What a bellend. Even if it was a good price his attitude puts me off buying anything from him

My work here is done.  What a cockwomble.  He was even commenting on his own sales post wondering why noone was buying his overpriced offerings.

As I tried telling him 80-85% of retail is not the accepted norm here, add to that:

1.  GHK AK QC issues

2.  Its not a rarity so doesn't merit extra

3.  TM and VFC offerings are much better and cheaper

4.  Its Xmas and the market is flooded with people trying to offload gas guns

5.  The mere act of opening brand new parts and putting them in a gun means that they are used, I don't care if they have been placed there by the Virgin Mary herself, you cannot charge new prices.

6.  His payment method left people open to being ripped off.

Oh and his annoying way of trying to word everything precisely plus the claim of being a Professor when he lives in a shithole in Romford all made me want to wind him up even more.

@TackleHes redone the advert without applying the new rule 5, ban?  In fact hes done it on all his ads

I'll never understand why a "friend" can go to the time, expense and effort of upgrading their airsoft guns but creating their own account to sell them is such back-breaking work that can be considered a war crime.

I'm guessing it's so when they inevitably get called out on their ridiculous prices they can blame the "friend"

What's that phrase? "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar."

His anger and resentment are aimed at the wrong people. Fair enough that he's pissed off about being let down by Paypal after being fleeced out of guns he'd shipped before but why take that out on prospective buyers.

Even if he listed something of interest to me, I'd buy elsewhere and pay more not to deal with his attitude.

Add to all this the fact that he wants you to trust him even though no one knows the cnut from Adam, I mean, that’s reasonable, right?

What is this bloke smoking with all this BS??

But, to quote him to me, you have no feedback and know nothing of the second hand market where condition is the main factor of price.......LOL

That's the thing though, the only person he's been let down by is himself. If he's posted something which has got lost it's down to him to claim for it from the courier. If PayPal didn't give the buyer a refund when said parcel didn't arrive then they could be dropping themselves in it.

Of course if he chose to either not buy the extra insurance or sent it via a courier who don't take rifs then it's his own stupid fault.

All this is assuming we're getting the whole story which I'd bet we're not

Not sure if the extras and upgrades warrant this being 90% of the retail price but wanting £20 for shipping is taking the piss

Is it? We were lambasting that other fella for losing a RIF through the post but I'd wager shipping something this size, with appropriate insurance, will run you £20 from plenty of couriers.

As we all know parcelforce 48 is the only courier who will take rifs and according to their website a parcel of that size and weight will cost a touch over half that to post

IMO painting the RIF (unless it's still flawless) lowers value as well. The fact it's painted will turn people away. It'll turn even more away that the paint is pretty scuffed up.

I'd expect it to be priced accordingly - i'd be surprised if this sold in it's current condition though they could be pricing it highly and being open to offers so they get better offers?

I think insured postage from PF48hour is ~£13 or something?

Really? I just whacked in a 3kg 60cm for a 48hr signed for delivery insured to £350 into the PF quote website and it's quoted me £20.45...

Maybe you guys are seeing something I'm not.

You are correct. Anything over £300 is £20.45 unless it requires the "large" service but most airsoft RIFs wont.

TBH I dont think i've sold anything over £200.

Unless they've changed their terms, there's no point buying the insurance with PF since, as far as I remember, RIFs are excluded from the extended insurance cover
I'd be surprised if they even gave you the £150 in the standard cover they offer for any lost rifs

£15 for postage is a good max to charge for one rif, with a few quid spare to soak up some paypal fees
Only time it's cost me £20 to ship is when there's been 3 rifs in one shipment, weight was just under 30kg in total

Who knows, maybe they are quoting with insurance added 🤷‍♂️
