No, bad idea, same firm, same bs, same nightmares if anything isn't right. If they ship it over & it has ANY issues, are you gonna happily sit on your hands while it trundles slowly back the usa, & hope that when (or if ?) it comes back it's sorted. Alternatively, for 600 quid, buy a long & a short specna with quick spring changes, & bask in the smug glory that success brings😏 We are all assuming your in the uk ?

While I try to be frugal when buying gats & all the associated kit, if I think of a conservative figure, maybe 1.5 to 2k per year, but then times it by years playing (23ish), that's just mad😱
-
That's why we need to stockpile now, like those crazy yank preppers lol🤪

While technically your correct, it all comes back to "grey" areas, in particular power output. Like most things it usually takes a legal precedent for the government to take action in implementing or altering laws. For us it's unlikely to be on the basis of power output, most of the gats we use would implode if we tried to get them up to near lethal output levels. The only other real issue that could affect us in the future is the realism of the kit we use, & again there'd have to be a precedent set in order to trigger a government response, either a massive increase in the number of specifically airsoft rifs in crimes, in particular violent crimes or crimes against the establishment, bank robberies etc, Or an increase in cop versus airsoft rif fatal shootings, in which case coroners & the like call for further restrictions against their availability. The similarities between our kit & air weapons is primarily mechanical, pistons displacing air etc, but it is ridiculous that it's much easier to purchase a much higher power air rifle or pistol, that can also be as realistic as real steel, than it is our pot metal & plastic low power toys. I for one don't feel there's any benefit in publicly admitting that on paper we technically are the same, because if "they" go after them, they might tar us with the same proverbial brush. But that's only my opinion. 🤔

I tried goggling their location, what I got was very vague, but as you've mentioned, everything had a US feel which would be a big concern for me if I was chucking a grand at a gun (it'd never happen lol). @Yashy, no offense, you've been here a while but the questions in your post makes me feel that your still quite new to the airsoft "scene" ?, if this is the case, why do you feel the need to blow a grand on an airsoft gun that only it's sellers sing the praises of, with fairly outlandish claims, when that kind of spend could get you two or three very good quality guns in the uk, which would also be reassuring when it comes to returns, technical assistance, or spares etc.

According to the link, you can specify either 400 or 350fps, I think there's your answer, just ensure you've picked the right option at checkout. (350 obviously)

Unlikely most members have seen this kit come up secondhand, better if you were to look up the lowest price the kit is new, subtract a figure that allows for the new cost of the mag & inner barrel, look what total you've arrived at & then subtract 25-30% from that. 🤔

Naah, it's just another M4, admittedly on steroids, but for me a shottie has got to look like one, or alternatively look like nothing else on the market.

Deffo +1 on that, it's a lot of well performing gun for the money 👍, & looks cool af in what is usually a sea of vanilla armalites🤮

I definitely would 🤤

Took me own advice, just ordered a guitar hardcase, something to put the AA12 in I've got coming, Chicago style lol
-
For the rare times i used public transport I always fancied one of those guitar hardcase gunbags, I think hazard4 make one, or even buy a regular one from Ebay & put in dividers, mind you with the amount of kit I used to take to games I'd probably need a wheeled cello case. That reminds me, years ago, leaving a job at the Barbican a girl passes us wheeling a massive cello hard case, I turn to the lad working for me & say: "She used to work for me but I had to sack her" His response: "really, whys that ?" I replied: "I found out she was on the fiddle" He started laughing about 10 minutes later lol 🤣 I'm here all week😏

Agree, I briefly closed an office block down when something I'd ordered went through the post rooms xray machine🫣

I'm torn, it's not far from me which is a definite plus, but I detest badly run sites, but now I wanna see how bad, if it is I'll rip the shit out of it & it's sycophantic fanbois 🤣
-
Yep, testing shit is definitely only to be done in an empty site, & no one signs a waiver expecting to be exposed to homemade crap, never mind that the already feeble public liability insurance (if they even have it ?), would be completely voided by using homemade launchers or pyro.

@Joe Caliandro you mention "silly mistakes" by youngsters, care to elaborate on what they were ? Also, the term "horrific" is surely overly dramatic on your part, it's the kinda word one uses if someone loses an eye, or suffers a life changing complicated fracture on site ? End of the day, safety issues MUST be addressed when identified, failure to do so will damage more than just their reputation, a thumbs up just doesn't cut it. 👍😏

I notice @501st Airsoft was on here last night, but chose not to comment ?. 🤔

Welcome Joe, everyone's entitled to an opinion, that's what makes this place great, Colin shared somebody elses review, someone he knows personally so he has no reason to disbelieve what he was told. He & I had discussed this a little a week ago & he was reluctant to disclose too much info until the site had been given the opportunity to respond. I'm guessing they chose not to, or their response was inadequate, hence why this is now in the public domain. I'm gonna make an assumption that the reviewer, & his family, aren't first time players, & that the issues they've highlighted, particularly safety, aren't what they've seen elsewhere, which would explain why they felt the need to share their gameday experience. Thing is, I've played some atrocious sites, issues at every level from safety, to marshaling, to the game scenarios that are set in place, I've come away horrified, I've spoken to marshals & owners, & on a rare occasion shared my thoughts online, but the latter is usually after I've gone back & given them a second, or even third chance. And throughout this, I'll hear players extolling the virtues of the site, either on the gamedays I attended, or just in general, & the only conclusion I can come to in order to explain the disparity between my opinion & theirs, is that they don't know any better, they haven't experienced a top quality well run site, so to them, it's literally the adrenaline fueled dogs bollocks. BUT Any failings are on the site & it's staff, that includes how players behave, anybody can cheat or act like a cnut, but if that behaviour is not nipped in the bud, it speaks volumes about those supposedly in charge. & if word gets around it gets worse, decent players stay away, but the cheats & arsehole arrive in droves, before you know it, it's akin to twa Croydon, & nobody wants that lol🤣 PS. I will be attending the site personally at some point, it's not far from me, & if I experience anything similar, I will be very vocal about it😏

Is airsoft not "a thing" where your planning to go mate ?, when we were thinking of going to southern Cyprus, where airsoft is technically illegal but there is an "underground" network of players, my kit would have been buried deep in a cargo container under all the mundane crap. Take more than a silly old law to make me quit lol.

Thanks Rob, they've been on & off my radar a few times, definitely a contender now though👍 Unfortunately no ukara at the mo, 23yrs of playing & currently as least 20 rifs in my armoury counts for nothing with most retailers Unfortunately 😒, another reason to look at the classifieds, aa12's are a bit thin on the ground currently. & if I'm honest, this is probably one of the few classifieds sites I trust, but I'll have a nose on the others just in case. Got a couple of basr's, & a nice mk43 courtesy of @Asomodai .
