Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
PopRocket123 replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
£300 for a WE M4? But it's got a PTS grip and trigger guard so that's ok. Looking back he was trying to sell it for £600 as a BCM build he'd built but never skirmished. Seems like someone just wanted the rail so he decided to split it all. Trouble is he's expecting to make back all the money he poured into it. https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3232731-we-m4-cqb-unskirmished https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/gas-gbb-rifles-smg-s/3230670-we-bcm-mcmr-build-as-new -

What Have You Learned About Airsoft Recently?

My dad had the same problem. Last game it just went poof. No warning, no discernable reason, nothing. I'm going to keep using mine as long as it works and if it dies in just getting a warfet. -

Can't comment on the prices although they seem high to me. The whole ad is just a mess though. Probably the worst pictures I've seen on the classifieds, smeary, no close ups so you can't see what he's selling, the pictures are basically the same photo. Then there's the description. Vague and lacking details that would really want to know when buying second hand gbbrs. -
I think now matter what we say you should go for it. There aren't enough completely custom guns like this around so don't let strangers on the internet discourage you. Go for it, if it works, great, if it doesn't, learn from it. I want to try doing my own custom pistol like this, just need to find the right internals for it.

Jesus Christ... That's impressive

I mean it tells me what I needed to know. It's pretty consistently accurate judging from the times I could see the BBs flight path and looks like a smooth and easy to operate bolt at UK limits. Seems to be pretty quiet too but obviously that's hard to tell accurately from the video, especially with his weird asmr voiceover. I don't have the funds to sink into a vsr or striker money pit build so this seems perfect for me. -

Waiting for hands on reviews before I get one myself, gives me the chance to save up for it lol. -

This is so overpriced that I can get a return train ticket to the nearest airsoft shop and buy everything included here and I still would have spent less than this. -
Tokyo Marui Saiga 12 GBBR Tri Shot Shotty Announced.

It's not a spas 12 but I'll take it -
Has anyone experimented with using using a longer inner barrel and npas to keep the FPS down. My hypothesis is that it should give better consistency and gas efficiency. I imagine these benefits would be marginal at best but the real improvements should be reduced wear on the hop rubber meaning you can use a softer rubber for longer

That price is hilarious when it looks and reportedly performs worse than the AAP-01, with less aftermarket support and modularity. -
Interesting. I'll talk to my dad about it as he's the one who has the printers

Pla is more brittle. ABS works really well because it flexes so can take hits better, it's easy to sand and paint and you can make very strong larger components by gluing parts together with plastic cement instead of a normal glue which leaves a fracture point.

Reminds me of a video Airsoft Cam Man did a while back. There was a fuckabout game at the end of the day. Basically you didn't have to call your hit until you couldn't bear the pain anymore. -
ABS is the way to go for airsoft. You can also use a bunch of those foam floor tiles from Halfords to make an enclosure. It helps regulate the temperature of the print which is important for printing abs

Those are some pretty clean looking prints. It's that with the printer completely stock? What's it printed in?

What about a contained unit, kind of like the type of thing gunsmiths use to check a gun is functioning without taking it to a range. It's a box with a small hole with rubber shields blocking it. You stick the muzzle of the gun through the rubber, fire of a couple of shots and the box and rubber catch any ricochets. -

It's a VFC. Those things aren't worth the RRP even when they're new -

My dad opened a gearbox at a game once. Very quickly learnt his lesson. Some of the shims fell out and made their way between the gears. Didn't realize, put it all back together and *CRUNCH* Now we just take enough backups to arm half of our team. -

A serious lapse in judgement made me shave off the tactical beard meaning I couldn't be seen in any of my kit until it has grown back to a respectable length ? -

I find a 3 point sling very versatile and usable... as long as I have literally no other tactical kit on me for it to get caught on. It's worst with plate carriers. As for what I've learned, probably that there are ways for me to enjoy airsoft without getting to a game. I've not been playing for over 3 years now due to a mix of health, money and personal reasons which has been incredibly frustrating. Luckily I found 3d design work for my guns to be very helpful easing the pain of not playing. So I can look forward to taking out some very impressive and unique guns when I do eventually get to a game. -

You can get a cheap printer disks in to a really fine degree with some work. This is printed in abs on a modified ender 3 -

Printers are great. You can print all the accessories that are too expensive, discontinued or don't exist. I'm at the point of designing full kits and guns. It really changes how you look at airsoft guns. They become the potential for something more, instead of looking at a gun and thinking that looks cool you look at it and think, what could this become? Hence why I'm picking up a tac-41 at some point to make a MSR kit for it so that I can own the only usable Airsoft MSR
