Monkey - a shot gun was an ecsmple, i could use a remote on/off switch to trigger the uhhh trigger lol, I'd need something like an M249 with box mag to eliminate mag changes unless I can find a way around it

Brotherwood - drones have been done and of things fail, it falls like a rock, I saw that video and tbh it doesn't impress me (knowing what happens when that sort of thing goes tits up)

That's why I'm thinking a vehicle, the sentry gun is an awesome idea, would need recognition software or just a camera to make sure your shooting the right people

I'm going to start drawing up ideas on the sentry gun as its an awesome project to try

    Easy enough to do

I could either do it using a transmitter to fire & move using the gearing system from a kids crane, I've done that for my rc recovery boat

    Or

Motion sensors with auto training and firing (I've got a mate who can write a program)

I've just been watching on youtube a ready made hummer with airsoft barrel on the back made by a company called ignite, the cars to noisey, the rotation and elevation are to slow but that's easily sorted

As I'm an rc car and boat racing/building enthusiast

I have an old 1/12 scale tank hull with everything in it (need to swap plastic gears to metal) and all working of 1 transmitter, wouldn't take me much to put a 'first person view' (fpv) unit onto it for looking around corners, in buildings etc

I'd love to combine my RC knowledge/background with airsofting

    Any thoughts/ideas people have

    Nick

Ps- I know people have used drones for aerial reconnaissance (at the sandpit) but you cant really get them in buildings

I don't think anyone needs to feel too guilt-stricken if they do post the odd mickey take review of course, since if any buyer just goes off one review, there's no denying that they are being a bit foolish (caveat emptor and all that bollox) but I'm sure we'd all agree that helping that geezer sell sh*t guns that will self destruct in a matter of weeks is a probably not a great service to mankind lol

They may indeed largely be a bunch of illiterate kiddies buying stuff and posting their crimes against grammar in the review sections, but I still would not want to post a bullshit review which might make some poor kid spend his or her carefully saved up paper round money on some piece of sh*t because they mistakenly believed a piss take review. Most of the reviews already look like a piss take to anyone who knows about airsoft, the only thing which would differentiate a bogus one from someone on here, would probably be the spelling and grammar being at least correct, even if the content of it was utter bollox. Yes it is amusing, but it might make some unsuspecting buyer think 'well at least this guy isn't a retard who can't spell, so I'll take his word for it'.

That site rips off enough people without our help in doing it, and despite the fact that much of the stuff sold there is indeed fairly cack, there is the odd decent item in amongst it all, so it would actually be more helpful to post something about one of the decent guns, whilst mentioning that most of the other stuff is not worth bothering about. After all, if we're going to be disparaging about the business, then helping the guy sell stuff to gullible people is hardly a smart thing to do. How do we know it isn't some kid's mum or dad reading our bogus recommendation, who knows little about the things, but wants to buy a present? Moreover, if we want people to join us in airsofting, then causing someone to be put off it right at the start, by having bought some piece of crap, is not exactly a cunning plan.

i cant tell, all the reviews seem like a comic parody and i'm worried if i read too many reviews i may turn orange or my penis shrink to barely half its reported length.

perhaps the 'project z' one which has as much of a link to zombies as a chance of shooting the reported 100m of the last review...

JamesAirsofterAgent reacted to GI Airsoft in WW2 Road to Rome 27-29 March - Great Westwood Quarry, Herts
Gunman Airsoft and Filmsim Events proudly presents...

D-Day – The Road to Rome
    £65 pre-booked or £85 for the weekend
£35 for the day if pre booked or £45 on the day
    (please see booking details below)
    March 27-29 2-15
    Great Westwood Quarry
    Old house lane
Hunton Bridge (just of the M25 Junction 19-20)

On October 5th 1944 the Allied assault on the gothic line became hampered by poor weather conditions, an unfriendly terrain and low ammunitions cost them dearly. Both the US 5th Army and the British 8th Army came to a halt. After a successful push by the US 30 corps with the British X111 Corps in support along route 65, all the German fixed defences have now been destroyed and the road to Bologna is open. Now the allied effort looks to the road to Rome as a quick way to turn the Italian, German Axis into disarray. Message has come back for a small recon unit of jeeps that the road is open and they have made it in to the capitol heart of their Italian enemy. Could this put and quick end to resistance and the folding up of the axis in southern Europe.

However, the beaten but by no means broken German 14th Armee has been re-enforced by a large number of SS and Fallschirmjager units and they are about push a counter attack which could cut off any chance of getting to Rome without a fight. Large units of allied vehicles are about to ‘go for it’ and none are ready for the surprise the Germans have in store for them.

This is a fictional story based on historical events…l

As well as the usual CPs in play, there will also be a list of key and secondary objectives for both sides, so be ready to be busy.
