  1. It's weird as the only hop rubber I've had any luck with is the stock TM one! The PDI W hold is also very good but it's pretty similar to the stock one. Slightly better in a tightbore maybe
  2. Interested to hear how you get on with the Nineball's! Ibought 2 just after Christmas and both are shite
  3. It allows you to adjust the fps by turning the thumbwheel. Very useful when the temperature on the day alters the fps. You can still adjust it but it involves dismantling the bolt and tightening or loostening the main spring but as the bolt is soft metal the thread wont last long.
  4. Tanaka M40A1, Spartan Doctrine Kit, PDI 6.05 554mm barrel, Lonex Hop for my P*, Bolle X800 Goggles, Division 6 Facemask
  5. Evenin' Right here's a question for you Sniper Rifle lovers, in particular the Tanaka owners. I've recently bought myself a lovely Post ban M40A1. Obviously it doesn't have the thumbwheel adjuster but I'm still able to achieve 500 fps by swapping out the nozzle for the Spartan one. I have a friend that has the Pre ban version and he's very kindly removed the adjuster to show me what it looks like. My question is why the hell has no-one made a copy of it! It's bloody simple if you know what you're doing.
  6. Impressive! I'd say my TM Scar can hit 50 (Maybe 60) meters with a bit of lobbing. I need to try one of these things for sure!
  7. Oh dear! I leave my thread for a day or so and look what happens You'll be alarmed to hear that I have no clue about a realistic looking gun and TBH I don't care! If someone told me that there was a rubber chicken that spewed BB's from it's mouth at 500fps and could hit a Jaffa cake at 100 meters i'd be the first one in the queue to buy it! Going back to the ORIGINAL TOPIC lol, What kind of accurate range can be achieved by the Krytac CRB stock?
  8. Every AEG I've owned has done the same! Including my TM Scar, however I worked out what the issue was. I've been using the wrong battery! I was running my Scar on a 7.4 1100mah lipo, switched it out for a 7.4 1450mah and its spot on! Basically the 1100mah can't discharge the power quick enough if I Snatch the trigger whereas the higher rated battery can!
  9. Just noticed you play at Worthing, is that where you handed your form in? If so there's two people you can ask: Wolfie now deals with taking the forms at Worthing but he gives them to Tasha at Dorking to "Log them in". Are you on Facebook? Pm either of them and ask if the form has been passed on
  10. I've been using .45 Proballs recently! If your hop can lift them then go for it! They're as different as a .43 is too a .4!
  11. Hehe, Cheers mate! Yeah, I'd certainbly like to do a side by side somparison between that and the Scar (I was running a 5x scope on that for the same reason)
  12. What's the accurate range though out of the box?
  13. Morning all, Right, here's my quandry.... I have a TM Scar L CQC, tbh I'm more of a sniper however occasionally I like to switch back to some full auto action. The Scar is a superb gun, out of the box it's hitting an A4 target at 50 meters so i've been more than happy with it! Add the fact that it had the cool bolt stop and recoil function it's a superb gun! However... The one thing that lets it down is the low fps. It's not about range, it's about the fact that i've lost shots down to people stepping to the side to avoid a BB. The other thing is the trigger response! Although it's pretty good I don't think it's as snappy as a lot of the more modern mosfet fitted AEG's Which brings me on to the: Krytac CRB. From hearing rave reviews and seeing how good they are out of the box I wondered how they compare in terms of performance? I realize you could say "Well, just put a TBB or a new spring in the Scar and get a Spectre 'Fet fitted" but then that's going to cost a fair bit whilst the CRB would probably just need a new inner barrel and hop rubber? Anyway... That's where I am, views appreciated
  14. I'm going to second (Third or whatever) the TM Hi Capa. Without a doubt it's the best pistol about, straight out of the box it'll hit an A4 target at 30 meters. It can take green gas all year round and if you want to modify it there's a world full of upgrades!
