I didn’t realise empty boxes were worth so much. I should empty out my garage and raise a fortune.

https://prefired.co.uk/ads/a-realistic-replica-of-an-assault-rifle/ Oooh, £500 for this super realistic replica assault rifle which retails for around £225 brand new. Where do I sign up? The write up in his advert has been cut and pasted straight from the blurb on Fire Supports website, so it’s not like he can say he doesn’t know the price.
-
https://prefired.co.uk/ads/we-tactical-glock-unique/ Here you go boys and girls, a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy this unique tactical Glockalike from WE. I’m guessing when he says unique what he’s actually talking about is the price, because every store has them and most of them are cheaper than this, especially when you add the £8 postage.
-
Bog standard out the box TM or a “fully upgraded” one, work carried out by god knows who? I’m taking the standard one for half the price thanks.
-
https://prefired.co.uk/ads/mws-fully-upgraded/ ? em, hang on a minute and I’ll get on to Switzerland and move some money around ? Twice the price of a brand new one, 4 extra mags, a Daniel Defence rail and a scope. But hang on, because it’s fully upgraded, so bargain.

Yeah, point made and taken onboard ??
-
I get the point that’s being made, and the prices on everything I’ve sold in the past and will sell in future are always a starting point and I’m not to proud to drop my prices if items don’t sell. Yeah, maybe £40 is more than some people are willing to pay for these and if they don’t sell I’ll change the price. But I’ve had some enquires about them already, so I’ll wait to see what happens. Offers are always considered and replied to on any of my sales.
-
It’s not a deceiving advert and there is no intent to deceive. The advert clearly states £40 each item, posted. A price has to be added to the post and it’s either put £40 or £120. Anyone who goes into that advert thinking they’re going to pick those 4 items up for £40 total, clearly has no idea of the value of the individual items. A quick scroll through the threads will show that items are regularly clumped together in one post with a price for one of the items on the main page. I’ve use this method often when selling multiple items and never had it questioned. It just shows the importance of reading an advert before looking to buy. £40 is a starting price. There’s usually negotiation in sales. Just because I can’t remember which brand they are doesn’t mean they’re cheap, nasty knockoffs.
-
Why, what’s the point of filling the classified thread with individual listed items when I can have them all in one post? Does it really make that much of a difference?

An unknown make L85 was found by Northumbria police on a tip in Gateshead recently. I've only seen a small picture, but it's described as and electric gun and appears to have a Susat attached. It's been seized and booked into lost property. I've spoken to the officer that seized it and he says there are no distinguishing features and he hasn't noticed any manufacturers markings. Anyone lost one recently let me know and I'll pass your details onto the officer. Obviously before collecting proof of ownership would be required.

I bought the 417 as my first brand new gun and it is awesome. But, it's quite bulky, has a bit of weight to it and the mags are quite big and cost a bit more than the 416/M4 mags. Also you'll need to buy specific pouches for the 417 mags as they will not fit into the smaller 416/M4 mag pouches. That said, I love my 417 and would only let it go for a gas 417.

Thanks for the advice lads. I think I'm looking more at Cyma again, I have heard some good reviews of their Ak's. I'll see what happens to the prices after Christmas. I've never used Gunfire before, but used TaiwanGun a few times and never been disappointed and their prices are always really competitive. I had been looking at the CM.040C, looking at something a little more tactical than the wood furniture, possibly with a Dboys GP-25. anyone had any experience?

I'm in the market for an AK74, nothing too expensive as it's mostly a collectors item with the occasional game play option, but I do want something that's going to work. I was going to buy a Cyma, Taiwangun have them for a reasonable price, but I've seen they also have APS blowback AK's for a little more than the Cyma. The APS externals look really nice, but I've seen mixed reviews on YouTube. On the other hand I've heard that Cyma AK's are really quite good. Has anyone got any experience of the APS guns and know if they're any good? It's not a make I've heard a lot about.

I've just noticed the wife's working on the 1st so I guess I'll not be going either, unless I can find a babysitter for the day. Here's hoping.

