Also using a scorpion evo. Would the mags fit in these?
Guest PT247
Scorpion Evo mags are an odd size, but iirc from mine you can fit 3 Evo mags in a double M4 mag pouch
Elts7
Oh okay. Dodnt know if the vest above would fit them
Guest PT247
best option for a vest if you must have a vest is to buy a plain molle one then add pouches that you need rather than buy a generic. I don't wear a vest, at most I use a chest rig. If the only reason is for somewhere to put your mags then you could even do it with a belt and just buy a double M4 mag pouch for every 3 Evo mags you have! Elts7
Okay ill have a look. Aunty Pasty
I've got something similar but I don't wear it anymore. I'm wearing a molle chest rig with mag pouches these days. In general the vest works ok but if you're really short (less than 5'6" say) you may not find the adjustments enough to be comfortable. If you use a heavy pistol, it will tend to pull the holster down and forwards and may get in the way. Also if you mostly play woodland, I'd suggest going for green or tan rather than black. Just didnt know if theres any branda i should look for Tac vests can be hot so bear that in mind. I used one for my first load bearing setup (one of these, in fact http://www.military1st.co.uk/10712102-mil-tec-tactical-vest-modular-system-black.html ). As a starting point, it was pretty reasonable but the clips break easily and the pouches are a bit "Jack of all trades". Being a MOLLE vest though you can change them for ones that are better made/more useful. Any cheap Tac vest will suffer from similar issues and if you spend the money on a Blackhawk one then you'd probably be better off spending the same amount on a proper chest rig or plate carrier setup. Elts7
Okay ill look into it further. Wanted a vest as i dont like having heavy extra on me and i like them to be snug. I dont like how bulky plate carries and rigs can be but a vest seems like a better option

Wanted a vest as i dont like having heavy extra on me and i like them to be snug. I dont like how bulky plate carries and rigs can be but a vest seems like a better option Unless you put actual plates in a plate carrier, there's not much of a substantial difference between most PCs and most old-school vests. A modern PC like a JPC is, if anything, far less bulky than a non armour-carrying vest. Also, nobody uses those cross-draw rigs anymore for a good reason and I'll guarantee you 99% of new players who buy one (and a lot of new players do buy one) move on from them very, very quickly indeed; generally over to a PALS/MOLLE platform. 8Fields, Mil-Tec and the like generally... well I'd say avoid them because while a lot of it is ok, you can get better quality stuff for less money by shopping around. As a rule of thumb, don't buy gear from a RIF retailer, go to an actual gear retailer or trawl ebay for good 2nd hand deals and issued kit. If you find yourself thinking 'wow, a multicam plate carrier with loads of pouches included for only £25, what a bargain', it's not a bargain, it's just really, really terrible stuff that you will use for a few games then want to upgrade when you see how much better Warrior Assault Systems is. If you want simple and effective, at a good quality to price ratio, you can't beat one of these - http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/odtav2nx.html As mentioned, Evo mags fit in to 30round 556 (M4/L85 etc) mag pouches, that's what I use as SMG pouches for more common sub guns like the MP5 tend to come up too small. Slightly higher end alternative - http://www.uktactical.com/p-7530-warrior-light-assault-rig-coyote-tan.aspx Any BULLE or Warrior gear is made from quality materials, I've never seen any that was poorly stitched and it'll likely last longer than you play airsoft. Every brand has the odd dudd, but those 2 are superb bang for the buck and if you ever do have a problem, Flecktarn and UK Tac will sort you out no worries. I dont like how bulky plate carries and rigs can be but a vest seems like a better option PCs and vests don't have to be bulky. And if they're adjusted correctly then they should certainly be snug (mine is). Maybe something like the Condor Recon chest rig? http://www.military1st.co.uk/mcr5-002-condor-recon-chest-rig-black.html
Elts7
Might look into that condor one more. Looking for a black setup ideally and that doesnt look to bulky either
Ajax
If you need something "just for now" get one of the cheap and cheerful from eBay. You can get them for less than £15. And then as other suggested you will find out what you like / dislike about it. Probably you will find it to be too hot, bulky, heavy and you will be looking for belt or a webbing. I start with webbing and now I plan to go to belt as running up and down the stairs with loaded webbing in CQB is killing me I am getting old
