Mag still sat at Castle Donnington. 20 minutes on the phone this morning finally got me talking a person in some call centre somewhere. Aparantly there is outstanding customs paperwork, Since I've had bits from WGC before with no issues I'm convinced this is the usual 'merican carrier with something vaguely gun like situation. When I asked why ups hadn't notified me of the issue and pointed out that my wife had now used 2 days leave waiting in for a scheduled delivery, and that if they had notified me that Friday's delivery wasn't going to happen she could have saved a day. Told me it's not their resposibility then hung up on me . I've emailed WGC to get them to deal with ups
-
Still no delivery, ups at their usual excellent best ?
-
Aaand now thay have decided to deliver it tomorrow, of course no idea of an actual time slot so I can arrange for someone to be in. ups are a total shower of shit I'm staggered that such an unprofessional company is still in business. And their virtual assistant doesn't understand the phrase 'go fuck yourself'
-
I might, aparantly it's in the country. Due today according to ups, but since ups are the most useless , unprofessional delivery company on the planet , I'm not holding my breath !?

Pews are in a metal cabinate, BBs , grenades and batteries are in ammo boxes on top , gas also on top in a normal box. Shelf in the top of the cabinate holds radio's spare optics and the box mags for LMGs and side arms. Mags and spare parts etc are in a couple of sets of metal draws stacked vertically next to the cabinate. Tac vest on a hanger on the wall . Those are in the garage, BDUs are in my wardrobe folded up, one draw takes care of socks, belts, patches , gloves etc.

That's the CO2 mag ordered . Going to be interesting to see how that performs, should be good for winter games ?
-
Thanks for the link, that's in the basket ready ?
-
Bugger , I'll have to go and grab one of those now ! I enjoy the mag changes with the cassette mags. Adds to the imersion for me, which is why I usually run GBBRs
-
I think most of us are running them as straight GBB rather than hpa . I have an hpa kit sat in a box for mine on the off chance I find a tank that will fit in a box mag, would still be using the GBB mags for the BBs though.

It can happen

Let's face it, all politicians are self serving cunts, the mere desire to do the job should automatically disqualify someone from doing so. Whoever gets in will do whatever they think will get them more votes so they can spend longer on the gravy train. Fortunatly the UK airsoft scene provides lots of jobs and some decent tax revenue , which are good arguments for not fucking about with it.

As 1st commando said, wouldn't be easy given that there is no 'semi' built in, and why ?
-
Like you say, strip it clean it and relube. Personally I'd replace the hop rubber as a matter of course after that long stored. Mine both run Maple leaf rubbers and Omega nubs . Mags may well need some work on seals after that long too, see if they hold gas and go from there.
-
My go to for barrels are the Maple leaf crazy jets, used them in several GBBR's and most of my pistols. Also use M/L rubber along with their Omega nub .
-
I think from memory it was a TNT hop unit, probably a couple of years since we fitted it . Have to say it made a definite difference to performance. Mags wise , I tend to take 5 mags out for a game with my GBBR's and a speed loader for a quick top up in quiet moments. I ususally get 2and a bit BB fills to a gas fill so I dont bother taking extra gas with me.

I always keep some WE valves in my spares stash. Usually just add a couple to an order if I need anything from KY airsoft

On the RAtech front, I've got an RA tech trigger box in one of my L119's , only fitted it because I had it handy and wanted to try it. The original was still going strong and is now in my spares draw. However one that i fitted to a mate's was bloody awefull. I ended up using the RA tech trigger parts in the stock WE trigger box Interestingly I've not had a single part failure across any of my WE GBBRs and the L119's in particular get alot of use. They are my usual guns at a game day, i rarely run aeg's now, even in winter I still usually run GBBR's . Mate's L119 needed part of the trigger mech replacing due to someone trying to force it safe while not cocked, so user error rather than failure in normal use. If something does break, I'll replace with another stock part The same same mate has the Scar H, it's been very reliable, but we did swap out the hop unit for an aftermarket one to improve accuracy,
-
I'm not sure they always come back working TBH. I do my own teching and will work on mates guns for them and I've been handed a couple that had aparantly been to a pro and were awfull .

Yes the L85 should lock back on empty. Benning to look like the mag catch Top of the tape is where my magwell comes to , looks about the same as your 'lifted' mark. If the top tape is with thye mag sat on the catch I'd say your mag catch is buggered.
-
That's a significamt difference in height. The pictures with the mag in from above, is that with the mag 'lifted' or sat on the catch ? Nozzle prong certainly looks the same as mine. If you have the mag in the low position (sat on the catch) does the gun fire ok if an empty mag is set to dry fire ? If the valve knocker ries over the output valve rather than hits it that might point to a mag location issue which would suggest the mag catch.
-
-
Unless the mag is sitting very low once in position which could be the catch, it still feels like a nozzle issue to me .
-
Just following on from my last post, my mate reported a significant improvement in range and accuracy after I had given it a go through. He certainly nailed me with it a couple of times ! That is still on stock barrel and hop rubber running Geoffs .30's, so I'm inclined to think any gains from a M/L barrel and or rubber are going to be marginal.
-
Just looked at mine, when i first put a loaded mag in the bolt release bar does rotate up, however when I let the mag drop into it's 'resting' position , IE sitting on the mag catch, the release bar returns to normal resting position. Obviously with an empty mag the bar remains raised even when mag sat on catch. Are the mags working ok in the M16 ?
