DEDSEC Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Don't think there is much difference between the first and second gun you've linked. First one is your typical M4 that everyone and their mothers have and the second one is a HK M416 which is a little bit more unique and seen less than your standard M4. I personally would go for the M416 as it just looks delightful. However you will hear people saying get the CM16 as it's a great starter weapon and you can upgrade it etc but it's down to you.
team flex Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 just a heads up: I recommend this for boots: http://www.cadetdirect.com/bulling-polish-cadet-socks/cadet-boots-shoes/cadet-patrol-boots very comfortable, I use them myself. with the battery I use that one its a beast, and if you want to save postage look up the turnigy accucel 6, I believe it is a clone but it is just as good on component shop btw I use it very good imo.

Which of my options would you get?
Airsoft_Mr B Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I'd say go for the 416. The Boogie Regulators are awesome, they won't steam up if you keep moving. I'm going to get some myself. I don't know if they will fit with the metal mesh half face mask though. Shemaghs will mean your eye pro is more likely to steam up so I would say go for the scrim net scarf, I think if you wrap it around your face enough it should be enough protection. If you look on the websites they should tell you their rules on full face masks and ages. I know F&O allow U18s because I went to their Heywood site before it closed down If you use eye pro and some lower face protection like the mesh half face mask it probably will count as full face. I guess it means you can't just use a shemagh or something (must have some hard protection like mesh or a neoprene / cordura face mask thingy) Nice to see another Yorkshire airsofter Manchester woodland will probably be my local site once I start airsofting again. There's also Alpha One Airsoft - near Dewsbury way IIRC. Fugi94 1

DEDSEC Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 So you recommend stretch my budget a bit and getting hk m416 ? I personally would. Just nicer to see something other than your standard M4 you know? Plus it has plenty of rail space and the flexibility to make a DMR loadout with it?
Fugi94 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Thanks guys which of the two chargers is better ? And will the battery work with the t4-18
Happy Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Nice choice on the Boogie Regulators, I have a pair myself and only had them steam up once - even then that was because someone had just chucked water at me.
Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 17, 2014 Supporters Posted August 17, 2014 Just gonna roll out and say there's no such thing as a M416, it's a HK416. M416 was invented by Dice for their Battlefield games because they couldn't get licensing from H&K to call it a HK416. Please stop. Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies, JamesAirsofterAgent and Esoterick 3

Fugi94 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 I read the waiver insurance for f&o and it says you must have a one piece full face protection( for u16). Could I come to a agreement with them?

Happy Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Worth asking them. Last time I was at the towers under 18s could use goggles and a half mask as protection, but other sites may not be so lenient.
Fugi94 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Ok thanks it's just that there seem to be no quality one piece protection and glasses and and mesh half face just looks cooler!

Look harder. There's LOADS of high quality full face options available, search for paintball masks. Airsoft_Mr B 1
Fugi94 Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 What do the other u18 users of this forum wear Would be good to get personal recommendations Is mesh a good option? I would put shooting glasses underneath
GingerBreadMan Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I'm under 18 and personally I have ESS ICE glasses with a mesh lower mask. At my site this is fine but you may need to check with yours. Also at my site they allow under 18s to wear just glasses or goggles if their parent gives consent to the marshals on the day.

Airsoft_Mr B Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Anybody use f&o under 18 ? http://www.firstandonlyevents.co.uk/first-and-only-rules/ Tells you here minimum age and so on. I said in one of my previous posts I have been to one of their sites before and I'm 16.
