All credit to the dirty, dirty smear merchants for such a surprisingly accurate description. They even clarify later that it's a plastic BB shooting airsoft gun rather than an air gun firearm. Going by the comments from locals, it sounds like another soft touch judge got mugged off.

You're very welcome to, but I doubt that it will make an iota of difference to our learned colleague's deeply felt feelings about what the law ought to say. Honestly, I've just given up, if I wanted this level of informed and constructive debate I can get it on Twitter, Facebook, or yelling at tramps down the bus station.

Although thanks to airsoft physics and air seal shenanigans, it can also go up. Site dependent, I've never once been asked to dial my hop off. Some guns need to be disassembled in order to do it. I agree that the legal limit is a hard 1.3J, but it's quite tricky to determine what our gnus are really capable of, given that "any missile" could mean a 0.86g steel BB that would shred the hop and barrel in short order (but the intent is to limit what they could do, not what we would do with them). For all that I'm hot for chrono, I've never been a fan of dialling off to hop. For safety considerations (as opposed to legality), I'd advocate chronoing in game with the hop and the BB mass that players are actually using, since that's... well, what they're actually using. Urgh, that's weaker than a politician's excuse. 0.67J, even TM fanbois would have a hard time justifying that. Have you spooged any silicone up the nozzle? That might be enough to get a better seal. If not, I'd bite the BB and change that spring for a known quantity.

Ahoy and welcome. And yes, you're spoiled for choice down there, enjoy.

Who said that it did? It does however distinguish between a discrete act, and an ongoing course of conduct. The fact is that it is not a "two tone gun", firstly because no such definition exists in law. It's either a realistic imitation firearm, or an (implicitly non realistic) imitation firearm. And it is a realistic imitation firearm. What it might have been in the past isn't relevant to what it is now. Who is under an obligation to modify it into a non-realistic imitation firearm, and why? What offence is being committed if they do not? Is the offence an action, or a course of conduct? Which Act and Section defines the offence? Good job nobody except you is making that point then. We're all going to agree that an offence was committed at the point where it was modified into a RIF. However, it sounds likely that a defence could be adduced, and it's irrelevant to the recipient, and always has been, now or in the past, as they committed, and are committing, no offence by accepting or possessing it. And what's the relevance of that? No offence was committed by either the person making or receiving the gift through the act of gifting. No defence is required, not that ignorance is listed as one. The amazing thing is that you do actually know the relevant legislation, which lists the relevant offences, and yet you've gone ahead and imagined up some more. Wait... do you work for the police or CPS?

I would fully expect it. They're a Californian company, and will be crawling with purple-haired social justice warriors. AUP: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full?&locale.x=en_US "You may not use the PayPal service for activities that [...] relate to transactions involving [...] firearms" Federal law suggests that they're not firearms for the purposes of the Gun Control Act of 1968, 18 U.S.C. Section 921(a)(3): “(A) any weapon (including a starter gun), which will, or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon" California, well, here are the penal code references if you really want to put in the time to argue the case. https://airsoftaculous.com//airsoft-laws-in-california/ I'd just fix it up and get on with your life.

Galaxy MP5K ‘death machine’ conversion and holster setup?
Rogerborg replied to Halo's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Oh, that model. Sorry, no idea, I have the short-short MP5K version that needs an innie-to-outie thread converter to mount most tracers or suppressors (or loudeners). It looks like that stocked and railed up... interpretation... is indeed the only one available at the moment. -
Crikey, how often do you lose them?

Ahoy and welcome. Not that I have either, but I'd note that the original TM and clones are under-sized, while (e.g.) the VFC is 1:1, so any advice about what fits what will be conditional. These are a thing.

The only flesh I eat now is pork, because it's the only way to be sure that it's been slaughtered humanely, rather than by some sand-wizard wailing spells over a stone knife stabbathon.

It might depend on how real life real military real millsim your real-battle realsim is. Honestly, the amount of "how do?" in airsoft that could be answered by one query to the Dungeon Master of the LARP in question.

I honestly can't imagine how you could pay that much to buy every conceivable spring that might possibly suit, then throwing most of them away. Well, if you can get the measurements, https://springsandthings.me.uk/ is a decent source for small springs.

I'd ask the organisers. They may have their own ideas about what constitutes a magic sponge, or they may hand them out to medics. Bear in mind that you'll either have to get yours back, or write them off. Without any indicators to the contrary, I'd be bringing the thinnest, cheapest strips of cut up piss-stained bedsheet[*] and not expecting them back. [*] It was the cat, honest.

That's a really nice job, it feels spot on. I contributed some of networking and robot AI to XPilot a few... uh... decades ago. The vector will rise again!

Mostly covered above. Toilet paper or wet wipes, you won't need them until you really, really need them. And do you know where your towel is? -
You don't even know you're born until you've been thrashed to death by your dad, got up before you went to bed, then walked to work in the snow, 5 miles there and back, uphill both ways.

Wait... is everyone here a 1980s 8-bit nerd? 😮 I started on a GlaDOS system with the integral mobile power source. Friday night rules, here's a cover of Poker Face performed on piano, guitar, ukulele, table-thump, and stylophone, entirely conceived, played, sung, filmed and edited by one teenager with a potato-cam.

Cheap plastic crap, mate, not even worth listing, mate, you should just PM me with your best price, mate. Banter aside, they're not magical out of the box, they're OK-ish, light, and can be upgraded to the moon. The current new price is about £85 if you can find one in stock, which you probably can't. -

Nah, not really, I go for security over quick draw. Leg panel, a piece of Kydex formed into a tunnel and inserted into the molle, and a strap over the outside holds it in place snugly. I'm barely even aware that I'm wearing it. Without DethKannon: With DethKannon:
