Just want to pass on my experience and cock ups and ‘hopefully’ help others by-pass my mistakes ? 😉 Don’t get me wrong I do totally get where players come from when they say about the greater range and faster moving BBs of an upgraded one but ultimately I genuinely don’t think the pros out weight the cons of an upgraded TM (for me anyway)I just think it’s a want too not a need too situation ? I’ve always been of the mind that when your playing woodland your field craft is more important than how good your gun is , if I can get in close to you then it’s immaterial if my gun will fire a BB into the next county or not but the laser beam accuracy of the TM does mean that when I do get closer to you your screwed because I know if I do miss then it’s on me not the gun . Ammo wise me and my mates have settled on .28 as the perfect BB for us , sets just the right balance for what we want performance wise . Do hope I’ve helped and not chucked another wrench in the works ! 😁👍

My two penneth worth is if you MUST have that extra 15-25ft change the hop Rubber and nub first , then a tight bore but just leave the gearbox alone all the jokes about fairy dust and Marui magic aside I will say with 100% conviction it’ll never be the same again AND there’s a well above average chance it’s going to go tits up on you . I’ve been running TM recoils for the past 12yrs (matter of fact I still have my first two a 14yr old socom and a 12yr old AK74su)and I’ve had all the models bar a 417 (has to have been around 16ish I’ve had ?) and the only ones I’ve had to die on me where three that i’d had ‘upgraded’ two by ‘professionals’ and one by a respected site tech guy and one of the professionals cost an absolute arm&leg and was treated as a Demi-god when it comes to TM’s but they all still died on me . All I do to mine is if it’s still got a Tamiya I swap it to a deans and if it’s a Sopmod I completely get rid of all the QC battery gubbins and solder a deans on wiring direct too the the stock tube but that’s it . I’m a great believer if you want super dooper range then get a sniper or step up your field craft to get closer to your target ? . Ultimately though it’s your gun your choice , me personally id say run it stock and once we’re all back playing again try and track down players on site who’ve had there’s upgraded and have a chat with them . T’internet is full of opinions and like I always say in this situation “an opinion is like an arse hole , everyone has one and there frequently full of shit !” live long and prosper ! 🤘

I’ve got the GE one and Id say I’m extremely happy with it , it feels solid as a rock and even straight out of the box with just a quick clean of the inner the range And accuracy was outstanding . So yea I’d recommend one . 👍

Any of the ‘reputable’ safety glasses that take prescription inserts + sawfly anti fog wipes (what I’ve been using for a good few yrs now)and you’ll be golden . If you can’t get on with inserts and have to use your normal glasses then get some fan assisted goggles over the top of them , my eldest has used this system for a good few yrs as well with no problem .

As the lads have said you don’t need to do anything now you’ve got it , who ever sold it to you is the one who’s f*cked up not you . 👍

My self and my three team mates who run TM recoils all run them stock , only ones I’ve ever had upgraded (two by professionals and one by a ‘tinkerer’) all went tits up . My pet theory on the subject is as its a well known fact TM only care about the home market and quite frankly couldn’t give a flying fornication about what the rest of the world ‘needs’ or wants all there guns are made to the finest tolerances to suit the very strict fps rules they have there in Japan . Hence once you do start ‘fiddling’ with them your going to alter those tolerances and basically unless you do a total ‘gut and rebuild’ sometime in the near future your gun is going to implode (as happened to the three I had) where as my stock guns are still running fine even up to 14yrs later . About all I’ve ever done to them maintenance wise is every couple of yrs I’ll take the motor off and give em a blast with a can of silicon oil up in to the gearbox but that’s it , even still got the original hop rubbers in them (except one G36 I put a maple leaf hop rubber and nub in to see if it would increase the range, it didn’t ! 🤦‍♂️) just my humble personal opinion , but this does come with the caveat of when ‘opinions’ are voiced just remember “an opinion is like an arse hole , everybody has one and there frequently full of shit !” 😉👍😁

And I would disagree with your disagreement 😁 (@alxndrhll is spot on hadn’t picked up your on about ‘upgraded’ TM’s due to the wording😉)I have 7 TM recoils all are totally stock Bar deans adapters and there all functioning fine and the oldest will be 14yr old this yr and 2nd will be 12yr old and all the rest fit in between those ages and 3yrs for the youngest . The oldest will some times not be touched for over a year due to its specific set up(the others can run for mths and mths with out use) but pick it up stick a battery in it and it runs fine . Yet a Dboys SR I bought for a movie themed loadout was used for a couple of mths then left for 6 or 7mths ? And on trying it to sell it was totally locked and the same thing happened to an army armourment SA80 I had , left for near a year wouldn’t work when tried . 👍

