 job from Amazon.
The other thing I forgot to mention is that adjusting the zoom can be a pain so a throw lever is a good idea. Again you can get them cheap from ebay.
