What have I learned about airsoft ? I have learned (though I think we all already know this) airsofters are like the proverbial ’dog with a bone’ when it comes to topics that’ll set em off on a good moan or rant , no matter how long ago it was the subject matter and discussion had run their course they will just NOT let go of it . The problems with TaiwanGun thread for example is a classic demonstration ? Think it’s safe to say we ALL know there ps an above average chance if you buy from abroad the boarder agency/DHL/Parcelfarce/etc are going to bend you over the table and nail you from behind AND not even have the good manners to offer a reach around ! BUT we still moan and bitch about it ! 🤦‍♂️😁

1st , Welcome to the forum ! 2nd , do not ask for advice on “what am best gun to buy ?” On the internet ! 🤦‍♂️ 😂😂 seriously you will not get a definitive answer to your question on any online platform , all the answers you get will be very biased and you’ll even get some people giving advice when they’ve never even seen the what ever let alone owned one BUT because their friends/brothers/girlfriends/cousins/neighbours/aunties/dog walkers son has one they now think there an expert on the subject ! 😳 Your best bet is just look at what everyone else has at a game day , see which you like the look off then ‘respectfully’ ask the owners about it and I guarantee you’ll not be able to shut them up about it AND most will let you have a play as well as all airsofters love having there egos stroked by someone drooling over our toys ! 🥴 PS the two you’ve named are both really good guns made by reputable manufacturers and are very much of a “both as good as each other so go with the one you like the look of the most” level of guns .👍

Nothing too spectacular , actually found some VN mags for sale in the UK ! So got a a 190 hi-cap and couple of 20rd ‘real’ caps to stick in when I’m re-loading the hi-cap to go with my N’am kit .

A VERY long time ago was at a gameday and a player who’d won a mini gun had it presented to him , i think it was from landwarrior(but probably wrong!) any hoo he gets given the mini gun all big smiles , see him again a couple of mths later ask him if he still had it to which he replied ; “f**k no ! Agree AND disagree , totally agree TM really do sit on there reputation when it comes to the externals of there guns , the plastic/wood furniture is shocking . BUT as you said they are among the best out of the box and as long as there no F**king around with them internally they will stay that good for an awful long time , not many other brands can say that . Gas is better but again only in the right environment , think there pretty pointless on an open scurmish day when everyone else is running more BB’s in one game than you could in an entire day , we may have the satisfaction of the boom and clunk of a bolt reciprocating each time we pull the trigger but first time player with his rental is still gonna own you with his 600rd AK hi-cap in the end .

I hate these things on so many levels , you go in to a shop looking for some ‘full fat’ coke and it’s like your looking for a bottle of freshly squeezed baby blood ! “Oohh cokes bad for you it’s full of sugar !” BUT it’s absolutely fine to have racks full of all the brands of ‘energy’ drinks you want ? have you seen the contents of those cans of poison in comparison ? 500ml bottle of coke has 50gs of sugar(12 teaspoons worth !) and 60mg of caffeine . That’s basically it . 500ml can of monster has 54gs of sugar(13 teaspoons) and 160mg of caffeine ! BUT that’s not all it also has artificial sweeteners in it(WTF ?) plus it has Ginseng/Guarana seed extract/L-Carnitine&L-Tatrate in it which are all fast release stimulants and the last two are pure chemical ones which have proven links to heart arithmia in under 25’s ! plus the hydration value of all the energy drinks is much lower than of ‘bog standard’ fizzy drinks due to the increase of cardiac output associated with the stimulants which will cause you to sweat more and so loose more body fluid .

Now for me this is the very truth of the hobby I try to avoid , if I let this truth out of its box I’m never gonna buy a gun I like the look off ever again id just run the simplest M4 with a box mag and that’ll be it ! When I choose a new gun(immaterial if it’s ‘new’ or 2/3/4th hand or what ever) I have to like the look of it first , if I need to ‘tweak’ it a bit for optimum performance ? That’s not a problem I will do something with it if I have too . I’ve always been ‘form over function’ with all my guns .

I picked up a ‘who knows who made it’ one off Fleabay for my JG SD MP5 and it fitted fine .

Think this is the main reason I’ve got 30+ Airsoft guns 😉

No simply commenting on what we’ve all seen occur at some time or another , low FPS but range and accuracy fair to ok , change to a stronger spring but everything else remains the same and suddenly range and accuracy goes to rat shit . It happens .
