I’m currently running a Baofeng uv-5r, and it’s never let me down plus it’s universally used throughout the Airsoft universe.

BUT, Having just spotted these, for maybe £50-£60 is it any good?

I believe it’s 10w as opposed to the 5w 5r

I don’t think I need more wattage, I’m just tempted with the mil-spec appearance (tart that I am)

Anyone running one?

I don’t have one but considered it same as you did - from a friend who does have one they don’t differ performance wise, but will give you the larger ‘152-style’ radio to stick in a pouch 👍🏼

Yeah,

After I posted, I watched a couple of reviews on it.

Seems to be the exact same as the uv-5r just in a Harris “style” outer but with a much larger capacity battery.

I suppose the good thing is that it is also compatible with all of my current comms accessories like ptt, antenna , headset etc

"BOOF-WHANGGGGG"

I like his style :)

He embedded a couple of frames of text, I had to read what it said...
