  1. Awesome, out of interest, who's the firm in Slovakia.?
  2. Definitely dodgy af, but I'm surprised as John at J-Tac in general had a good rep ?. As has been said, be thankful you got it back, more often than not these stories have a shit ending. Thanks for sharing all the info, but next time (God forbid?), don't be so polite & patient, when it comes to Airsoft "techs" ?, you gotta be ruthless or they'll do you dry?
  3. Wow, that's a shit story, please please name the so called tech that's monumentally fucked you about so that nobody else gets suckered by him, maybe you should be thankful that he actually didn't open it, he sounds like a 'tard. As for the rif itself, sounds like you packaged it very very well, good job too, if you've opened it up found no exterior moisture or any signs of oxidation on the alloy parts, then I wouldn't worry too much, it should be fine to use, or at least be in the same condition you sent it off in. Hope that helps
  4. £250 new with warranty, prob get the extras new for the other £100, also with warranty. ?
  5. There's the thing, I bought a pair of those, loved the look & the build quality BUT Sold them within a month, couldn't get on with them & they were agony on me within an hour every time I tried to wear them. Whenever boots get mentioned I'm always quick to remind people that boots are like eyepro, we're all different so a perfect fit isn't guaranteed. (prob doesn't help I'm missing a toe & the others are trying to spread to fill the gap, not a good look lol #monkeyfoot?) My current go to boots are Tactical Research minimalist, cross between a military boot & boxing boot, super lite & comfy. I also got a pair of Aku's recently that I've yet to try properly, one can only hope??
  6. I wore them daily for years, literally bought my first pair about 32 years ago (back then they were great) , but having seen a gradual decrease in the quality, both in workmanship & design, & particularly in the materials used, such as the "leather" that isn't really leather. I gave up after the last pair I bought, costing in excess of £90, failed after a couple of months of light use. Never again?
  7. That's a Sainsburys water bottle, but that ain't water......... Filthy cnut???
  8. The ak mags are abominations, absolutely no thought gone in to them?
  9. Primaries: 90% aeg, 2 gas shotties, & a pile of spring snipers & shotties. & half a dozen GBB pistols as secondaries. But, as soon as a game day rears its ugly head, its always what aegs I'm gonna take that come to mind, after all they're generally no fuss & rarely miss a beat (as long as I remember to charge the batteries lol)
  10. Can't say I remember it (was he the numpty knocking out fake sig sights as real ?) , but price is OK (clone obviously) & it's ebay so as long as its paid for with PayPal can't see there being an issue.
  11. Here's the solution for your helmet: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225305990836?hash=item34754896b4:g:FSsAAOSwFdpiZIO5&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoCfi16Mu58AbV6qQiR2lVOZgQtGotqfN2M59yc4M8Tmu9iw7mQe39jbOht7ZuvIFRUYvnCLeo53KnDn5XajBGXpTxo1rP8riJ3WMlLa8Zf8Kr07MkwoAnuozaYH2mDJnBIEr%2FCO6dh6MWrJebASjVkVbA7JQVTAJ64GI544uXr0hKdCsZAZEXYdRNt7jklxHJ0t0v9VX8LnIemwDD2nDwdQ%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6Smut-vYQ
  12. To be honest, piss easy to rig a temporary ris rail to an mg42, all those barrel shroud slots are screaming out for an appropriate sized washer behind them & a rail bolted through, no holes drilled & easy to remove when not needed. Yep I know a rail on a 42 isn't historically correct, but personally if I was determined to use a 42 in night games, being as heavy & cumbersome as they are, I think it'd be much safer for you & the gun if the light was barrel mounted, everything focused together so to speak, if that makes sense ? That's not to say don't have a head torch or helmet rail mounted torch for personal admin needs & fiddly shit, but for actual "combat", weapon mounted is the way to go.
  13. You've hit a wall because the kit your looking for doesn't exist, yes you could try to amalgamate an nvg mount to a head torch, but it's likely no one has done it previously because it's reliant on potentially wrecking 2 good bits of kit to make 1 mediocre piece of kit that can only ever be used in that particular set up. There's plenty of options for helmet mounted lights, low or high output, coloured light or ir output, rail mount or helmet clip. In order to give you the best advice we need more information, what your trying to achieve in its use, power output etc. My post went up as your post did, but for starters the two won't work well together, too much misalignment, even if we're trying to aim down sights. Then there's the issue of constantly reaching up to the head torch to turn on/off or adjust setting as most brands have to be "cycled" through the various outputs. There are some taclites with better options, such as high output main beam coupled with very low output leds for moving around without giving away your position, such as a Rico tac9. You say there is no option for mounting taclites on your lmg, not so, there's got to be a possibility to mount a rail somewhere, failing that Jerry rigging something on ?, what model lmg is it ?
