Umarex & the other trademark leeches are pure cancer for the hobby, inflating the cost hugely for no benefit.

It always frustrates me when manufacturers do this. Make it a little hotter than all 350 just to make someone less experienced go "Oh that ones got the bigger number I want that one!" Only to then need to open it up to bring it down to a level that can actually be used, thus voiding the warranty.

Forgive me if this is inappropriate, given it's a retailer but I couldn't help think it quite befitting for this thread... without further delay I present to you, the much anticipated, Umarex MP7 AEG
  

Second hand Cyma P90. I got the same one for £85 posted new from Gunfire a few months back. £130 is ridiculous.

AND in the great tradition of airsofters NEVER being happy with anything kit wise , was looking at the new AUG and thought “I know it’s a para so it’s ment to have a really short barrel but I ‘think’ prefer the look of the carbine” so one TM 416 barrel extender later and all is well in the universe , for now ! 😂

A Snowolf (Jing Gong) AUG A1 para .
was running a rather fruity 356fps on .25’s So via the magic of its quick change spring system I lopped of 3.5 coils and it’s now running a more manageable 309fps ! One thing I did discover was the wires had the polarity the wrong way around ! So corrected THAT fault as well when sticking the deans on ! 
Also @Iceni it’s already been mod’ed ! Looks like your design is getting about ! Think you better pattern it mate ! 😉

Oh, I got a petted-lip voicemail when I initiated a PayPal dispute, they didn't bother responding, and it got escalated to a claim.  Not that I bothered listening much beyond "There was no need to...".  Silly hobbits, that's why I use PayPal, so that I don't have to listen to huffy excuses.

I was on the knifes edge with the JG in fairness but I opted for piece of mind... time will tell if it was worth it.
 
I greatly appreciated your assistance and no doubt I'll be picking your brains when it comes to sticking a MOSFET in and doing an overhaul at some point, haha.
 
If possible can you bounce the details over relating to the safe bar modification?
 
On a sidenote I'm really looking forward to fielding this and putting some shots down range.

Well to honest mate after our little message chat my mind was made up , Cheers for all pointers my friend , will run it ‘as is’ to see how it pans out , mags I’m good (still got all the ones from my original JG👍) fett ? No not bothering I’m a single shot all the time player (can honestly count on one hand the amount of auto I’ve used in mths !) and I don’t really buy in to the whole ’faster trigger response’ gumph as far as I’m concerned the only fast response that has any effect on the game is from the player ! 
Yup soon as I saw it I did think “that’s one funky looking gun , I’m having it !” 
The rail ? I’m bit of a bodget and see what happens guy so not even having thought about it now you’ve shown me the ‘mini’ rail I shall make my own from the original !
A very big thank you for your sage advice , and if and when I do upgrade I shall most DEFINITELY be PM’ing you ! 😁

Well my cadpat patrol rig has arrived from Montréal, gets delivered tuesday.