It's a good site. I'm a member, but don't get to go as often as I'd like. It's a woodland site, not huge, but definitely not small. Numbers vary from week to week, from 20s up to around 40s or 50s. There's a hard core of guys who go every game day and a regular bunch who come now and again. I'm in the now and again bunch due to family and work commitments. Everyone's very friendly and helpful, very ready to help out someone new. That said though, there is a lot of friendly banter. Facilities wise, there's an onsite shop, portacabin, where you can buy BB's and hire guns and the like. There's no toilet, but plenty of tree cover if needs be. Lunch is included in the walk on fee, Greggs sausage roll and beans, plus a cup of tea. Other than that you need to bring your own drinks and food as there's none on site and no shops nearby. The staff are happy to show people round on a game day if you're interested, but unsure, or you can just turn up, pay your fee and get stuck in. At the minute they're running games every two weeks over the winter period, but the rest of the year it's every week, always a Sunday. The next game is 1st Feb and I'm hoping I'm going to be there for that one. There's a Facebook page and a website with a small forum on. Someone will always answer any query you might have. In short, it's well worth coming along. You will have fun.

Thanks M_P, I think that's decision made.

Thanks guys. I think I may just buy the stock gun and replace the bits when they fail. As I said I'm more of a collector and don't get to play as much as I'd like because of family and work. So the chances are I'll only get to use it 3 or 4 times a year in between using my AEG's.

I'm intending to get myself a WE SCAR GBB in the next couple of months and I'm trying to decide how much to spend and where to get it from. At the moment Taiwan Gun have it on offer for around £160, plus postage. But Milspec Solutions do one with NPAS and I think an upgraded bolt for around £280. Although they are out of stock at the minute. I know I'll probably need to switch out the bolt carrier at some point, I've seen a bunch of reviews that say this will fail eventually, and an NPAS kit would be beneficial if I'm going to use the gun on game days. So the question is, is it worth getting the gun from Taiwan Gun and switching out the parts as they fail, or better to pay the extra £120 for the Milspec gun, when back in stock? Also, anyone who has a WE SCAR, on average how long will the stock gun last before bits start to fail? I'm more of a collector, than a full time skirmisher. Due to work and family I only get to play once or twice every few months, so I'm thinking Taiwan Guns may be okay. Any thoughts.

moron shoots kid with air-gun at football match WHY
Super64 replied to chris555's topic in General Discussion
This is nothing to do with airsoft and will have no impact on our sport whatsoever. People get locked up for doing stupid stuff with airguns all the time and our sport is never mentioned. We are, for the most part, responsible, intelligent people who know what we are doing and what not to do. These people are inbred idiots who think it's funny to shoot someone with an air gun. I think we're safe for now. -
Not with the Gas mate, I love the electric one. I might get the GBB in the new year.

VFC HK417. What can I say, I'm a sucker for H&K.

The Boot Repair Company, mate. I got in touch with them, cost around £65ish, plus delivery for genuine Vibram soles. They sent out a postage paid bag, I posted them off and got them back in about a week. They did a good job, defo good enough for work and will give me another year or twos wear out of them. Really worth doing. It's cheaper than buying a new pair and you wouldn't notice unless you looked up close.

I wear Salomon Cosmic 4D GTX and X Ultra GTX as my day to day civvie shoes and they are awesome. I'm looking to get a pair of Quest, but don't think I'd wear them for airsoft. I would say they are definitely worth getting. I use Lowa Combat GTX as my airsoft boots. I wear them for work and love them. Very comfortable straight out the box and last for ages. I've got two pairs, my old work, now airsoft pair that I've had for about 4-5 years and my newer ones that I've had for around 2-3 years and just had re-soled. I wore Magnums before the Lowa's and I would only get about a years wear out of them, I won't use anything else for work now. Awesome ankle support and foot protection on all types of terrain and totally water, (and blood, vomit, urine and all sorts of other stuff I come across on a daily basis) proof. Totally worth the money.

Howdo Borderdaz from a fellow NSC member in South Shields. I don't get across as much as I'd like, what with family and work, but hope to be back soon, so probably see you there.