  14. I'll pm you?
  15. Jim you motherfucker?, I kept thinking the username was familiar, but didn't put 2+2 together lol, how the feck are you, back playing ?
  16. Vegetato was my old teams camo, well at least clothing wise, with od rigs, but I struggled to find a lot of choice, turns out they don't turn out much veggie kit for those of us with the "fuller" figure lol?
  17. Wow, @DrFumbles, firstly thank you for sharing that, can't have been easy, but it does put a whole new context on the situation. The fact that you have her demands on text etc, plus the fact you have previously discussed this with your gp & other healthcare professionals is a massive positive, you can take this information to the police, in fact there's nothing to say that your not entitled to insist they take action against her in regards to "controlling & coercion", which could have numerous outcomes, possibly giving you an opportunity to return to the property under escort to retrieve what's rightfully yours (to that end I would consider putting together a list of everything that is solely yours, jointly owned items may not be touched at this time without shit kicking off). Allowing the police to act may also convince her to release your stuff, as a start to show contrition for her previous behaviour, something any legal representation would advise her to do as cooperation goes a long way if done in the early stages before cps decide on charges. As for you contributing to the break up by essentially keeping a confidential "diary" within secure email drafts, NO FUCKING WAY IS THAT ON YOU, it just highlights the extent she was going to in order to maintain control, & is another fact that supports your case for the police to act. Good luck mate.
  18. Certainly sounds like it, question would be do you have the demand for payment in writing ?, text or email, ideally with her reasoning behind demanding payment ? If you have, great, take it to the plod, but if it's verbal, then it's just your word against hers & your back to square one. If this is the case maybe you should try to initiate comms via text, & carefully get her to admit her reasoning for wanting payment for releasing your own property back to you. Unfortunately without the big picture, some may assume that you also played a part in the demise of your relationship, & her actions & demands are either a form of revenge, or her attempt to recoup financial losses she has somehow suffered. I'm not judging, just saying it's a bit of a minefield & these situations usually don't happen spontaneously, if there's more to it then you might have to consider that your not gonna get to walk away with no recriminations, financial or otherwise. We might see you on judge rinder lol. PS pretty sure there's nothing in the vcra that covers this, in fact as daft as it sounds she could demand to see proof of your ukara before handing it over, even if you paid the 350,its mad?
  19. Steady on comrade, I nearly had to use the "careful now" emoji ?
  20. I did the same, unfortunately I've had to stick with a few site groups just to see what's coming up, but even then I still despair about some of the crap people post up. Thank feck for this place??
  21. Hi Joe, all of the above advice is excellent, I'll echo it by saying plastic gun, as long as its a reasonable brand then whatever you like the look of should be fine, accompanied by three hi-caps should be more than enough for your needs, even with a heavy trigger finger. As for load carrying equipment, again the lighter the better will benefit you at this stage, in fact I'd seriously consider a grab bag, (something like thishttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234816279020?hash=item36ac2411ec:g:Kl8AAOSw3Xhjld2a&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoNgXFPc5xPm4RRY%2B79dia5ERL%2BOokatw%2Bo1NCwCJwqwLIx6SSgJWHB8%2FzWohgks9F9QTFbavmufe4QBWrE%2By534lgQJuxUnRGZ5iZ93qwFc9ywNhl5STyLXVQ2EeFNr2X7Slxbk9NCwIK4QpevT2hZiN5LOluomqdWLToBZLNlRcSZjepQ5J7S%2FpAVtFeq3fWXuo8sRb%2Bwc2x7AKxMDd1%2Fw%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7aE79ysYQ), essentially a tactical handbag with exterior pockets for easy access to your mags, & a larger centre pocket, enough for 500-1000ml water bottle, the big mouth nalgenes are great & easy to top up in the safezone, couple of chocky bars of your choice, spare battery for your rifle & a small bag of bb's for topping up in case some games don't involve a trip back to the safe zone between turnarounds. Literally it'll be about 3kg at the most, & easy to take off if you need a breather, the numerous tactical vests available may look the part, but layers of heavy sweat inducing nylon are overkill at this point. Decent footwear is a must, again doesn't have to be military issue or Gucci af, comfortable pair of walking boots with ankle support will do. Eye Pro is a must, glasses/goggles or full face is down to you, just be aware that teeth can get chipped, seen it a couple of times myself, expensive to put right & reallyy spoils your day lol. As for sites to play, recommend you look at man-made stuff, cqb or similar rather than woodland, for the next few months it'll be slippery af & every step is littered with trip hazards potentially. & don't feel the need to emulate those around you, play at your own pace while you quite literally find your feet, I currently have mobility problems but doesn't stop me racking up the kills, #sneakymotherfuckerforthewin Literally slow & steady wins the race. Good luck mate, keep us posted & ask here before you spend any money, we'll stop you buying any lemons lol.
