  1. Use Google translate. I have bought stuff from Germany using it.
  2. Can anyone tell me the maximum temperature a soldering iron should be heated to for stippling of plastic pistol grips? TM and/or WE.
  3. Yes, I realise that Tommikka. I could join a re-enactment society I suppose,, but it isn't really my kind of thing. Thanks for the reply. Good to know.
  4. How do you manage to keep your UKARA? Now that my skirmishing days are over, I will lose my UKARA in March of next year. That is why any other rifs I want will have to be purchased in the next three months.

Right handed universal holster. Purchased from UK Tactical. Never skirmished. Never taken out of my house. I tried a couple of pistols for fit (it worked fine) and put it away. Because I have since had hip surgery and been given medical advice not to play airsoft, it will never be used. I will have no further need of holsters. No marks or smudges. Excellent appearance. Good build quality. Moly straps to the rear. It comes with a spare shim for thicker guns, and an item (both pictured) whose purpose I have no idea of, since the holster came without instructions. Sorry pictures aren't better. It is adjustable and will take most pistols. REDUCED TO £20 COLLECTED OR £23 POSTED.

Premium black ballistic goggle that can be worn over prescription glasses. Ballistic resistance rating of STANAG 2920. They come with their own nicely made zipped container and five anti- fog sachets. I wore then once over my glasses at an indoor cqb site, and removed them after 20 minutes because my glasses were fogging. The goggles didn't fog, just my glasses. They have never been worn since, and because I can no longer skirmish, I have no need of them. So after a mere 20 minutes use, they are in excellent condition. Because they are designed to accommodate glasses and prescription inserts, there is a little more room in them than other goggles. But you don't have to wear glasses to use them or like their appearance. I paid about 60 pounds for them and would like to sell them for 30. They can be collected from the Bolton area of Greater Manchester, or posted at the buyer's expense. Not included in the price but illustrated above are two lower face masks that I have no longer any need for. The olive drab one with ear protection and cheek padding was worn for twenty minutes with the goggles and has been in storage ever since. Excellent condition. I paid about 15 pounds for it and will sell for 8. The coyote brown one has never been used, is of decent quality and is available for 6 pounds.

  7. Aren't the real ones available with stainless steel slides?
  8. What's the best device for stippling a plastic grip: a soldering iron or a wood burning tool? Or something else?
  9. Why do a TM pistols like the Hi Capa (metal upper frame), 1911 (metal inserts in grip) and M9A1 (metal inserts in the grip and metal weight on inner barrel), have more metal than other Marui pistols? The M9A1 actually weights more than some all metal airsoft Berettas. Is it for the sake of realism or something to do with the design of these guns?
  10. Very nice work. Is that a TM, WE, or Guarder frame you shaped and stippled? Or something else?
  11. Can TM pistol magazines take higher powered gas than 144a or do you need to change the valves?
  12. Nice little collection. Even the case is tan.
  13. Are the Marui the internals on the special edition Resident Evil themed Berettas based on the old M92F pistols or the later M9A1 versions?
  14. Thanks. By cut slides i assume you mean the Gold Match. I think it's the only one with cut outs. I have a TM M9A1 and I have been wondering, given the huge Beretta cut out in the slide, whether this might not last too long without cracking on green gas. Even on 144a. I just wondered if, after a good few years of use, they also cracked on duster gas or equivalent.
  15. I know TM plastic slides will eventually crack if used with green gas. Obviously they will last longer if used solely with Abbey 144a or Nuprol 1. But will they eventually crack if used with low powered gas too? Or do they just go on and on for years?
  16. Looks good. What make is that 1911?
  17. Is it worth changing the frame on a WE Glock for a Guarder one? Is the Guarder polymer that much stronger?
  18. Looks nice. Those metal Cyma MP5s seem to be very well thought of for the money. How does it perform?
  19. Well I have checked the Viper and Mil-Tecvh belts and they have parallel lines of stitching above and below each row of cuts. There doesn't appear to be any stitching around the edges of the holes though.
  20. Thanks. So the cheaper stuff like Viper and MFH and Mil-Tech is probably not that strong? I'll do some research and look for the stitching you mention.
  21. Are laser cut vests, chest rigs and drop leg platforms as reliable as the more usual molle? Taking into account the manufacturer of course.
