Asomodai got a reaction from Speedbird_666 in E and L Gen 2 Gearbox
Take the spring out and coat it in some sort of grease to prevent the twangy sound. Unfortunately the stock E&L Spring for UK spec rifles are incredibly short and can cause this.
As for the noise, it's likely shimming/motor height. Loosen the pistol grip initially and see if the sound is any different.
The stock motor is Neo and really very good, you wont see much of an upgrade with the SHS if any.

Funnily enough, the JG Thunder Maul is based on a rifle in Ghost In The Shell, a 1995 anime movie. It predates many modern rifles that you can get in Airsoft. As someone who is 35, the rifle does appeal to me, though not enough to purchase one. (Its quite innacurate, the one depicted in the anime is a bullpup)

Asomodai reacted to DRay in Can I Be UKARA Registered Without Being a Skirmisher
Another covert ‘how can I avoid UKARA’ thread.
You can’t, you shouldn’t, you won’t find a single UKAF regular poster who will endorse the sentiment.
All of this looks really bad for a sport/hobby that is more or less entirely self regulating, posts are open forum and can be dragged up by anyone who wants to make an argument to legislate against owning grown up toy guns and kill the sport stone dead.
TLTR: put £70 into a small business over the course of 56 days and then go mad ordering stuff on Patrol Base for the subsequent 365 days and turn your back bedroom into an armoury. That’s your option. End of story.

Indeed, the full length AK Front sights are pinned in. I have had to round out the flange with a dremel and tap for a screw much like the Cymas to get it straight.
Pretty sure all enhanced selectors fit the E&L. I could only ever find them on the Continent or in Asia though.

Asomodai reacted to EvilMonkee in Bad Publicity?
@ImpulseI understand your point re context but go and listen to and actually read the evidence as presented. Its difficult to find any context other than him being a massive fucking racist, its not borderline being misconstrued, its downright offensive to most sane people.
As for is it relevant to airsoft? I would argue it is. If he, as a high profile member of the 'community' (I really dislike that word) is holding such views then it reflects on the rest of us if we allow him to remain part of that grouping and any failure to act to express our condemnation of these views could be viewed to be tacitly condoning them. Therefore, its is absolutely right in my mind to link the two and call him out on them. HOW you call them out on them (emphasis added) is the part that has been going wrong.
PS You say Marxist like its a bad thing

We have some things in common it seems!
My Grandmother was born in Austria to German parents, my Great Grandmother was a staunch Nazi who defended Hitler to the hilt, yet my Great Grandfather was one of the 7% of pacifists and a true leftist socialist. I can only imagine the dinner table conversation.
He was called up to service as a medic.
They both fled to Austria when the allies got close.
My Grandmother arrived in the country after meeting my English Grandad. Of course she is 100% anti immigration now and yes is fully aware of the hypocrisy!

There are other governments in other countries who have done far better.
I also think it's more that Boris is stuck between the science and the influential hard right of his own party. I have a tiny slither of sympathy for him in that regard.

In the interest of fairness Hancock would outsource the chrono at massive cost to taxpayers, to his neighbour. who knows nothing about airsoft, wouldn't even turn up to the skirmish and wouldnt know how to operate it 😄

I'll be brief as I am on a walk. Population shouldn't be an issue as we should have been investing more in the NHS to support our population, instead it has been bled dry or invested into frankly awful outsourced contracts. Which is why singapore managed it better then us, because they have an adequate health service that matches the population.
You mentioned population density with NZ, but why not Singapore? Singapore has more population density then London yet handled it far better. Why? They had a health service that was proportionate to the health service amongst other reasons.
With regards to setting equipment aside for potential pandemic, that's what many countries should do. The health service needs to be effective for disastrous events, not "barely functioning" in normal times.
Criticise NZ all you want, they recognised they only had to do one thing, close the borders, which they did, it worked and saved them from hemorrhaging more money then most countries. One of the first things you do in a pandemic is to restrict travel. We didnt do that, in fact Boris was bent on herd immunity, until he was proved wrong.
I certainly do vote at the ballot, but the role of an opposition party is to keep an existing government in check so that people are better informed at the next election. Though sadly the opposition is pretty feckless at the moment.

Taiwan, Singapore, NZ to name but some.
Singapore has been amazing considering they are both a travel hub and one of the 5 most densely populated countries on earth.
A few years ago the NHS conducted a 3 day pandemic exercise who's recommendations were suppressed and largely ignored by the government.
Many of those recommendations if enacted would have drastically cut the amount of deaths and infections we have had up to date.

Envious. I married into a Turkish family, I gave up pork for love.
It's the cheap and unhealthy bits of pork i miss. Haslet, sausages and bacon! Though lamb sausages arent that bad really.
Think I'll start up a "What you cookin'? photo thread" in off topic soon!
