Hey, I got a Cyma CM355 abs version this morning. It is a cheap spring shotgun but it is a nice (not so) little thing! Doesn't have the hassle of gas and shoots FAR. Mind you I live in Italy where the limit for any airsoft replica is 0.99j, but this thing shoots as far as an AEG

Bloody hell, this place is only about 5 miles away. What a piece of luck... Spoke to the guy on the phone and I will pop there with my MP5 in a couple of days to get a couple of batteries. Bargain.

No offence taken at all mate, I'm here to learn... Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm a pussy who doesn't want to get hurt, and especially not see my son get hurt. He's far too expensive to replace... Cheers Rick. And yep stupidly is far too common these days. Far too common. -

The issue that I haven't seen mentioned is that whilst yes your intention was to show a cheap bargain and use them outside of airsoft games - A person could see them posted here, not read the rest of the context, go out to Lidl and buy a set, rock up to airsoft and then their next post is "I bought goggles I saw on an airsoft page and now I have 1 eye - It's all their fault!!!" Extreme? Yes, however stupidity is everywhere 😂 Roughly nine years ago my at the time regular site had a chap rock up with some cheap safety glasses (Think the type that comes with those £20 springer and BB bundles) who assumed as it was bought from an airsoft (More so hobby store where they sell samurai swords etc too, you know the types I'm sure!) store that they would be fine to use. He was walking back to respawn and had got a stray BB hit his glasses, shatter them and LUCKILY the BB hit just under his eye. I saw him again maybe 6 months later and he was still having trouble with where the BB had hit him and it had caused damage still. He tried to sue the site for negligence (It didn't go very far obviously) but it put the site owner at risk, all because he didn't do his due diligence and ensure he had correct safety gear. There's more to it than just you getting hurt. Imagine if you was the player that had shot at someone, not expecting to hit their eye protection (BB's aren't exactly known to go exactly where you want them to 99% of the time) and the next thing you know the dude you've just shot is on the floor screaming in pain because his cheap eye pro broke and now he has plastic splinters in his eye ball - That would be traumatic for everybody I reckon 😂 The site owners would also have to fill out an incident form for their insurance, which then puts that cost up for them. Sadly most sites are struggling financially as it is in this day and age, the last thing they'd need is premiums going up too. One accident from misjudgement or poor decision making from an individual can spiral into a big ordeal. I hope I don't come across as rude or targeting towards you as that's not my intention at all, I genuinely just don't want to see people getting hurt outside of "Ouch the BB hit me and it stung" 😂 -

My father and I used to shoot air rifles and airsoft guns in the back garden with no eye protection whatsoever, so you're already doing one better than we did 😂 -
I run a couple of grab bags (1 black, 1 OD), not the issue type, small bucket bags with molle on both sides & the ends, larger taco's on one side, smg taco's on the other, twin pistol on one end & twin 40mm on the other (which handily takes a bfg & small gas reservoir can). Main compartment takes nalgene water, chocky, spare goggs & battery, what more do you need ?. Perfect 👌 (Obviously I own about a million other rigs that invariably never get used lol) 😱

Long as I haven't offended anyone... 😆 I have no intention of letting anyone shoot at me with lidl eyewear, they were only for target shooting. But I do get and accept the honest and decent advice. Thanks. On a different note, I brought the CYMA blue edition mp5 for sale on here and am very excited... Can't wait. -

Eye protection is something you should never cheap out on. I buy loads of stuff from Aliexpress (because it's great), but I will never buy eye protection from there, even though my general experience on the stuff I have bought from Aliexpress has been fantastic. For eyepro, I bought a pair of sawflys, a pair of heroshark's mesh goggles, and will get some Trittech glasses in the future. As I need prescription inserts, all of these options I think went into the triple digits since prescription inserts are pricey (the Trittechs will go into the multiple triple digits...), but 100% worth every penny. -

Thanks Nick. Was it easy to convert to HPA? Do you need to add anything to the HPA tank to keep the gun lubricated? I thought (green) gas had silicone lube in the gas to keep everything running smoothly. This is my first GBB and I am struggling with the lack of ammo capacity. It came with 3 mags and I have been burning through the 130 rounds in 15 mins so need to use ammo more sparingly which is difficult as I am used to carrying 6 x 120 round mid caps for a 2 hour woodland game. I agree with the immersion side, I moved from a 1200 round drum on the AEG to 6 x mid caps as I enjoy the mag changes and keeping an eye on how much ammo I’ve used. Someone kindly let me have a go with their G3 which I almost bought but decided I wanted something smaller and lighter, also the G3 mags were only 20mm rounds each and he carried 10 mags which weighed a ton, more realistic I suppose. I thought I would be able to hold my trigger finger back but the apache is so much fun to shoot and I like to get stuck in so I am burning through BB’s at the same rate as I do with my electric MP5. Do I slowly build up to have 8/10 45 round mags or go drum? Decisions, decisions.

I never get bored of seeing an issue grab bag, ha. If you sit and look at it, there's a significant carrying capacity there. Like you'd need a decent sized chest rig to have 3 mag pouches, 2 frag, a smoke and maybe 2 med-large GPs and an admin pouch for the generic internal space of it. Might have to start being one of the recommendations for newbies - one and done gear purchase right there, no assembly required.

It's a topic that gets discussed often in any good forum/arena of airsoft talk, end of the day safety is the #1 priority in anything and most certainly in this hobby. I know I'll always say the same things others have said here any time it comes up, partly for the people involved but also for the many, many lurkers who just read the forum but don't post (usually on most sites there are actually way more pure readers than posters). The hobby has a real 'churn' of new players and people leaving, so any time eye pro comes up I find that most people with an enthusiasm for airsoft will want to get involved with conversation even though it's been said a lot before, because it always needs bringing back up to the forefront to stay in people's view; as it were. -
Hi everyone, I'm new to airsoft etc. I'm an old sod in my early 60s, but feel like I'm 21. Got into airsoft etc around a 4 years ago when I got a spec-ops sniper air rifle and my collection is slowly growing. My latest addition is the vorsk vmp x1 that I have just purchased from the classifieds section on here. Mark

Hi Baser, it's ok . I've actually hpa taped it so I can run the the MP5 on a tank in the colder months and like that it works well . It's fine filled with green gas too , but in honesty I prefer using the stick mags since i see limited shots and mag changes as part of the imersive GBB play style . That said if a game demands a spray and pray style then the drum is better .
