Anyway to take out the stripped screw on handguard?
EDcase replied to Astronautcheng's topic in General Help
They certainly can work but the cheap chinesium will break at much lower torque loads. To put it in perspective, a really GOOD set is quite a bit more expensive. -

Agree with the above ^ BUT get a good set from a known brand otherwise you may end up with two bits of metal to extract 😁 (I'd go for THESE) Put some oil on it and leave for a couple of hours. As the aboves... A slightly larger Torx head or flathead A flathead screwdriver on the side and tap gently but fast with a small hammer. (Counter clockwise of course) -

I'd suspect the battery as well. Especially if its the same age as the MP5 You shouldn't be able to hold the motor pinion As Sewdhull said, its probably worth doing a service anyway. Reshim etc...

Yeah thats strange and worth investigating. Could have ended badly...

Could be worth trying your salvage idea just to see if it works. Then keep it as a backup

I know the feeling as I always use single shot even with an AEG and Hi-Cap. (I tend to die when moving up so needs good co-ordination and suppression from fellow players to work) I may give my GBBR a go when I can get enough mags. (Though my main at the moment is a Lonex BAW 😍 which kicks as much as any of my GBBRs)
-
So 150 shots maximum before you have to stop and reload mags 😁 Its going to be tough going up against AEGs and HPA with hi-caps at 20+ rps 😬 Eh? With a GBBR that's the ONLY way to play 🙄 Gunman FilmSim days have single shot rules and ammo restrictions of 600 BB's for general players. (Other rules for machine gunners, snipers etc) I'm tempted to take a GBBR to one of those games.
-
Looking forward to your experience report. How many mags are you taking?

I just use 0.2 as the pistol only gets used in buildings. Do some testing with different weights to see what works best in your pistols...
-
Wow, that's tough to deal with.
-
That certainly does look like overkill. I can understand having a few mid/low caps but so many hi-caps is not normal. So you stuff them all in your webbing? Isn't it harder to keep track of everything? How do you organise for a game day? I'd get a few of those plastic tubs from pound saver or something to keep dust out of em.

Yes, most gas comes with silicone mixed in which you want. I use Ultrair too and buy from HERE or HERE depending how much you want. Remember to clean the barrel (and hop rubber) with a bit of Isopropyl Alcohol occasionally. Use the cleaning rod with a strip of cloth for the barrel and a Q-tip with a drop of Isopropyl for the hop.

EDIT: This was typed before you replied so info is a bit out of sync Most circuits have polarity protection so the board should be fine. As Roger said, if the battery charge drops below a certain point an intelligent charger won't recognise it. I have recovered a couple of very low bats by setting the charger (B6AC) to NiMh mode and charging for 2 mins. This pumps in enough charge for the intelligent charger to recognise it. Probably a good idea to change the battery anyway. Even if it shows a charge it probably won't last long under load when actually being used.

I know it looks like that thanks but its fine on the other side.

Welcome back ✋ Yeah I think many here would say the M908B is a good starter. You can also consider CYMA and Specna. (Many threads talking about this subject) There's LOADS of choice for chest rigs and pouches. Look at ebay and army surplus to get the cheapest stuff. It can take a few tries to get something you like as needs change. Check out here for sites near you: https://playairsoft.uk/map

Hasn't the simple test question been suggested before? Probably worth a try if it can be easily implemented. I don't find the spam a huge problem as it gets cleaned quite quickly but of course prevention is better. Question: Do you have to delete every post individually or are they all cleared when the user is banned?

Oh yes they did

Hello, I'm back (after a decade away!)
EDcase replied to GraniteFraggle's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Respect to the veterans of the game ✌ and welcome back. Yes, I would guess the toys have become much more diverse, cheaper and more reliable in general. Along with the battery improvements... (I remember going to an army surplus shop in Haymarket near Piccadilly where they sold the L&S plastic gun kits. Never got one tho) -
I think the conversion problem mainly relates to blank firing pistols. As Sewdhull said, most of the operational components are already present. They'd have to chop the barrel, drill out the breech (probably thread it) and replace it all with a steel sleeve and barrel part. It wouldn't last as long as a real firearm since the low quality body metal would probably deform or crack over time. With a GBBR they'd have to do all that AND make a steel bolt with extractor, firing pin AND alter the trigger assembly to hit the firing pin. Even with all those changes the poor quality metal body would likely break the first time it fires. Yes, some AK's supposedly use real steel bodies but the gas tube and block are not. Nor is the gas piston or bolt which would also have to incorporate a firing pin etc...