  15. Yep! All good, only thing I found was the Type B arm was too much for a .43 BB, ended up using an AA hop to achieve the correct hop. Now hitting 75 meters with a .45
  16. The advantages of the SDIK are a big argument tbh, It gives a shorter and lighter pull, by using a regulator the consistency is better, the volume matching seems to be good on a 430mm barrel so little joule creep and that's about it! I keep my EdGI VSR as my back up gun (Which is a better gun to be fair) For Sunday Skirmishes I can get more shots with the VSR in a short space of time. In the last 2 months of having it fitted I've averaged 30-40 hits per game which for me is really good!
  17. I have both, right here's my opinion lol GSPEC: Superb gun, the 330mm barrel it comes with is top notch! Silencer works and the bolt handle is much better than the VSR pro. Even barrel so spacing is easy. Pro: Slightly lighter and shorter than the GSPEC... That's it! I first off bought the GSPEC and had it upgraded by ASPUK, for 6 months it was awesome! I could hit targets at 90 meters and it was fun! However, I learned about the dreaded joule creep and that's when I realized that the GSPEC takes full advantage of JC to give it "Hidden power", I swapped the internals out a few times and currently I'm running a 430mm Laylax barrel (Drilled out the end cap so it can intrude into the silencer) plus It's running the Mancraft SDIK kit with an external HPA source. With a .45 I can hit the 75 meter target nicely and that's with zero creep. Recently I spent out and bought the edgi kit (The one Novritch uses) and I decided to go VSR pro route. Out of the box it doesn't come with a rail so that cost me another £15. I didn't have to alter anything to fit the kit, the barrel went in nicely and the only front end thing I changed was the hop arm to a type B. (I did R hop it too but that's another story). TBH, I'd get a Gspec every time! It's a nice gun, you can easily fit a longer barrel if need be.
  18. VSR all the way! I've upgraded 2 L96 now and they're still horrible! Despite what anyone says, try to get the TM VSR if possible, I've been hearing horror stories about nozzle alignment on the clones, EVEN the Bar 10. The TM will cost you more but stuff just works! all the upgrade parts are designed for the TM VSR, I've now fitted Airsoft pro, laylax, edgi and mancraft upgrades and although some require a tiny bit of modding, nothing has been too brutal! The finished result is a fairly lightweight gun that can do what you want it too! Case in point, My friend has a Maruzen L96 running 500fps with an upgraded spring/guide/nozzle/hop arm and every game there seems to be an issue!
  19. The first thing I went and bought when I got into Airsoft was a £70 fast helmet. I think i've worn it 4 times over the last 18 months however! I'm yet to try CQB and I'm going to run with it, also I have the gopro NVG mount which is really good on a helmet.
  20. Hey all, hopefully a simple question but I need to get a couple new Lipo batteries to power my TM Scar L CQC, up till now i've used a "Smart power" 7.4 1100mAh 20C battery which was OK but lacked punch and makes the gun prone to locking up in semi. I've been advised to get a 7.4 25-50C however I can't find one small enough to fit in the stock. The space I have to work with is: 110mm deep, 16mm width and 30mm heigh. I was told Turnigy Nanotech are the brand to go for however they don't seem to make one that small, any help appreciated!
  21. I have a clone of the Xcortech X3200 and it's been superb! TBH the site chronoes normally are at fault as they don't tend to use new batteries, many use paintball chronoes too which seem to be crazy inaccurate with 6mm BB's.
  22. They are but I believe they still contain ceramic powder. I've had a pack of 2000 open for a good few months and no change. What I'm saying is that I think proballs have taken measures to help sell the product, plus they seem to only pack in 1000 rather than 2000, I just buy 2 at a time (Just incase).
  23. TBH, The 3 month thing is a bit of an afterthought. I've been using proballs for the last 4 months now with zero issues! When people started groaning about the Nuprol and GF Rockets "Swelling" then proballs decided to instigate putting silica gel packs into their BB's aswell as vac packing them (Which also helps in transit too).
  24. Gunfire Rocket, BB king and Nuprol are all the same thing all from the same place! Avoid! Proballs are from a completely different manufacturer! (I just binned 6000 Rockets and 2000 Nuprols).