BUT playing devils advocate the good thing with having the TM recoil sat in a cupboard unused for mths and mths is when you do finally pick it up again you 100% know it’s going to work just as perfectly as when you bought it , whereas with the cheap gun the gods of airsoft will cast there bones of good and bad luck to decide wether it’ll still work just to feck with you ? 😳

The secret with knee pads is not to go horizontal with the straps but to cross them behind your knees , as in top strap to bottom slider and visa versa , unless you’ve got straps that are way too long for your Skinny chicken legs then I pretty much guarantee they’ll stay ‘up’ 👍

Well the way Cyma have really stepped up there game the past few yrs and I feel(for me anyway)G&G have sat back on there reputation a bit and not really pushed anything really knew like they used too , AND having bought a few new Cyma’s guns recently i’d get one no problem .

Best thing is the site has a 450 limit on bolt actions and my mates gun was a very nicely set up L96 that was doing exactly 445 right on the nose near every time . Yes a Cyma AK74 that a 47 ! 🤦‍♂️ Don’t know about you lot but me’s definitely getting a ‘retailer clearing out there part-ex Cupboard’ vibe from this persons adverts ?

Almost had a similar situation my self , mate and I bought a bottle of RZR .4’s between us luckily for me but not for my poor mate as he used them first . So 1st and 2nd BBs fired fine , 3rd and 4th shattered in the chamber , these bits got in to The spring tube which caused it to basically destroy its self on the 5th shot . The reply from the on-site retailer who we’d just bought them from ? “Well obviously your gun was hot so it put too much strain on the BBs and THATS why they shattered !” 😳

Have to send her back to redwolf , by the looks of it she’s got a crack in her arse there trying to hide with leopard print nickers ! Disgusting !! 😗

ITAR has some seriously weird criteria for what is and what isn’t covered , take for example when I was looking for an L1A1 flash hider . Only place I could find them was the states and of course it was covered by ITAR so couldn’t buy one BUT I could have bought a breech block from the same retailer as that wasn’t covered WTF ! 😳

Why did you start airsoft? Had never heard of it actually thought I was going paintballing ! , role up to a small abandoned quarry on the side of a Welsh hill in the pissing rain and by the end of the warm up game I was hooked .and that most definitely is all she wrote ! What do you like about airsoft The social side of the day with my best buds . The comradery I’ve developed over the years with guys I only know through the game . Getting to shoot multiple people and not end up in jail ! The adrenaline buzz you get on a good gameday . What don't you like about airsoft (not including KM or non hit taking, something more substantial please) My number one hate is badly organised sites , linked to this you usually then also have poor marshalling which then leads on to safety issues on The site . Players who taking it far too seriously and forget we’re playing grown up make believe and shooting each other with fake guns that won’t kill but can certainly cause nasty injuries if your not carful . the screaming instruction givers , you all know the ones they bark orders at everyone in the team to do this and do that AND it’s usually from the back of the field as well ! Do you think airsoft has any health benefits I.e keeping you fit etc I’d say yes it does certainly help my health and especially my mental health , gets me out doors for a good few hrs and pushes my physical condition but more importantly for me and my team mates it’s a pressure relief valve for us . my self and a teammate both have very intense high pressure jobs (I’m an A&E nurse and he runs a national sports stadium) one other has quite serious health problems and another has retired but his wife has serious issues so he’s got that pressure on a daily basis . So for all of us it’s an escape from reality for a few hrs(same reason I go to the NAE every year , gameplay is shite but it’s just a great escape from the pressures of life for a couple of days)and a chance to ‘vent’ with people I can trust . I know with my mates it’s a case of ‘what happens at airsoft stays at airsoft’ So I can really let it all out without any repercussions.

Thing that made me laugh was the “you may also be interested in” at the bottom . They want you to drop over three and a half grand on the gun but “by the way would you like to by this hundred and twenty five dollar fake suppressor for it as well ?” 🤣🤣

Two total abominations to me one is just so wrong and the other is universally loved but I for no reason absolutely detest it . so 1st the P90 With a STANAG mag adapter , why ! ? ! just why ! ? ! 2nd the Evo , like I said no reason I just detest the bloody things and just think they should ALL be destroyed with fire .

Just had a really nice personal email from a non airsoft retailer in the states that I use fairly frequently apologising but he’s suspending U.K. sales until further notice due to the utter cluster fuck of a hassle it is ref imports&exports for small businesses . He said he’s really sorry as I’ve been a great customer but it’s just taking up way too much of his time sorting it all out to ship to the U.K . 😢

And the TG one has near as dam it already been ‘up-graded’ as seems to be the standard for a lot of Cyma guns sold by TG .
