  1. The cheapest option is to use two normal metal washers. You can file them to the correct ID and OD
  2. Of course, otherwise known as snipers 😄 ROF - 'Rate of Fire' or wanker rating. The higher it is the more wanky. Over 15 is knob level.
  3. We don't mention the 'Hippo Poo Area'
  4. Good idea Barry Could make this into an Airsoft dictionary or encyclopaedia. I would add to the list: IF - Imitation Firearm - Two Tone painted weapon BFG - Blank Firing Grenade (Come as Timed or Impact type) Hop - Rubber part that imparts spin on the BB to keep trajectory straight (Can also be referred to as 'Adjusting the hop') Li-Po - Common battery used with AEGs. (Commonly 7.2v but some AEGs can use 11.1v) DEANS / T-Connector - Battery connection type for AEGs Mini-Tamiya - Older, less efficient battery connector for AEGs
  5. Its essentially a KJWorks KP06 (Very good reviews) As always happens, I just bought one from Asia 🙄
  6. I'll throw a few more pence in the bucket... If you just want to plink at home then a pistol is a good choice as its more fun to use than an Electric weapon (AEG) As Tommikka said, you could just buy a two tone coloured pistol without any legal requirements (as long as you're over 18) But I would also recommend to try renting at a game site to see the true potential of the sport. If you don't like it then its not a big cost and you will get to see lots of weapon options. (I preferred woodland games with sneaking around and a range of weapons but indoor CQB is faster and can be played just with a pistol) If you do like it then you'll only need to attend two more games at the same place to register with UKARA and then you can buy any realistic coloured toy (RIF) Check HERE for sites near you. Either way, have fun 😁👍
  7. I don't know about you guys but I never bought anything from them so I guess they didn't have competitive prices. Hopefully its not going to be a trend with other retailers.
  8. Welcome ✋ There's plenty of info and other stuff around here to see so enjoy your stay 👍
  9. Fantastic work! Only thing I would add would be to black the inner barrel
  10. Nothing needs to be done. Do NOT spray any lubricant into the magazine. If its not feeding properly then there is a problem with the mechanism and may need disassembly.
  11. I use THIS one for basic calculations
  12. Welcome (back)✋ I don't know of any other forums as good as this one. (I don't use Facebook) (It probably hasn't changed much since you were here) Its good that you made a space specifically for parent softers with minions 👍 Enjoy your stay.
  13. Maybe not but everyone else will 🤣
  14. Yes, plus the hop is very basic and hard to adjust. (You have to take the inner barrel out where there is a tiny grub screw to adjust) I just can't understand why no other company has made such an iconic pistol.
  15. Funnily enough that's the reason I got one, because the Hi-Power MK3 wasn't available at the time and it looks very similar. Its a MUCH better pistol than the Hi-Power but I had to have the real thing so I sold the KP09. (This was before we found out the flaw with the Hi-Power)
  16. I agree that metal slides are more realistic and fun so if perfect performance isn't critical then go for a metal one. I had a KJW KP09 and it performed really well so that's definitely a good choice. Most of Mine are WE and apart from the Hi-Powers they're great for price/performance. I even have a few from Vorsk and haven't had any problems with them. For plinking they all perform roughly the same so just get the one you like the look of. Important not to lube too much. Don't spray anything in the nozzle or barrel. And even though you haven't mentioned it I would advise to stay away from Co2 as they can be a lot of hassle/expense when they go wrong.
  17. Welcome Yep, GBB pistols are more fun than AEGs and there are no rules about what to buy first. The TM MK45 is a good choice as its one of the better performers and you'll have a lot of fun plinking indoors or the garden. You won't really be able to play an airsoft game with one but you can always rent and get an AEG later if you want to dive in. The gas and BBs is all you need for now and your choices are good there too 👍
  18. You have a real problem when you find RiFs you forgot you had at the back of a wardrobe...
  19. Its when you keep buying them even when there's no more room on the display.
  20. Yes, you can play at any site as a rental before you get UKARA registered. If you like one site more than another you can count the times played there towards UKARA registration. (Just tell them when you were there) Some sites have their own membership schemes which give discounts on fees and shop but are separate from UKARA.
  21. Going to be a bit quiet on the forum for a time.  Had a motorcycle crash at Brands Hatch and currently in hospital.

So please forgive if it takes a while to respond to messages.

Of course engraving service isn't possible at the moment.

    Cheers,

    ED

You'll get there!  However, I wouldn't recommend Everest; it is bloody huge!

And they have put up the fee to climb it. It's now £12000. 😯

£12k isn't too bad.  I only trecked to Base Camp; that was enough.

  22. You could try to find the equivalent WE part on KYAirsoft. See how similar it is.
  23. Welcome ✋ I think it may be better/easier to find a rubber replica.
  24. Bought at RIF from them in 2019. Arrived fine
