Oh lord. You have a nice budget there, just for the airsoft gun? Or for BBs, face mask etc If just for the airsoft gun, for around 200 ish you can get yourselves a nice ICS gun (I actually have one, and from what I can say, is fairly good, had on problem but, sorted that out.) http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-metaltan-m4-ris-airsoft-gun-aeg that's the one I have, I also have another ICS gun, but it's a different model. I'm sure someone will give a better gun than what I have suggested, just look at some other G&G weapons, maybe from zeroone. I am lol. I'm planning to take a picture of a star trail, which will need some photoshop editing.. But, should be good. One thing I've realised is that for this picture, I'll need the camera taking constant pictures for 30 minutes. The shutter speed will be at 30 sec, aperture and ISO will be set. So after the first picture is taken, the camera will need to take another pic, and so on, till 30 minutes or so have gone by. How can I get the camera to keep taking pictures, I know there's like some remote things, but meh. If I hold the 'take the picture' button for 30 mins that would work right? I'd use duct tape to hold it down maybe.. Thanks.

Before anyone says the usual "airbana" stuff. I've looked there, and had a look through the sites around east anglia. Ones I've played at are tuddenham and ravens. I prefer tuddenham and because of this, I only really want to play games at tuddenham, ravens is just a massive forest, and I never seem to get any action. What other decent sites are there in east anglia? Anyone know of some sites that you play/played at? Thanks.

Hey guys, I realised, months before I attempted airsoft, my brother bought a RIF, to play with, he bought it second hand... He wasn't signed up to UKARA, or wasn't on the UKARA database, so he owns a RIF without a UKARA number, if I go to a skirmish, will the airsoft site ask "have you got a UKARA number" or will they ask us? We are in process in getting the UKARA, but, it takes time. Thanks.

One thing to bear in mind. Is it's quite an expensive sport.. You'll probably end up buying a gun, presuming you like airsoft, then you'll want either a different type of gun, different model, maybe a different style of gun (sniper, DMR) then upgrades. Then you break something, then you fix it, then you break again, then you buy a new gun, then you want scopes, red dots.. But, it's great fun, I find that I can't play too often, as I'm waiting for some money to buy of which is essentially an 'upgrade', so I just set up some cans in the garden... That's generally fun, and gets some use out of the guns.. Welcome to airsoft and the forums, it's a good place to be, and a good forum to be in. Have fun.

Yeah, haha, made me laugh. What I should of made this whole thread about is, "do you think this setup of clothing would be good" not "here's a chance to ruin me, and call me a ponce" lol.. Thinking - a UBACS top with a baselayer (under armour thing, but no padding) and a fleece, this way, I stay warm, I will definately feel my hits, and still get hurt. As I think that feeling of 'I know what it feels like to be hit' makes you play more sneaky.. Instead of running in like a banana out of its skin.. I probably won't invest in a PC.. Yeah, I don't know when I'll next be at a tuddenham game... Waiting for some money to get this SDiK for the vsr. Otherwise you'll see a 5ft 2 inches dude with a ICS CXP.. Hopefully I'll see some guys at tuddenham next game... Potentially see you there, are you regularly playing there now? I remember you had your first match there like a month ago or something.. It's not the "I hate the pain, it's unbearable" as I've been shot up lots of times.. It's more the 'hard to play other sport' problem. Thanks for suggesting that top, but I'll just stick with the UBACS (I think it's called) top, with maybe a baselayer skin thing and a fleece, which is not as thick as a hoodie, so won't sweat me out like a pig. Yeah it's all fun and stuff, and a few comments being jokes is cool. But when all the comments are 'jokes' I don't think it's that funny, specially when I was seeking some advice. I woke up this morning, and saw the replies, saw the first bit of banter, and I laughed, them saw all the other comments, and they were mostly the same. When I was seeking some advice, and the advice was needed, and without the advice I'd carry on playing football in stress, with all the sweat mixing into an open wound. And I play football 5 times a week... But yeah. Apart from that. Everything is cool. lol. OR maybe I'm missing the whole point, and I'm meant to play airsoft without a top on.. Thanks.

This was what I was looking for. Just little bits of advice, that will just turn the welts a tiny but smaller. Not the piss take answers. Albeit funny, not what I was really looking for. And we're quite spiteful. But never mind, thanks for the help.

Some people have misunderstood me.. I don't mind the welts, but not on such a large scale. It makes my football (which is my number 1 hobby ) hard to play. And I did not mean wearing a coat.. If you read, I said I'd wear a very thin baselayer, a t shirt, and a fleece. And the fleece is not thick at all. Last time I played, I used a t shirt, and that was it. Was it worth the large welts? No. I'm not going to wear a flipping coat lol... And what maybe I didn't get across, is, it'd be easier for me, if I reduced the welt size just by a little bit, just so it was easier for me to play football. Airsoft isn't my only hobby, since I can't play the game much, I don't want my other hobbies being harder to play.. Thanks. EDIT: I think it could've been one of my grand parents who had something called "von Willebrand". Which is something like you bleed easier than normal people, and they may have weak blood vessels, hence they bruise a lot. If it is genetic, then I have a chance of inheriting.

I was in swim class, about to do some swimming, and just before I got into the pool, my mate said (I will word it exactly as he said it) "Wtf is that big red spot. You look like a baboon" I'm not a baboon, and this made me very sad Jokes aside - I don't really want these large welts.. What do you guys do to minimise the welts? It's also annoying, as I do a lot of "pussyball" as a lot of you call it on here (ok, football) and this results in me sweating, and sweat contains salt, salt & open wound = not good. I know I could just wear layers, or buy a vest. But I just want to hear what you do. Personally, I think one of those baselayer/skin things, along side a t shirt, fitted with a fleece (the fleece isn't that thick, it's not a hoodie) would be good. Thanks guys.

I understand your point. The thing I don't get, is how it slots in. Could I possibly see a picture of you've got one stored on your device. If not, don't worry, it's not fair for you to take a picture, just describe it as best as possible, I am a little confused. Thanks very much.
