Can my edge 2.0 run on a Nuprol 11.1v 2000MAH LI-ION battery?
Rogerborg replied to eprosser08's topic in General Help
I'm a lipo Poor, so I hadn't considered it, but it does make sense. Hmm, I have a box of salvaged 18650s, and I have wire and tape... ? -

Ahoy and a welcome de-lurking. Don't mind us gobby know-it-alls, we're just making it up.
-
It's got some sort of hop, and looks to be over-hopped for the BBs being used.
-
Meh. It's just another high ROF AEG with a box mag (and more ways to malfunction). No different to someone BRRRTING with a FireHawk. Don't make me break out the memepic. The impressive bit is how they've managed to sync up the barrels with the puff from the piston: I'd be fairly confident that'll go wrong - or be "upgraded" until it goes wrong - in short order if you actually use it.
-
Surprisingly, they do seem to actually shoot more or less consistently. Lolz and all, but more to go wrong.

Thanks for the follow-up, and apologies for missing this. I'd have suggested a set circlip pliers, which are a generally handy thing to have.

Nice job. The airline is a good shout, I reckon you want something that applies some positive outwards pressure while the window material is curing. Did you lube it with silicone spray or similar as a release agent? I tried this with sugru and a PTFE-tape-wrapped 6mm drill bit shank, but despite leaving it 24 hours before withdrawing the bit, the sugru then slumped into the barrel to the extent that I was hopped to the moon with no pressure applied. Some folk report success with bog standard silicone sealant, I may give that a try as well. [EDIT] I should stress that this is just for fun, really, since Maple Leaf rubbers and nubs already do a pretty good job.

Can my edge 2.0 run on a Nuprol 11.1v 2000MAH LI-ION battery?
Rogerborg replied to eprosser08's topic in General Help
The X-ASR will protect the trigger contacts and (probably) provide a low resistance wiring path to the stock motor. Bu that's all that it does, and if you throw in a beefier motor and/or spring, it can pet its lip and refuse to supply the necessary current. I'd chalk that up to my example of it, except someone else here reported the same issue, so I expect it's a design feature. The Aster in the 2.0s is a fully featured fire-control system, and those guns represent pretty good value for money considering the price of a standalone Aster. -
Motor Adjustment Height impossible to change.

Preach. Once you've accepted that airsoft QC and compatibility means "within about 3mm", you can just go straight to the file, sandpaper and shimming tape. -
Can my edge 2.0 run on a Nuprol 11.1v 2000MAH LI-ION battery?
Rogerborg replied to eprosser08's topic in General Help
To be clear, the Edge 2.0 has the Aster. The more basic Edge guns have a for-novelty-purposes-only X-ASR which provides nothing but trigger contact protection, and problems. -

Should be fine. If you experience double-shooting on semi-auto, the active braking feature on your mosfet can deal with that. Aside, have Nuprol just taped three 18650 li-ion cells together there? ? -
A moments silence for the passing of an MB02 rif.
Rogerborg replied to Egon_247's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
The screws in my Well MB-02 were the most useful parts, and sadly half of them fell out. These guns are the exemplar of why there's no such thing as a cheap bolt action, at least beyond the first few starry eyed game where it just needs one more thing, then it just needs one more thing, then it just ne- aww, the sears have stripped, or the stopper has wallered out. Fortunately I stopped before I'd thrown too much money at mine, skipped the uPgRaDe path, and went straight to a TAC-41. -
Hammerspace.

Should I be... cautious, this instant? ? I jest, this catches a lot of people out. It's not hugely obvious that there even is a classifieds here, let alone a wanted section, and the spambot check that stops you getting access to it is also fairly obfuscated. If you're still not able to post there, just have a bit of banter first and you should get access.

Sounds very unWell. -
I'd ban them, IP ban them, then IP ban their mums too.

Here: https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/category/17-guns-wanted/ I mean, we say that, but since these "Sell me gnu" posts never get taken down, they do seem about as effective.

Adjusting iron sight on Specna Arms SA-H22 (H416 type)
Rogerborg replied to ParHunter's topic in Electric Guns
Then I'd be asking the retailer for a solution. Well, I'd have disassembled everything that can be disassembled to see how the indexing works. But do as I say, not as I'd do. -
60% of lowest current retail for anything that I did want (and I wouldn't want to pay 60% of the current retail for a G&G Raider), zero (or maybe postage costs) for anything that I didn't. Just tell the seller straight up what you actually want, and what you're willing to pay for it. But really, there's nothing there that you can't get individually elsewhere, so there's no incentive to go chasing after someone who got mugged and who now "kNoWs wHaT ThIs iS WoRtH AlL DaY LoNg, MaTe." Let them sit on it until they come to their senses, or split it up.

Help choosing my first AEG please (Double Eagle M9XXX) :)
Rogerborg replied to Coupsty's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
M906C is a solid choice, you're not likely to regret it. Are you buying a chrono? I ask because you can sometimes be surprised by guns shooting hotter than usual just due to accidentally spot-on airseal. So I wouldn't be in a hurry to up-spring it unless you've got a way of being sure that you'll pass chrono (or are confident that you can swap or cut a spring quickly enough to get you playing on the day). We generally recommend playing with a gun as stock first so that you've got a baseline for determining whether any "upgrades" are actually helping or not. -
Looks to me like "oh, everybody knows, we don't really have to spell it out". But how are you meant to know what constitutes "CHEATING" on your first game? Or even after your tenth game if nobody has told you, and you've picked up bad habits. The Depot's rules are better, but even at that there are things that I'd prefer to see spelled out absolutely unambiguously, such as a hit being anywhere on your body or any of your gear, including helmets, pouches, or your level 99 adamantium plate carrier. This is the sort of thing that's regularly covered at "briefs", which is why they aren't. Why not just write down everything that people need to know? Whose time are you saving by not bothering?

Bro, just bank-transfer me half the value, then I'll bank-transfer you half the value back. My Canadian girlfriend can vouch for me.

Seems to be evolving in real time. Just the usual "ah, it'll be all right on the day" stream of consciousness. Segue to the UKAPU "y u no have consistent rules???!?" thread.
