Very true, myself & @Duff Beer were part of a pretty big team, I think 21ish members at one point, great guys & generally all very keen, & then out of the blue a couple lost interest, quickly followed by more who felt they had grown up commitments, next thing it's all come tumbling down, now we're just whispered legends in the halls of valhalla lol. Unfortunately it's rare to find the people behind the production that actually care (or know) about the finer points that trigger some viewers. Then of those that do care (or know), how many of those are then hamstrung by the money people too tight to pay for more realism & detail. & then finally you get that small percentage who want to make a blockbuster, with a speculate to accumulate attitude, think the likes of oliver stone & platoon, actors at a harsh boot camp etc, living the dream lol. Unfortunately those productions are rare as rocking horse shit, watch the opening credits of most films these days & there's about a gazillion "production" companies (aka backers) who will tentatively throw a few quid in the hat while shitting themselves their gonna get bankrupted by a covid outbreak or lead actor od'ing before production finishes, in the old days it would be one firm commited to the end product.

That's another good point I'd overlooked, the sites themselves, we've lost some of the well established greats, the likes of UA, the mall, combat south & probably many more, new sites are rare & often short lived thanks to the stupid amount of new housing being built. How far your prepared to travel for a decent game then becomes an issue, personally I always end up spending more on fuel to get to & from sites than the actual green fees themselves. But then that's probably my fault for living closer to France than my nearest Airsoft site.

Covenant was OK, bear in mind that a majority of audiences aren't stitch counters, more often it's the stars rather than the content that gets butt's on seats. As for sniping, or any other particular military skillets, the finer details have got to be compressed in to 2 hours or less, read the book of the same title, binge it in 24-48hrs maybe, or take a week or two, either way the detail you'll probably briefly absorb would be impossible to put in to film unless you "24" it (Jack bauer !).

I think covid would have had a small impact on numbers, but it's likely those bods would have drifted away eventually anyway. I'm more inclined to blame the "cost of living crisis", literally everything has rocketed in price (except maybe Airsoft green fees ?), & for most Airsoft is low down the list of financial commitments, less disposable income will make people reevaluate their priorities. IMHO 🤔

When it comes to swaps, if the other guy doesn't have a considerable online history, ie feedback/posts/time under his belt, he'll have to send his kit first, no excuses, once received I'll reciprocate & give suitable commendable feedback. Everytime a new member posts up an extensive "wanted" list, I cringe, it's like chucking out a load of chum & waiting for the sharks to come around🦈

It is mate, has served me very well, plus picked up another one to dye black. My son & his GF both have the bulle M4 rig as well, no complaints 👍

Like @Duff Beer, I too have a hsgi ao rig, yep it's very good, only downside is if your a wee bit porky it can look kinda silly & almost exaggerate ones porkiness. In over 20 years of playing, & subsequently bouncing between load carrying kit trying to find the perfect solution, gotta say that the bulle mle is as close to perfection as your gonna find, I have two & no matter what I try, I always go back to them. Definitely, within reason, but for example, & mention this as I know of your previous connections to northern Cyprus, in the south Airsoft is technically illegal, games are usually arranged on private forums & at private property via invite only, & the plod turn a blind eye unless they receive complaints, which is rare. Anyway, imagine turning up at your first game invite in full Turkish army loadout, given the islands history you'd probably be swinging from an olive tree by lunchtime. That's not to say the Greek Cypriot guys are overly aggressive or patriotic, but some things wouldn't be ignored.

Now that would be almost funny, swaggering cuntchops turns up at his local site sporting his controversial patches, coupla visiting Ukrainians give him a "lesson" in humility🤣 I'm usually the kinda guy that intervenes when shit kicks off, but I think that would definitely be a "stand back & eat popcorn" moment lol😏

End of the day, z/wagner shit is claiming hundreds+ lives every day, even today, on both sides, & let's not forget that some of those Russians aren't there out of choice, & others may have gone there having been misled by the dictatorships "free" media & state propaganda. On that basis, no site should be allowing these patches to be worn on gamedays, in 30+ years you might get away with them being part of a viable loadout (but I doubt it), but in 2023 they're just symbols of oppression & murder on a massive scale.
