  1. haha, not stressing, can see myself turning up in a suit or armour a this rate!...... * ping *ping clunk have wondered the 'what if shot there on a Saturday, my evening wont be as fun' haha
  2. so now i need padded pants and top! haha ok, slight change to look.....
  3. i hear ya! Ive learnt that from this forum that the underlining factor is 'its all about having fun, meeting new friends etc', some people you'll get on with, some you wont.....end of the day, its a little bb your firing at someone who may be wearing pink camo or the most upto date multimtpcamogromcam-fg....but still sticks out like a sore thumb!...because most of us are there for the enjoyment not trying to blend into a brcikwall!
  4. on the topics of helmets and you guys who use them, and to save me starting a new topic after searching! (feel free to split mods if required) 8fields helmets here, any good,, ok cheaper than some but look ok...for my use http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-head-protection/8fields-tactical-fast-helmet-w-velcro-top-panels-tan.htm#.VcrzKvlVhBc ok they have other options on site.... BUT are these add ons here likely to fit or are they geared more towards Emersongear helmets? like the idea of removing bits, especially the ear side panels...its all about customisation http://hwairsoft.com/airsoft-ops-core-mich-af-tactical-helmet-front-guard-protector-tan-sand-cb-uk/ http://hwairsoft.com/airsoft-ops-core-tactical-helmet-tan-sand-de-mich-blt-jump-side-panels-uk-rail/ advice from you guys is proving invaluable!
  5. haha, cheers, im assuming its slightly different shades to Multicam but has rounded edges as well unlike MTP l quiet day at work for me
  6. thanks for this, i too want to keep my teeth but not comfy with the mask i have, although also protects my ears. as someone said, this area can take some time to get right, let me know how you get on with the masks
  7. Is this just Vipers version of Multicam but slightly different? seen a few items i was looking at but wasn't sure on how far apart they may be?
  8. Airsoft123....Avon cream, tell me more! haha Nickh, worse when your a newbie!
  9. got a 901 rig from them last week, with a discount so got back plate as well, cheaper than the plate carrier, but they were Out of stock....another day maybe . ordered Thursday late PM, arrived Friday by 10am!...only paid for 3-5 day as was at work so expected it Monday when at home...as in tomorrow! very impressed and will use them again!....now need to learn the MOLLE system on these pouches.....any advice or is it the same as others but with self locking and no poppers??
  10. 901 chest rig and pouches in Tan.....thanks UKT for the code....Thanks others who pushed me that way!! hahaha best to buy when discounts are on, can always sell on or to brother or ebay later!
  11. i take it you dont have decent NVG's for that extra look!.....or do you?!
  12. nothing special really... Ubacs top and trousers - MTP Ubacs top and trousers - Camogram Khaki - Shorts...another pair, .like my SFU trousers that much thought id go for a cooler summer version in CPU style....great when kids want you to look after stuff from the beach... hobbit trilogy for wife...but not the right forum.
  13. my son has a kids MTP outfit if you want it??.....
  14. yeah i know what you mean..... i am however looking to get some 'clothing' only from abroad then hopefully i will stop...for a while....children and wife do help as they need to be fed and watered!
  15. i'll take that and keep it in my wallet!! ive been told 'as long as you give me notice your going it will be ok'.............that will be once a year then! hoping this topic will populate quicklly so im prepared sooner than later being new blood!
  16. yeah was first game, few of the other newbs with me just had general winter gloves, one had stuff he uses for paint ball... ive learnt my lesson and will be investing a little more! haha thank god ive got paid!
  17. yep, some good advice!, i only have a pair of viper gloves, nothing special but they were just for 'protecting' my hands from debris ect more than hits...as i found out from abut 5m @ UA!!
  18. the Gerber Recon?, with twist dial, have one in the car so my wife can read a map and check on kids in back at night if needed!, nice little torch
  19. agree there, they make some really nice stuff and id love a few of them, but yeah for airsoft and the chance of me damaging it, I'm with you on looking at alternatives!, a lot has changed, well ive seen, over the years
  20. interesting read, all good for future purchases! years ago, Surefirre were the buzzword from memory, how so much has changed in the last few or so years liking the Surefire M600C clone
  21. cheers guys, crossed that off the list, now to look at the warrior range more in-depth while i have time.... that's what's good with the forum, been on many of various types, even some of the early airsoft ones (still got a kevlar helmet off some guy for some reason and some old vests in US woodland...not sure why haha!), you get advice from the masses! , ok, you know what i mean but you get everyone's opinion to take in whether you want to hear it or not and that's good as it could save you a lot of stress and hassle down the line and helps* others !....plus i wanna make sure i get good value for money so need some advice from the pros! my bro can go for the cheaper ones as he seems to borrow my stuff anyway..... * spelling, it was early and im at work so in a rush!
  22. cheers guys, not done it! awaiting an email from UKT about some vests, its the size im worried about but will see got it, camo bottom, other colour top....tbh, it will prob be all out!! I think ive seen the clone but i'll take a look anyway, little bro may want it
  23. cheers for that, have a cheap black balaclava and a tan headover to use, only a cap so far on head, looking into that, boonie possibly or the usual helmet, still a learning curve for me!.... so much whizzing around me head!
  24. i have a pair of nuprol mesh goggles/glasses http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-glasses-and-goggles/we-europe-nuprol-shades-mesh-glasses-eye-protection-black.htm#.Vbh8kPlVhBc http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-glasses-and-goggles/we-europe-nuprol-pro-mesh-goggles-eye-protection-black.htm#.Vbh8pPlVhBc found the glasses to small for my fat had, so may give them to my son to play in at home..... only my first game but im possibly going to try lens goggles next to see if my vision is any better instead of looking through mesh? Prefer full eye protection as you know a ricochet is going to get me in the side of my eye! for my face, i didnt want to use the hire face masks as stated above and i wasnt keen on them, i knew id go back so invested and as my brother and friends told me on the day, they sweated in them so went for this, http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/half-face-airsoft-protection/8-fields-mesh-lower-face-ear-protection-tan.htm#.Vbh9RPlVhBc all good on the day, just need to get used to it. Can hurt towards then end on the bridge of the nose but someone menstioned adding padding to it only trouble i did have was i couldn't look down the sights very well, may just be me and the M4 i had on the day any other ear protection out there people know about? with the goggles to buy next i'll look at maybe neoprene type masks for some ear protection and a lower face mask?...like others i dont want to loose teeth! Is there alternative protection for ears? as mentioned, trial and error is the way, but for eyes, make sure they can stand up to it and not some cheap lensed versions, you dont get another set of eyes so one area you should take seriously
