Hi bud.
What do you think it's worth?
Did you buy it yourself?
You must have some idea of what you want for it.
I know that I have made offers on gear that the owners don't know what it's worth only to get a message back saying,'you are joking, It's worth three times that'

As the old adage goes "guns (& knives😏) don't kill people", it's about time that the police/courts/government actually does what it says its going to do & properly punish the criminal element when caught with blades, all too often it's a slap on the wrist, & in some cases they successfully asked for their knives back, what kinda crock of shit is that ffs.
Remember about 15 years ago a petition was presented to parliament, signed by A&E docs across the country, demanding that all knives, even those sold for use in home kitchens, be made with a squared off blade tip, in order to prevent thrust injuries.
Upon consultation it's was laughed out, as anyone knows all self respecting gangster chavs will just grind a new point in school metalwork etc.

Both my daughter and I have been using these since we started. Brilliant bit of kit but it does leave a small section of the bridge of your nose uncovered and that attracts every stray bb!! lol

Tackle reacted to vonHohenstein in I need help to find the functional parts for a custom 40k airsoft
To adujst the files, so I can fit the internals of a air soft gun inside is a lot simpler than adjusting them so I can fit a whole gun in them. And it's always going to look better if you have a complete redesign instead of a some bits glued to a existing gun.
And it's gonna be fun to make it. I'm neither into airsoft nor cosplay. The fun part for me is making it work.
If I ever start working on a Bolter, it's probably ok, just to hide a full gun in it, because it's so large. But with the Lasgun, I don't want to make it too large.

This. Maybe if more people were to exercise their consumer rights, rather than accept faulty goods and try to fix them at greater expense, then shops might actually be forced to up their game when it comes to customer service

It's an observation, not an argument.
The practice is that if a monopoly provider can bill you the "cost" for a service, they can - and will - name any "cost" that they want.
For example, the £70 fee to switch a vehicle registration mark, which is a take-it-or-leave-it fee for a few keystrokes.

The Met released their gun crime figures this morning and interestingly stated that 46% of the 386 firearms recovered last year were converted blank firers.
Note that they have specifically said Blank Firers so hopefully we have moved away from the bollocks about "replica guns converted with tools bought from B&Q" that was being spouted back in 2006. I would be curious as to wether these were UK Spec or illegally imported European Spec front venting - I suspect the latter as that was the finding of Merseyside police a few years ago.

This sock thing seems to be the norm now.
I think I shall just use one of my socks. Nobody will come anywhere close to my gat with one on it. 😂

Yep - If you're going to play dressup for £150, surely you would just buy a real one for 225.

Which is an utterly irrelevant argument. The principle that those seeking licensing should bear the costs of that licensing is a legitimate one.

Then what incentive is there for them to limit costs? "My department is over-staffed and much of what we do is pointless busywork," said no bureaucrat, ever.

Tackle reacted to RostokMcSpoons in JG SA58/LK58 30000 FAL carbine owner's thread
As mentioned in the 'What Have You Just Bought' thread, I've picked up one of these bad boys for a bit of a song from Action Hobbies' boneyard.
Had to stick a barrel extension on it for a more SLR feel, and an old red-dot 1.5X sight cos it suits the aesthetic, and bingo, it's close to the classic battle rifle look I really love.
I was expecting a polymer receiver, so was delighted to find this has a metal upper.
It seems to have been upgraded - the rate of fire with a 7.4v is great.
The advert talked of a Gate Aster inside. It seems that's true, I watched a video and it follows the expected Gate Aster behaviour from the trigger programming.
I think it has a longer inner barrel too, its poking into the flash hider when in normal carbine configuration.
Accuracy seems merely 'ok', but I've only chucked 0.20's down the garden for 15m so far. Might need a fresh hop rubber.
But of course, it was boneyard for a reason. It seems to have been upgraded, but there is an issue with the single shot function where it doesn't always fire. You can hear the gearbox cycle but I suspect it's not getting all the way back to the point of release. Next trigger pull releases the pre-cocked spring.
I've tried changing the Active Braking from 'auto' to 'off', but that didn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas on things what could be wrong?
Breaking open the gearbox will be a last resort, given I don't seem to have much luck with the darned things, but damnit this gun is a lovely bit of kit and I'll want to run it a lot if I can get it fettled.
Oh yeah, a handy hint for anyone averse to reading instructions before playing with their new toy - the screw in the buttplate is fake - don't expend masses of effort trying to undo it And be complaining about cheesing the screw head when it's made of plastic
The butt plate slides straight down and off to reveal the battery compartment!

Externally needs a service to be reliable.
What does that even mean?

Tackle reacted to Cannonfodder in Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
£700 for a pistol which by his own admission isn't running properly, comes with a load of unknown "upgrades" (probably the reason it needs a service) and has that paint job
