C-Diddy
I'm currently waiting on delivery of my first AK; a Cyma CM042. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but I've wanted a bog standard, no frills wood and metal AK for a while and this seemed a decent place to start. I want to get a few spare mags, naturally, and again, would prefer to have traditional, metal AK mags. I'm not a fan of hi-caps though, so can anyone recommend any compatible metal mid-caps, and any stockists? I'm drawing a blank. Thanks

Thanks My AKM/47 midcaps are all G&P, and I can confirm they worked well in my old CM028S https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gp-ak47-metal-mid-cap-magazine-150-rnd https://www.airsoftzone.co.uk/ak47-magazine-150rnd-mid-cap-gp.html PB also have these, though I cant speak to their compatibility with CYMA - I imagine they would work. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/e-and-l-airsoft-ak47-120rnd-mid-cap-magazinehttps://www.patrolbase.co.uk/lct-lck47-130rnd-metal-mid-cap-magazine
BigStew
could just go CYMA https://www.davescustomairsoft.co.uk/CYMA-AK74-Metal-Mid-Cap
C-Diddy
@Zarrin thanks for that. I'd seen the ones on PB but wasn't sure about compatibility. I'll check them out. @BigStew I'll check to see if the AK74 mags are interchangeable with AK47s. Shouldn't see an issue. Thank you

Please no... don't do that, please be considerate to the fellow AK purists at your local field. C-Diddy
Right, the orange Bakelite mags are a non-runner with me. The 74 mags from Fubar at £10 a pop are worth a punt. I am tempted to get the E&L mags on PB as well, just to see. Thanks for your help. Hopefully the gun itself will be arriving tomorrow
HuttArmouries
I use a mix of e&l and cyma mags. E&l mags are nicer but they both work fine.

Stratton Oakmont
The springs on E&L mags are shi*te i had some magpul plastic p mags that eventually died(the front mag lip was plastic and wore) where it rocked in) I swapped the springs and they are golden now
Lollingsgrad
Stick a Cyma in a Cyma, no point in taking chances with compatibility when the best option is also the cheapest. The model you want is a Cyma C.71. Seems to be sold out everywhere right now but you can still import, https://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/amp/p18907/len/airsoft/product_info.html Even if you get tagged by customs it'll probably still be cheaper anyway. May just bite the bullet and get polymer
