Hi all...

I need to value a pistol for possible sale. It's a hfc, with a single mag and is standard apart from a marui hop rubber, nine ball gas router and as soon as it arrives, nine ball cylinder head. The pistol has been fully striped and serviced.

The stand is unfinished, but will be flat black. It will also have a kydex holster just as soon as the kydex arrives.

The paint job isn't just piled on... The slide was originally black and blue, then grey and black but has been stripped back to bare metal, with krylon primer, base and top coats. I think that's about all the is to tell.

So gun, 1 mag, stand, kydex holster... What's it worth?

How much is a HFC P226 brand new?

'Cos people are unlikely to risk buying one second hand for any more than they could just buy a new one, regardless of what's been done to it, or what the extras are.

Same goes for any other airsoft gun. People would sooner buy one new than risk getting conned in a second hand sale. It's like playing deal or no deal, weighing up the risk.

So £99 new, you'd get about 60% of the original price on second hand if it's in good condition, regardless of upgrades, unless it's had a major overhaul and is something really special. So, I'd say £60-£70 probably, maybe £80 tops.

Yeah... Looks that a kydex holster and stand doesn't attract much additional value... May as well keep the bits and sell just the pistol.

60ish seems about the going rate.

Cheers all.
