  1. Very nice work. Is that a TM, WE, or Guarder frame you shaped and stippled? Or something else?
  2. Can TM pistol magazines take higher powered gas than 144a or do you need to change the valves?
  3. Nice little collection. Even the case is tan.
  4. Are the Marui the internals on the special edition Resident Evil themed Berettas based on the old M92F pistols or the later M9A1 versions?
  5. Thanks. By cut slides i assume you mean the Gold Match. I think it's the only one with cut outs. I have a TM M9A1 and I have been wondering, given the huge Beretta cut out in the slide, whether this might not last too long without cracking on green gas. Even on 144a. I just wondered if, after a good few years of use, they also cracked on duster gas or equivalent.
  6. I know TM plastic slides will eventually crack if used with green gas. Obviously they will last longer if used solely with Abbey 144a or Nuprol 1. But will they eventually crack if used with low powered gas too? Or do they just go on and on for years?
  7. Looks good. What make is that 1911?
  8. Is it worth changing the frame on a WE Glock for a Guarder one? Is the Guarder polymer that much stronger?
  9. Looks nice. Those metal Cyma MP5s seem to be very well thought of for the money. How does it perform?
  10. Well I have checked the Viper and Mil-Tecvh belts and they have parallel lines of stitching above and below each row of cuts. There doesn't appear to be any stitching around the edges of the holes though.
  11. Thanks. So the cheaper stuff like Viper and MFH and Mil-Tech is probably not that strong? I'll do some research and look for the stitching you mention.
  12. Are laser cut vests, chest rigs and drop leg platforms as reliable as the more usual molle? Taking into account the manufacturer of course.
  13. Thanks for the tip. I like the gun but would have preferred it in black.
  14. True. I'd have trouble deciding between the TM Series 70 and the MEU. I prefer the looks of the former, but the MEU has more usable sights. Part of me would like to get a metal one. They are cheaper and nice to collect. For that reason I had considered a KJW - maybe the KP05 which looks more like a regular 1911 than other hi capas. But I know that if I bought one, I'd probably regret not going for a Marui. I don't like CO2 anyway, and metal slided 1911s with green gas can be very inefficient in all but the hottest weather.
  15. Thanks. Yes, I'm the same. I never fill my mags to maximum.
  16. Thanks for that detail. I have an TM M9A1 with a similar build. It weighs almost a kilo. I've always shied away from 1911s because you only get about 20 shots from a gas charge. But now that I can't skirmish any more and use my guns only for plinking, that might not be such a problem.
  17. I've noticed that Marui 1911s are heavier than most of their other pistols, and yet the mags are slim and light. What accounts for this extra weight? Is there metal behind the grips or in the frame?
  18. Of course. I should have realised that.
  19. How many places do practical pistol? Now that I probably can't skirmish I wouldn't mind trying it. If it requires running though, it won't be for me. Nice gun, by the way. Will you keep it stock?
  20. Why so cheap? Why on clearance. Make me suspicious. Looks great and has a metal body. Since it has a mosfet, is it lipo battery only, or would it also run on a 9.6 nimh?
